Got Mega Man 10 downloaded. Game doesn't disappoint, although the only boss I've beat so far is Sheep Man.

Still grinding in Disgaea 3. Got the game down to the point where I can go from 1 to 9999 in 10min of killin'.
After I dinged 9999 today on my two mains (after some duping of my lvl136 Testament w/ 8x 300 statisticians >.> ), went pirate hunting and killed 12 groups for the trophies. Shit is way too easy at my level, and unfortunately I'm now plowing my way through the x-dimension maps to unlock land of carnage where hopefully I can't just one-shot everything. I was kinda expecting x-dimension to be a lot harder, like, designed for lvl5k+ and up, but nope, not even close.
I should be good for platinum at my going rate, but I have no idea how strong the 3 pirates that appear in Land of Carnage item world are. I'm assuming the Baal pirates are just as OP as Baal himself who just one-shots my entire crew with ease.
Invisible wolves in Oblivion (not too far from the sewers where you start the game) are these normal? I don't remember encountering them during my first playthrough a few years back.
Fallout 3 GotY, holy hell this game is addicting. Easy to get lost into, tons of ways to finish the game. Cleared the main story line and finishing off side quests before going to the expansions. Gotta get this done before New Vegas comes out.
stuck on Ys: The Oath in Felghana, on the boss of the mountain area, some sort of giant dragon. he's not too bad until he's near death and starts spamming a move that drops you down a long mine shaft full of rock ledges that smack into you on the way down, taking out big portions of your health along the way. I can't figure out how to get past that part without getting hurt badly. I'm guessing you're supposed to time the earth dash move to break through the rock ledges while you're invincible, but I can't time it right.
so yeah, anyone who beat him... wtf?
in the meantime I'm feeding my gaming ADD with Shiren The Wanderer for SNES, fucking love it. losing everything upon death makes for tense gameplay and some very hard decisions - the better the equipment the easier it makes things, but the harder it hurts when you die. do you store the really good stuff in warehouses for your next run, or use it and risk losing it forever? and the fact that you're expected to die - a lot of content is only available after multiple deaths and restarts - makes me want to try out Dragon Quarter.
sad to hear they removed the level penalty upon death in Shiren for Wii. I can't see the game being anywhere near as fun if you keep your experience points.
and as always, Gideon Zhi's team has done a fantastic job with the localization. it's almost pathetic how much better his work is than some of the major publishing companies.
Just finished Bioshock 2 again last week. I really want Minerva's Den so that might be my next purchase, hopefully it's got a strong story like the rest of the single player game.
Currently playing:
ME2 DLC - Finished 1 playthrough, gonna do another on Insanity for the last achievement.
Bayonetta - Finally... holy fuck this game is awesome. I foresee myself farming the shit out of halos later, to buy all the nice things in the shop. Anyone have any tips on that?
Dead Rising 1 - Decided to give this another chance after the Case Zero demo. It's a lot better than I remember. Should I focus more on leveling up and finishing the main story before I start going for achievements/survivors? Anyone know a decent way to farm PP?
Batman Brave & the Bold - New side-scrolling beat em up for wii. Just put it on my HD so I haven't tried it yet today.
Basically just killing time til Kingdom Hearts arrives... which probably won't even be til next week since I picked free shipping on amazon and they tend to send those all out at the same time, a day or 2 after release.
hahahaha that is exactly how it goes. (edit: @Kiarax, stupid atreides getting in the way)
I've learned my lesson, the really good stuff doesn't come out until I find warehouse pots.
Wish I could help you with the dragon but I haven't played that game in 2 years so I don't remember how I avoided taking damage at the falling part. I do remember it raping me a few times but I somehow figured out a way around it eventually.
@Atreides, You know Release date shipping on that game was only a dollar. I got an email saying that is the new price for it or something.
eh it's too late now, and I have plenty to keep me busy until I get it
There's a couple of easy ways to cheese it, but you need certain weapons (and accessories if you want a good amount). You need Durga and Kilgore weapons to do the trick. Bracelet of Time and Gaze of Despair speed up the amount of Halos you get by a hell of a lot. I'd honestly suggest you just play through the game normally first though, then if you plan to continue on the higher difficulties you should have all the stuff you need to do the trick and get them quickly. Should be easy to find out how to do the trick I'm talking about though, if not I can explain it.
I'd suggest just messing about a bit at first to get some levels. The story can be a pain in the ass if you start at level 1. Probably wanna get to at least level 10~15 just messing around doing whatever you like before you make a real attempt at it. That way you familiarize yourself with the game and locations a bit. Fastest way to get PP really is just rescuing survivors. You can get a lot easily just from rescuing the couple on the roof at the start of the game and taking a picture of em whenever you die too. There's also a gym out in Al Fresca Plaza where you can get quite a bit (it's also probably the safest place in the game outside the saferoom, lol). Run on the treadmills and you'll get a few PP bonuses and a large one for doing them all. Then smash all the punching bags for more. Chances are whilst you're messing around you'll die plenty, so you can do the easy stuff each time and it racks up pretty quickly.
There's also some books you can get that increases PP obtained for certain things (one for killing zombies, one for photographs, I think one for getting more points from rescuing survivors too, but I'm not 100% on that one). If you ever plan on doing Zombie Genocider (I'd suggest beating the game first, Megabuster reward for Genocider breaks the game in to a million pieces) make sure to grab the zombie one.
I wouldn't worry too much about achievements until you beat the story. You'll likely get a bunch of random ones doing so, but there's a ton of really obscure ones (like eating every single food item in the game, sounds simple but there's random crap you have to do like letting certain foods rot or cooking them) that you probably don't have too much time to bother with unless you really plan ahead.
That was way too much text in my half asleep state. Curse you Atreides.
sorry lol... yeah I actually played Dead Rising previously when it first came out (when I loaded it up yesterday it said August 2006 lol) and I was already level 16. I've been kinda screwing around and rescuing survivors, got up to level 21 over 2-3 deaths or so. I didn't know about the PP trick in the gym so I'll check that out, thanks. Now that I know about the small chainsaws (from the clown) and the 3 books that can make them last basically forever I'm kinda excited about seeing how far I get, maybe I'll just try to beat the main story now that I'm decently high leveled and worry about the other stuff later.
Oh yeah... if I don't plan on getting Dead Rising 2 but I really liked the demo, is it worth getting the full version of Case Zero? Hmm...
Personally I just farmed the Chapter 7 boss myself. That is a bit slower than some other methods apparently.
Namely, do this:

and then you can do this:

Also I would highly suggest that you don't really worry about farming until your 2nd or even 4rd playthrough, as it can obviously kill the excitement of the game pretty quickly.
Finished Mega Man 10. Game was pretty fun, but the story was pretty weak.
Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes demo isn't half bad for a DW clone. I've played a lot of DW clones over the years but this feels more "polished" in a sense on combos. I believe this is based off of an anime? I've seen pics of the samurai guy with an eye patch ridding a horse once.
The Hero Time, and Basara guage, fills up not so much, as the Mousou in DW, so it doesn't become a total rape fest on grunts/generals. Only real thing that bothers me is the guy in red is voiced by JYB. God damn Ichigo voice all over the place screaming.
I may buy this someday.
Hero Time = slo mo for a couple of seconds for everything around you, even generals. The need to actually block against them too is great.
The two greatest animu clips in existence:

Whelp, I didn't even know about either of those methods. I guess nobody uses the kilgore/durga combo on that one boss anymore, lol.
A game based on an anime that's based on an anime-styled game.
There's also a Basara fighting game on arcade and PS2, fun as fuck with bros. Not a very balanced game but just fun.
I want the full game now so I can put my guns on.
Demo only offers Ieyasu Tokugawa and Mitsunari Ishida as playable characters.
