Realizing my PSP died on me I went back to a few DS titles. Ever since I changed my router to WEP encryption to get my DS online I downloaded a few Picross DS puzzles, however can't stand doing more than one or two a day.

Might go a little old school and give Trauma Center a shot to see if I still have it. Or if Savato/Seventh Sinner/X7 will beat my ass.

Picked up the Mercury 2-in-1 pack for my PSP for $9 thinking it'd run on my PSP fine since they were older games, but nope. It was a repackage under the "PSP Favorites" line of games, and it demands firmware 3.31 to be installed. I'm holding out for that HEN next month since I like having access to emulation on my PSP, so hopefully the author of that adds in an update-blocker as well so I can play this.

Also grabbed Armored Core for Answer (PS3). Holy fuck that game is a trainwreck. Bland menus, horrendous framerate for what a simple game it is visually, and a lot of stages scream PS2 graphics. Controls are a little sluggish but I can deal with that. Probably will put a couple more hours into it, hoping I'll get into the "so bad its good" mindset.

I've not seen such paper-looking explosion effects in years.

Am I missing something here? Firmware up to 5.03 is already hackable with chickHEN, anything above that is still hackable with a pandora+mms if you have a 1000 or older 2000 without the new motherboard.

PSP-3000 here, came with 5.51 pre-installed, so I was out of luck regarding any existing cfw/hen methods. There's a new hen coming out for fw6.20 though that makes use of a kernal exploit via HBL.

Would be easier if pandora did just work since I have a softmodded battery sitting here from my old dead PSP-1000. ;/

At any rate, I've been playing some more Skate 3, and I'm a bit disappointed how fucking easy it is compared to Skate 2, even for Killing the challenges. I guess a lot of that probably has to do with me being experienced after a good 30 hours of playing Skate 2, but overall the objectives just seem less asinine.

Tried to give L4D2 another go for Verses mode, however found out there's no such thing as a game with decent people. I take back nearly everything I said about the Xi endgame community.

So just said screw it and went back to Titan Quest. Starting to get a bit dull, however I'm in Egypt now. Fighting that boss scarab was a bit of a challenge.

Game holds up well in 720p aside from the ugly ground texture here and there, makes me yearn for a Sly sequel akin to looking as badass as naruto ultimate ninja storm 2. There were a shitload of 3d cartoon/cellshaded games last gen, where the fuck are they all this gen?

Anyways, enjoying Sly 1, was the only one of the three I never played before, nice seeing that it holds its own, although Sly's face looks fucked up in the talk-scenes, but I'm used to his Sly 2/3 model which is a large improvement. Shame the devs who ported it didn't put in the extra effort in hiring a voice actress for Camelita so she's consistent across the three games.

I only played the 3rd one, and I never did finish it either. If the collection had Trophy support I'd probably pick it up.

Edit: What an asshole, friend told me it didn't but he just said it does now .-. Trophies for all 3? Nice. Another game to add on my list

Three platinums, and the games just shit the trophies out, got a gold within the first hour of play. >.>

Basically just need to 100% the games and you're gold......then do the trophies for the added PS Move minigames. I don't know what the fuck Sony was thinking allowing one bluray to have as many fucking trophies as it does. God of War Collection was pushing it already as is. As nice as a bonus it is, it disrupts the balance of trophy whoring. Just seems like an easy way to entice people to buy it who base their purchases fully on the trophy-difficulty.


But yeah, the only game of the three I beat was Sly 2, and for some reason I only own Sly 3 itself (got used for cheap during a local rental store closing up), but never beaten it.

Getting Plat for all 3 looks pretty easy... Reason I like Achievements/Trophies is because it give more reason to play the game a bit longer than I normally would and more reason to 100% some games.

My hardest Plat and always will be is WKC. I think I spent a 700-800ish hours getting Plat for that, lol. Although, I could have got it much sooner around 600 hour mark.

Time to try and bribe someone into buying this for me since I has no money at all

so I just started a new game. supposed to be one of the best games ever for the PC and I've been meaning to play it for a while.

at first, I wake up in a morgue and a talking skull floats over and I think "ha, that's sorta funny."

but it wasn't until I escaped the morgue, and the floating talking skull starts telling me, in complete seriousness, that he could tell this fine female zombie wants him because of the way "her gaze followed the curve of my occipital lobe" that I realized this is, indeed, fucking awesome.

I just about died laughing and we're less than five minutes in. I think I'm going to like this.
