Minecraft (PC) -Minecrack is my addiction... the game calls to me.

Fallout: New Vegas (360) -Not putting a lot of time into it until they release another patch. Have really enjoyed what I have played though.

Batman: Arkham Asylum (360) -Rented this about a year ago and never finished it. Re-rented and started over in an attempt to finish it this time.

Bioshock (360) -Same as Batman except this time I bought it. Got put on the back burner until New Vegas and Batman are done at least.

FF6/FF3 (GBA) -Until recently I had never put more than an hour into the game, but now I am attempting to finish it. Once I finish it I might move onto either 1 or 5.... or 13..

FF1 is so bad. the only version I like is the NES version, the other ones make it so easy it's pointless. the only fun in FF1 in my opinion is the grindfest, and the new versions get rid of even that. sure they look and sound pretty but meh.

5 is fantastic though. mediocre story but some of the best gameplay of the series.

The GBA upgrade at least gave you a sense of direction of wtf you were supposed to go. Granted they did keep the 'mob encounter every step' locations intact. ;/

But yeah, game was piss easy, which made the extra dungeons a bore as you waded through 50 floors of mobs you kill in one hit, just to get mowed down by your boss of choice at the end.

Anyways, still playing Alundra here, game is fucking long, 12 hours currently and I'm exploring the Sanctuary atm. Hope to get some new jumping boots soon as the precision-platforming sections of this game are by far the worst parts of it. It also bugs me that the game appears to have missables, unless you're able to re-travel the dream locations later on, which I doubt.

Only version I got into was the PS1 version. It's a good game, but it comes to a grinding halt at Elf Town though Melmond.

In Elfheim it's because you need to get level 3 and 4 magic, which is fairly pricey. I can't remember what it was about Melmond though, think it was the Earth Cave being fairly large and having enemies that can poison you.

So a friend of mine got 4 copies of DogFighter on Steam, while it is an interesting game is seems pretty buggy still.

yeah FF1 has a couple choke points where grinding becomes necessary even on the PS1 version, but try the NES version if you think that's bad. although in any version the key is to get to Crescent Lake right away. if you do it at the earliest possible point the enemies will nearly wipe you out in one battle, but they'll also give you insane gold and xp. and then you can do the same thing at Onrac once you get the airship. after that you're basically set until the Temple of Fiends, which is a pain in the ass no matter how you do it.

not that I've played the game four or five times and know the best possible route through it or anything >_>

Grinding is never necessary in FF1... well, aside from challenge games like solo games or 4x white mage.
Hell, I had one save where I class changed with my party at Lv12. Seriously.

True, but you still got a lot of grinding to do for money even on Original difficulty in the PS1 version. I can't remember what enemy it was in the temple of fiends, but I did find one that had crap damage (just a lot of HP) which I abused by spamming my healing helmets to keep my HP up while my Knight and Black Belt took care of everything else.

temple of fiends is such a bitch. although it's nothing compared to FF3's (not 6) end dungeon... that place was insane. four mega-bosses, two final bosses, all of which can easily tear apart even a well-prepared party, and no save points, not to mention the dungeon is exceedingly long and filled with difficult enemies. oh and I repeat, no freaking save points. I think I might kill myself if I were playing that without save states and died on Dark Cloud.

I never did finish the last dungeon in the DS remake though, maybe it has save points added in. they would be a godsend, that's for sure.

Had been playing FF7 again for a trip down memory lane, but as of tonight I'll be combining that with Rock Band 3.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow; lots of little things that irk but mostly really fun and awesome to look at, plus the ending was pretty cool. A few things I didn't totally understand, but awesome nonetheless.

Mirror's Edge. The combat scenes blow but otherwise it's pretty fun. Definitely worth the 10e.

Also ordered Bayonetta. I wonder if I should start it on highest difficulty from the beginning or just play on 'normal'...

Highest difficulty is, as I recall, pretty goddamn hard because of witch time or something that affects it. I'd try Normal on a first playthrough and just enjoy it as the ridiculously fun game it is instead of tacking on extra work; there's replay value too so if you want to do a hard playthrough afterward you'll have a few reasons to do so.

You can't start on anything but Normal. You unlock Hard and Infinite Climax, just like DMC.

Edit: Okay I guess you can start on Easy but fuck you.

Picked up Titan quest and having a ball with it, although it's pretty difficult since your stat growth really makes a huge impact on you within the first hour of the game. Monsters also don't seem to respawn unless you exit the game and load up your character again to.

Finished Batman: Arkham Asylum and wow what an awesome game, it even made me try and find as many secrets as I could without a guide and not many games do that to me. I did have 2 complaints with the game but they are easily overlooked...
    Spoiler: show

1: The Bane encounter was kinda meh in the fact that you fight Bane-like enemies throughout the rest of the game. I know that is kinda the point in the storyline where if Batman fails the army of Banes will run wild through Gotham but I still wished the Bane encounter would have been more unique.

2: The final cutscene was really short and meh. The fact that they had Batman go after Dent next was a really meh thing for me. I get the fact that it shows Batman is always trying to protect Gotham but still. Batman just battled his way through Joker's thugs, Venom powered thugs, Bane, Ivy, Scarecrow, Killer Croc (kinda), Zsaz, and a Venom powered Joker. I wanted to see Batman bleeding, I wanted to see him hurt, because I wanted to see him push through the pain and come out on top despite it and they didn't really touch on that. But maybe that's just me. EDIT: The damage to the suit and the minor cut on his face were nice touches though.

    Definitely at least a rent.

Also, I just picked up Dead Rising 2 (didn't play the first one) and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011.
