So What Are YOU Playing?

Picked up Trine since it was on sale over at Steam (5 dollars) and got to say it's a blast. It's sort of like The Lost Vikings.

Anyone play NISA games a lot? ZHP just released last week, haven't got chance to check it out yet, but it looks pretty decent.

I've put about 5~6 hours in to it now and I'm starting to lose interest already. Nothing particularly hard so far (aside from side dungeon stuff) but the difficulty is all over the place. First 3 chapters were a total joke, as was the first half of chapter 4. Then the second part of chapter 4 got a whole ton harder out of nowhere. The game tells you early on that avoiding battles is a good thing but if you do that in there you'll quickly get stomped as soon as you enter the boss room, you pretty much have to kill damn near every enemy in the dungeon to be strong enough to take the boss without grinding a ton. Also the AI is stupid as hell, it's ridiculously easy to get enemies stuck on things, so if they don't have a ranged attack you can make anything a joke by giving them no chance to retaliate. Once Felghana gets dumped I'll probably end up deleting it off my PSP. The dialogue and absolutely retarded plot was enjoyable but I can't say the same for the gameplay systems personally.

I'll probably just pass on this one then, unless I run out of games to play or looking for a new PSP game to play, then I'll probably give this a go and see how I like it.

I just picked up Dead Rising 2 (didn't play the first one) and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011.

Didn't care for either of these and I spent more time on Minecraft than I did on them.

When I returned them I picked up Medal of Honor (360, 2010) and Enchanted Arms (360) but I didn't get a chance to play either yet because Golden Sun (GBA) sucked me in for 6 hours straight. Enjoying the game so far but the battles seem kinda easy so far cause I've had only 2 deaths total. I may be overleveled though (lv.16 and just beat the Xian cave dojo dungeon.... thing). The puzzles so far are really awesome though because they are in the middle ground of "not too hard" and "not too obvious", I've only needed to use a guide once so far.

I really need to stop focusing on games that are either paid for already or free and instead focus on the games I'm renting.

Oath in Felghana came out, so I'll probably just play the crap outta this and maybe some Lord of Arcana on the side.

Trust me, any game that gets as much praise as Golden Sun gets is bound to be easy. The entire game even the "hard" optional bosses in the Golden Sun games are painfully easy. The end bosses of each game CAN be a challenge if you don't abuse your djinn abilities but if you use granite/flash (I think those were the two broken ones) every single thing in the game kneels before you.

Finished Medal of Honor... definitely a rent if you are into FPS as there are a few epic moments in the game. A downside is that it is kinda short, I took like 6 hours to finish the solo campaign on normal and I'm not like super awesome at FPS. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet but I have heard it is a combo of Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 while leaning more at the BBC2 (is that the right abbreviation? lol) aspect.

I wish I could be playing GEB, but just gonna wait till english release so I can play it some friends. So tempted to play JP version anyway, though.

Oath in Felghana is soooooo good. I need to finish it someday, I left off at the castle level last time I played because it was kicking my ass.

playing Golden Sun and New Vegas in about equal parts. almost abandoned Golden Sun before I remembered that it gets a lot better after the ridiculously long introduction.

Which Etrian Odyssey? they're pretty good time-wasters, you could spend hours in the labyrinth and not realize it.

Plodding through DMC2. So far not liking it as much as the first.

No one does, but hey... you're got the best in the series coming up next. Something to look forward to.

just plunked 100 hours into Fallout New Vegas, been tinkering with a little minecraft since the update but I think I'm getting bored with it for now (and I don't feel like the update added that much), also wrapped up the latest Alan Wake DLC. Also recently finished Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which was great but I definitely need to go back and finish the collectibles/trophies.

Spending so long playing Fallout means I have a LOT of shit piled up, anyone want to help me decide what to play next? Choices are:
-Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare
-Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den
-Dead Space Ignition
-Nier
-Fable 3
-Dead Rising 2
-Gyromancer

I'm thinking I'll zip through RDR Undead Nightmare first but I'm really not sure what to play after that.

Wasted last weekend playing RDR and taking advantage of the double-XP weekend. Went from level 21 to 44, fucking sick and tired of the game for some time now. Will get back to trophy-whoring that some other time.

Been playing MAG and Red Faction 1 otherwise. Also some Minecraft on the side.

DMC2's story as a whole was a train wreck. Only reason to play it was for the gameplay. ;/

Granted, the story was bad enough to put me off from completing that female's disc though.

Bayonetta is so fun, the ranking system is brilliant. Evading & finishing the fight unscratched has never felt so rewarding before. The difficulty is just right for me too.

Same case for me. Luckily I only borrowed DMC2 from a friend (lent him Ratchet & Clank), so I didn't have to worry about burning it in a fire when I was done with it.


Anyways, got a question, how were Ridge Racer 7 & Armored Core: For Answer for PS3? I seen a few copies of both for $19 in my Walmart bargain bin, never played anything from either series, wouldn't mind some input.
(both lack trophies unfortunately so they'd have to be damn good for me to consider)

Ridge Racer 7 works with my G27 is the only reason I'm considering it even if it's an arcade racer, and Armored Core has mechs, so that right there peaks my attention.

[EDIT] I just realized with my recent cheap game grabs and the cash I spent on DLC the past week I could have bought Borderlands:GOTY, damnit!

I didn't find DMC2 to be "burn in a fire" bad, I still had fun with it... though, mainly I played with Lucia when I played and NOT Dante. Maybe that makes a difference? Worst in the series? Yeah definitely, but not THAT damn bad.
