Football Manager 2010.
Got back into Trauma Team, and the Specialist mode is somewhat difficult. I only did 3 ranked missions so far (2 Endoscopy and 1 Orthopedics) and they are fairly annoying. Vital drop rate in Endoscopy is pretty high and they weren't kidding about a small guidelines in Orthopedics.
Also it's pretty fun/interesting to play the game in chronological order. Instead of just finishing one character after another.
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX - great game, must buy
Chaos Rings on the Iphone. Pretty fun so far, feels like a PS1 era rpg.
14 hours, 20 minutes in, and I'm finally done all of the Skate 3 trophies I can get solo, which basically involved 100%'ing the single-player challenges + rating/uploading shit. Online community is either dead, or way too fucking spread out thanks to the game's setup. Probably just going to find people to boost the final 7 trophies for my platinum.
Was a bit disappointed with the game overall. City didn't feel as cohesive as the one from Skate 2, nor were there as many spectacles/playgrounds to muck about in. Story was even more disjointed and useless than Skate 2's. Why have the game have a focus on running a team, when your teammates are stupid (I've had to restart some rounds because they were slacking too far behind even though I was doing a perfect run), and barely have anything to do in the game itself?
Anyways, saving grace has to be the skate park editor by far. Shit reminds me of my older THPS days, where you create insane parks with lots of ramps, quarterpipes, and massive jumps, and have at it.
As with Skate2, most memorable moments were the ones where the unexpected occurs. Thankfully there's the built-in video recorder to capture them: http://skate.ea.com/user/gallery?per...#itemId=911612
(I'd have it on YouTube but EA wants to charge me for that feature for some fucked up reason)
Just need to finish up Sly 2 and then marathon Sly 3 before GT5 is out. >.>
god damnit I am fucking everything up in Torment. the latest mess: I didn't check some guy's body for the hammer that's part of his loot and now he's locked inside a house I can't get into so I have to roam the entire Hive trying to find a hammer so some magic housing settlement can perform what basically amounts to a large-scale version of mitosis except the only way back into the Hive is through a room full of vicious thugs that attack on sight.
this is after already losing an hour of progress because I didn't realize suiciding myself out of the Dead Nation wouldn't work, since Hargrimm will still aggro you even though he has clearly already killed you once. luckily I had an old save because I suspected that might happen, but this time I'm not sure what my options are... I'll figure something out, but it'll likely involve many, many more suicide attempts. it's damn lucky this guy can't die because that's pretty much my battle plan any time I get stuck: kill the main character and resurrect. I've killed entire legions of wererats by throwing the Nameless One's body at them until I finally wear them down.
still love the game though.
You playing vanilla or Special Edition? Special gives you some means of making the game a little easier, such as yellow orbs reviving you on the spot, rather than at the last checkpoint.
Game still fucking hard regardless, I never got around to beating it. Loved me some Trickster style.
I am a bit saddened by the fun I am NOT having with games at the moment. Guess it is just a slump? Was playing FIFA and PES 11 for a bit, but lately nothing is holding my interest. Tried to get into both Fallout NV and Fable III and just couldn't do it. COD:BO is about all I I have played since last week.
Trying out the English Patched version of Shiren for PSP though, maybe that will hold me over until... i don't even know. Goldeneye is coming from Gamefly, and since my roommate also has it that will be fun for Multiplayer for a bit I imagine.
my name is yuri-g and as the series' official cheerleader, I approve of your decision to play Shiren. may it bring you many hours of happiness and may your +41 katana never fall prey to a riceball trap.
Ahaha, I actually thought of you the minute i saw the translated game. Have you played the PSP version? I wasn't sure which ones you had or hadn't played Cheerleaderface.
I don't own a PSP
I've played:
SNES version (my favorite, but I've always loved Gideon Zhi's translation style)
DS version
SNES Torneko game
PSX Torneko game
Wii Chocobo's Dungeon game
and uhhh I think that's it. I'm definitely missing a few, but I go in spurts - you can only take so much roguelike at a time.
Playing Rune Factory 3 right now... First one I've ever played, but I needed a (good) RPG and my girlfriend swears by the series. Actually quite surprised at how hooked I am, especially since the thought of farming seemed kinda... dumb at first. But now that's all I do besides making things in my forge/ pharmarcy xD
I forgot how much of a pain some of these Dimension-X stages are Disgaea 3... LoC unlocked, but still need to do 80% of Dimension-X maps, but I might just say fuck it, 'cause I need more Tickets. Feels good to be able to one shot LoC HoO4 first time entering! Evilities ftw I guess >.> Now to search for this R39 shit, I don't even remember name of R39 fist, lol... I need to farm a shitload of specialists as well, I don't even have Gladiators yet, was rushing to unlock LoC first.
I had zero problems with the X stages, but then again I had two lvl8k members just raping through, even though I have weak-ass gear. Just a shame that LoC is notoriously more difficulty. -.-
It's not difficult, just some of the BS stages that may cause you having to quit and retry. Thankfully I remembered what to do for most, some of them I forgot and had to quit and retry. And yeah, LoC in Disgaea 3 is a lot harder than it was in D2. I don't remember Disgaea 1 having LoC. I'm surprised I'm able to one shot LoC HoO4 already, but I have +7 Big Bang on Mao with Sapphire standing next to him. With +8 Big Bang I don't think I'll need Sapphire. Not looking forward to Reverse Pirating, but gonna try a luck run real quick and see if I can get some chests on my ship without getting raped.
The original is just cruel. In Special Edition if you game over and retry you start right outside the boss room in this instance. But the original will just shit on your chest whenever you die. If it makes you feel any better DMC3 is one of my favourite games of all time and Cerberus can still whoop me if I haven't played for a while. I'm not sure why but I just find him to be the hardest motherfucker in that game. Yet tons of people struggle with mission 5's boss and I beat that without issue my first time through.
