Just finished MGS4. The parts when I was actually playing the game were good (except for Act 3, which was just horrendous), but the cutscenes were just obscenely long. Seriously, 90 minute cutscenes? The fuck? Think I'm gonna move on to Blur now, just to change things up a bit.
Finished up my first run of DR2 over the weekend. Not sure how soon I want to go back and grind the last 3 levels.
plowing through The World Ends With You. my old save had max stat Neku and some of the best pins, was working on maxing out the partners. kinda sucks to start over but at least the game is a lot easier this time around since I know what I'm doing.
I ended up buying bioshock 2, 3d dot game heroes and armored core 4 for the buy 2 get 1. My freaking backlog is ridic right now. I'm still grinding away on disgaea 4, trying to get enough good equipment to start Land of Carnage(i think I'm at 220 hours). Playing a lot of sports champs still, almost done 3starring all of Table Tennis(which im sure most people do). After I do those I'll go back to Dante's Inferno and beat/platinum that. Then I get to play the new games....unless i go back to Skate3 or Uncharted...
Disgaea 4 isn't even out yet!
I know ya meant Disgaea 3, though.
I still need to kill Uber Prinny Baal in D2DHD, but fuck that, burnt out from Disgaea for now.
Anyone play Knights in the Nightmare? It seems the DS version plays just like PSP version, which releases next month.
The game looks kinda fun, but it also looks like it can be complicated at the same time. Thinking about trying the PSP version out when it releases.
And man, I wanna try it out Students of the Round, but dunno if it'll even be released here. Dungeon Crawler on 360, so would be kinda nice for me.
On side note: I finally got past that damn Wiegraf battle in FFT, now just trying to get used to the game again.
fun but complicated sums it up. I remember putting it down about halfway in because the battles were starting to take too long if I went for all the hidden secret items, but it was definitely worthwhile. you've reminded me, I need to download it again actually.
don't think it could possibly be as good on the PSP though - I'd guess they would swap the touch screen controls for the analog stick, and it seems like that would make it more difficult to control. could be wrong, but I guess we'll see.
Yeah I really don't see it working quite so well on the PSP. Although hectic dodging of stuff with a touch screen is kind of shitty too when your hand ends up covering some of the screen. I'll give it a shot when it does come out and see how it is though.
Started rocking chrono trigger and advance wars:ds again, on xbox is dead rising 2 and finishing the saboteur
I loved the delicious fanboy tears when CT: DS essentially went and confirmed CC as canon. I have no clue why so many CT fans hate on CC.
love chrono cross. people need to learn to appreciate that game.
So I finally fixed my PS3 after like 2+ years (damn disk read error, and me being too cheap to realize the fix was just a replacement blu-ray drive) and picked up FFXIII and I'm rolling through that. It's pretty fun so far but it's a little too linear for me but rules dictate if you put Final Fantasy in the title I must like it.... except X-2.... I still can't get past the first couple hours of the game before I get too annoyed from it all.
The canceled Castlevania game that eventually became SOTN.

When I played it, my PS1 was using a weird trick that basically loaded the first part of a PAL game, then stopped the disc so you could pop in an NTSC game and trick the system into thinking it was PAL. It was amazing, but the problem was when you needed to change discs, you couldn't unless the game happened to want you to save before a disc change.
Cause of this, I couldn't play disc 2 of CC for year. At least 4-5, and that just made me want it so much more. When I finally did play it (and PE1), it was still every bit of awesome.
That's the kind of nostalgia I love.
CC disc 2 is where all the awesome happens aside from the Dead Sea/Tower of Geddon, right? I can definitely see that being a cool experience.
haha that must have sucked. waiting that long to play the rest of the game. at least it was worth it. CC still has one of my favorite endings ever, maybe even my favorite of all-time. plus the ending song is just unbelievably good, even for Mitsuda.
on another note, EVERYONE GO BUY ALUNDRA ON PSN. supposedly it's available today. haven't gotten home yet to check (plus I own the damn thing) but if you like RPGs or action RPGs or puzzle games or games with awesome dialogue or games with some pretty nice PS-era 2d graphics, it's worth a shot at $5.99.

The guy just remade it into what Bloodletting possibly(doubt) would have been.Castlevania: The Bloodletting is the commonly used name (yet never confirmed) for a canceled Castlevania game that was intended to be released for the Sega 32X add-on for the Sega Genesis console sometime in 1996 or 1997. A single sprite for three characters are all that remain of this game. Through later interviews with Iga, it has been revealed that the game was intended to feature Richter Belmont, Maria Renard, and a rival to Richter.
Although announced for the Sega 32x (including two reported, although currently unrecovered, screenshots), the game soon disappeared from the radar. Sometime thereafter, Symphony of the Night was announced for the PlayStation. It is assumed that the development team that was working on Bloodletting eventually became the team at work on Symphony, and their work was later used in part or in whole in that game (again, the similarities to some sprites would help to point in that direction). The sprite for the rival became reworked as the sprite for Richter Belmont in Symphony of the Night, while Richter's original sprite later became Fake Trevor's.
