don't be afraid to let loose with your skills, save points are pretty abundant. A few characters get nice attack bonuses that affect the whole party, and jaster's first or second AoE damage skill is fantastic.

I fucking loved Rogue Galaxy, especially the skill system. Grinding for drops to unlock the board was a ton of fun. I never did that Insectron game but meh.

Finished Limbo earlier today. Somewhat disappointing at the end though I expected as much. Still a decent game though.

I love DQ9, really makes me feel like replaying DQ7.

Playing GTA IV. When I first played didnt like it to much but im glad I gave it another shot. Really liking it this time around. Those pigeons are driving me crazy tho lol... Should I just wait till I beat the game to find them?

been playing Red Dead Redemption a lot lately and have been grinding trophies as much as possible. I have really enjoyed the game up to this point but i haven't play multiplayer yet. i want to finish the single player trophies (atleast the simple ones) and then start on multiplayer. Hunting has been fun and doing the challenges are pretty fun also.

Cut short my 2nd playthrough/farming session in FFIV DS and started up DQIV. Fun so far. I can't wait to get some money and pick up DQIX.

Yeah, don't see myself trying that either. This game had more cheap deaths than any given Mega Man game. Though that isn't completely fair given that touching most anything the wrong way will kill you.

Just finished Lost in Shadow for wii.

Such an amazing game, reminded me a lot of Limbo but with a totally different style of platforming. Some great puzzles, nothing too hard but just enough to keep your mind going the whole time. Really nice ico-ish vistas and setpieces. There's 90 memories to collect (I got 89, grr) and sword-based combat, with some rudimentary leveling up. Only downside is the somewhat unnecessary backtracking towards the end, but the game only clocks in at around 8 hours or so.

JP version is completely in english if anyone can track it down, or PM me if you can't find it.

Picked up Dark Void for 10 smackers today, so either that or Deadly Premonition up next. Then Arc Rise Fantasia and Alan Wake DLC, can't fkn wait!

Honestly, the combat is pretty good. It isn't just generic turn based combat like every other terrible JRPG. The plot and characters are awful though. The gay character is just one of your classmates at the start, after shit starts going down you don't really see him, so whilst he is very annoying (sure sounding homophobic around here!) it's only for the first hour or so. If you can find it for very cheap it might be worth a try, but it's probably not worth any more than $10~15 at absolute most. When I played it I was enjoying it at first but then got very bored. Put it down for a couple of weeks and when I started to play it again I got really in to it and enjoyed it a fair bit.

Just finished FF Tactics and I was kind of let down by the end, but oh well. I'm going to dust off FFXII now and go through that, I never finished my first play through after getting like 90% through so I'm hoping to try and do everything this time around.

Never got into 12 for some reason. Still need to finish 13 here. But later this week I'll have BlazBlue: Continuum Shift to keep me busy in between FFXIV sessions.
