Might play GoW1/2 soon. Picked up 3 yesterday for 30 bucks.
Anything you'd relate SRW to? I'm wondering what to expect as I've only played the SRW games that are on NDS so far and am literally all of 15 minutes into Alpha Gaiden.

Fuck, I don't even remember where I in 13 at this point. I stopped about 2 months ago so I could finish XII International Ed. and ...stopped that to play Revenant Wings...

I could have been done with Dantes Inferno tonight but I screwed up and missed a collectable and lost about an hour.

Hopefully I can get the plat done pretty quick. I've got nearly all the collectables now and just need to finish the game, do the challenge rooms and then start again to clean up any trophies I missed and level up the other path.

Ah, I haven't played the NDS ones and I can't really find anything off the top of my head to relate AG to. I do remember (at least at the time) AG being one of the more difficult SRW games. Alpha was laughably easy, AG ramped up the difficulty a bit more by comparison. I remember being turned off by it at first because you didn't have the original characters to create like the other games, but gameplay wise it was a lot better.

And with a fully translated version there's all the little quirks in dialogue to appreciate.

Only Super Robot Wars I played were the OG's. Really good and solid games, I liked them.

I picked up the first Mass Effect on steam. I dont know whats the big deal about that game, too much fuckin around for me and not enough shooting. I was gonna play thorough it cuz apparently there's some tits but I cant stand the quest system in that game.

    Finished Momohime's ending.

Ending was kinda weird, but eh.

    On to DQ9 now!

All the elevators and running around irritated the hell out of me too.

Still need to finish that game.. quit it right after it became slightly interesting too.

There will always be people who don't appreciate Mass Effect's awesomeness. At least it isn't tunnel vision like 13, and most of the quests in the game don't take a long time to do. AND a good deal of quests in the game have long term effects that you'll see in ME2 and likely ME3.

    It's a subjective thing.

With the subject being Mass Effect, there is only 1 conclusion to come to.

I was looking more for "awesome", but I think this'll have to do. If you can get to ME2, things fucking explode with goodness.

That's what I've heard. Not long to go anymore I think, might just give it a try later.

There's really not THAT much running around if you just go through the story. The sidequests in number 1 are shitty for the most part anyway. There's a couple of good ones but you may aswell just skip em all if you're not enjoying it too much. 2 streamlines everything a ton, I think it's a lot better overall but 1 had a much better equipment system (well, there practically IS no invo system in 2).

Yeah, fuck the perfectionist in me. I think I'd have enjoyed the game a lot more if I didn't try to do every single sidequest I found.

Now you 2 made me want to play it again =/

I WISH THIS WERE TRUE BUT IT IS NOT.
Remember how much The Citadel pissed me off at the start? WHERE THE FUCK WAS THE ACTION!?
Then fucking Noveria, god damn I want to blast people! etc etc

At least I can say the end of the game was completely worth all the bullshit.

I guess it's because I already knew exactly where to go on my latter playthrough/s when I rushed, but it wasn't too bad at all. Aside from the shitty Mako segment, if you just do one of the Noveria objectives to get into the garage it doesn't involve much running around at all (although I suggest you do them all, that whole section was awesome imo).

I liked the Noveria section as well, considering it could end up being one of the most important parts to do for ME3. Really, the only parts I hated are when they force you to use the Mako, god I hate that thing.

Citadel takes a while to get used to, but once you know where to go and all that, it doesn't take long to do whatever you need.

Yes, nothing ever takes too long in any game once you already know everything.
    Who cares about that?

When you're first starting the game and it gives you a tiny taste of the action and then says... "LOL NOW YOU HAVE TO WAIT LIKE AN HOUR TO FIGHT MORE THAN A COUPLE OF DUDES AT A TIME" things get a little frustrating.

Just wasted three hours playing Killing Floor. First time giving it a real run. Shit is more fun than L4D, and the players I've come across so far actually work together to get things done. Brought my Medic from lvl0 to 2, will probably main it to 5 since no one else seems to play it that I've seen so far, and it seems like a pretty fucking important class to bring along on the harder difficulties given how fast you can die when swarmed.
