are there any magazines that up the knife gloves (or beam saber) durability?
are there any magazines that up the knife gloves (or beam saber) durability?
Not a clue. I roll with the 3 Gambling magazines since I'm farming cash and the Leadership one since it makes survivors faster and whatnot.
There's a book for bladed weapons but I've not found it, not holding my breath that it would help though.
You can make a pair of Knife-Gloves every time you run past the safe house anyway. There's gloves in the sports window and a bowie knife on top of the news stand.
My understanding is that there are no magazines for combo items, they only work for normal items.
Yeah, Combo items are a double edged sword. Some are amazing and some are mediocre. You can't improve them and you can't give them to survivors. The knife gloves are awesome for psychos though and the spiked bat handles most everything else.
I've noticed that DR2 is a lot more forgiving than the original. There's about 64 possible survivors and the trophy/achievement unlocks at 50. I'm just past Case 4 and I have yet to really have an issue with timing. I was also able to get the 8 survivors at once achievement very early on with almost no hassle at all. The survivor AI is exponentially better than it was in the original, even without the magazine. Heck, most of the health loss I've seen on survivors so far has been from me hitting them when trying to clear out zombies.
The one issue I have is the combat. They nerfed the jump kick and added a stupid leg-drop to the same button. Zombies also seem a lot more aggressive now and can grab you from a few feet away. It's not that bad really, it just took a bit to get used to.
Though, I'm pissed because I read somewhere on some random page who the final boss was. ><
So far, the only psychos I've had issues with were...
Spoiler: show
Loving the game though. The original was one of my favorites all time and I'm enjoying this one even more.
Beyond that, I'm playing FFXIV, Civ 4, Starcraft and Monster Hunter Tri. The second Endless Ocean game is on the way from Gamefly so I'm looking forward to trying it as weel.
Yeah...
Spoiler: show
gamefly finally sent dead rising 2 today, and since its showing as "low" im actually pretty happy. still trying to finish LBP trophys but acing some of those levels really piss me off so i have to put it down for something else
FF4: After Years worth bothering with? I'm about 3 hours into the first chapter of the game, and so far the story has been stupidly slow, and every boss demands 15-20min of grinding for you to stand a chance against them.
At the rate things are going I'll probably call it quits after I finished this chapter. Only thing of interest so far was climbing the collapsed mountain beside Mist since it was actually a new location and not just an extended version of an existing area.
Got lvl164 in PSP2 now, but I'm gonna take a break from the game now till I can get my PS3 back.
Dunno what to play now, dunno if I should start playing those DS RPGs or finally pick up ClaDun. It's actually been getting pretty good reviews from what I've seen, only seen very few low reviews, and those were 3/5 and 6-7/10. I haven't found anything lower then that. I don't go by reviews really, but it's not to see ClaDun scoring fairly well.
I'm debating if I'm gonna pick NUNS2 or not now.
Had to finally MAKE myself stop playing Enslaved. The game is a lot like Uncharted 2 was for me, in the sense that the story just keeps pulling you along and you just don't want to stop. The game is going to be under appreciated and overlooked I am absolutely certain of it. I however, am absolutely loving the game.
God of War 3. I'm pretty terrible at it, since I haven't really played a game with that style fighting since maybe DMC2? It's still a beautiful game, and some of the kills are just jaw-dropping brutal.
Also playing FF Tactics again when I get frustrated with GoW3.
Picked up L4D1 and 2 on Steam. L4D1 is done and not too bad, though I still need practice.
Stupid question about Steam BTW, if you are playing something will it pause other downloads? Since I noticed before L4D1 booted up it said it was pausing all downloads, and worried if it will resume them or not.
I was at Gamestop yesterday to pre-order New Vegas, when I saw a big display for Enslaved. After reading the case I thought it sounded cool, but decided not to get it mainly because I hadn't heard anything about it pre release, so figured it couldn't be that good. After checking a few sites though, Enslaved has been getting good reviews, so I may go grab it today.
So, FF: 4 Heroes of Light is super goddamn cute, but whilst downloading it I went off on a GBA tangent and holy shit, I missed out on some great stuff. I'm like all of 10 minutes into Yggdra Union and this game is fucking awesome. Any little known favorites? I grabbed about 30 games from random "top" lists and whatever else seemed interesting; I fear I won't see my DS for at least a week at this point.
tingle's rosy rupeeland!
Astro Boy: Omega Factor. BEST GBA GAME OF ALL TIME. It is seriously one of those games everybody missed and shouldn't have. Also Mario and Luigi RPG if you missed that too, both the DS ones are great too, but the original is still by far my favourite.
CIV V and Halo Reach at the moment. Waiting for Fallout and Fable. CIV V is fun but it gets boring hella fast, same for Reach. I wish they'd take off the Rank cap.
I finally platinum'd Vesperia, and it only took 170 hours! Lol. Since then, I've been playing random shit. Started Brutal Mario and it's pretty fun so far.
I'll probably try out that Mario & Luigi RPG. I loved the Paper Mario series and that seems kind of similar.
