so these are my gaming choices are right now. help me out. I'm looking at you, Atreides, since I was your videogame backlog devil's advocate for so long back in the day.

    - play Valkyria Chronicles
    - play Disgaea 3
    - hook the PS2 back up and play Disgaea 2 first
    - buy Bully: Scholarship Edition for the Wii

right now I'm leaning toward Disgaea 3. Bully seems mighty temping, but I think that's just because I don't own it and new things always seem shinier.

This by far. Never played Bully, but I'll throw that in to second place anyway.

    ya play VC

which reminds me I need to play it too, eventually. My backlog is just retarded at this point.

Just Cause 2 is getting so boring, my points card needs to get here so I can play Lara Croft

aaaand beat Just Cause 2, story missions are so fucking short (there's only like 4-5, wtf) and all of the faction missions are pretty much the same, so it might as well not even have a story whatsoever. Still have some achievements to wrap up, currently at 65% completion but I'm so fucking bored with it, it'll have to wait.

Also finally went all the way through Penny Arcade Ep. 2. I liked Episode 1 a bit better, but it's more of the same and that's always good. Really bummed there won't be an Episode 3, the RPG elements/battles go so perfectly with the point and click adventure, it almost makes it hard to play monkey island afterwards.

Just ran through the entirety of flOw, which I got for free a while back (for valentines day I think?). Contemplating springing for the DLC, but eh.

Now I'm just killing time before my points card gets here so I can play Lara Croft (Which you should all try!). Played a little Crystal Defenders and Savage Moon, then going to get the last 2 weapons I need in Castle Crashers, then finish my last mission in my Infamous evil playthrough.

Been playing Red dead redemption lately, I still have not the campaign yet, Im somewhere in blackwater. Ive been doing multiplayer lately, Recently unlocked advanced coop games and well, I keep getting my ass handed to me with shitty team mates. I was wondering if anyone wanted to team up with me for a few games on xbox live.

You're definitely going to want at minimum three people for the advance co-op rounds if you're aiming for Golding them all for the achievement.

Took I & Shoj a bit over 4 hours to complete all of the co-op achievements starting from the normal difficulty, had to rely on two others for advance, and one of the fucktards made us have to restart one mission twice because he doesn't know when to *not* use dynamite around shit we need to protect, along with not flipping the fucking stage coach while we're on a get away.

I stopped playing the game because buying XP potions is inefficient (and a waste of my HL), and trying to have them get in on group attacks is flaky at best even when I sit them next to my stronger members in the school.

What I've been doing is putting my mages in the "Robber School" group and sitting them next to my main damage dealing characters in Homeroom. This way they leech mana off of them while also having a higher chance of getting in on a team attack. This is strictly for healers though since I've never had any trouble leveling up any damage dealing mage. Also, healers gain xp by healing people, and casting spells in general, so there IS a way to level them up outside of killing things, you just don't get mana for that.

Since my PS3 died (courtesy of FFXIII >_>) I've been playing Chocobo's Dungeon on the Wii and MGS Peace Walker / Star Ocean on PSP.

Couldn't get into Chocobo's Dungeon at first but now it's just addictive. My only complaint is that the main story isn't very long, but there are lots of fun bonus dungeons to play. 1HP dungeon is just brutal... x_X

Trying to finish Trauma Center New Blood which has been sitting in my drawer for like 3 years before Other M comes out next week.

On the topic of Wii games, the random image thread has me wanting to get into the Silent Hill series. Does the Wii Silent Hill game take the place of Silent Hill for PS1 in terms of continuity?

Just finished a game called deadly premonition. Wasn't expecting much but actually ended up enjoying it a lot. Kind of a silent hill/ resident evil type of survival horror. Worth playing imo. Also heard its only 20 bucks on amazon, wish I knew that before I spent 10 to rent it from blockbuster.

Yea, Shattered Memories is supposed to be a reboot/retelling of the story of Silent Hill 1, although it goes in kinda a different direction. Gameplay-wise it's very unlike the rest of the series, since there's no combat whatsoever. I really enjoyed the story and the exploration/puzzles, but some of the action sequences through the nightmare world can be a little annoying.

If you're looking for other survival horror games to play for Wii, Fatal Frame 4 (you'd need a modded wii to play the fan translation) is probably the best. Also if you liked Trauma Center you should try Trauma Team.

Thanks for clarifying. It seems kind of lame without any combat, so I'll try to track down Silent Hill for PS1 and deal with the dated graphics. I've played FF 1 and 2 for PS2 and remember enjoying them.

As far as Trauma Team, at one point I was really into the Trauma Center series. I got S on all ops in Under the Knife and XS on all ops for Second Opinion, so I was really excited about New Blood. For some reason, though, I couldn't get into it like I did with the previous TC games. Trauma Team is what actually reminded me that I hadn't finished New Blood and I figured why bother buying a new Trauma Center game when I haven't finished the old one.

If you're on PS3 version, you can unpatch the game and spam Soloman's Folly in online LAN. You get between 1200-2200 exp every time you clear it, then you can just press retry and do it again. Highest I've gotten is around 2300 exp in one round, each round will take you about 2-3mins.

I don't think 360 version has it, it was a bonus for PS3 version where the Walton Gang hides out, unless they added it later on.
