i didn't get very far in DMC3, but i remember the cerberus very well and on about the 10th death i was like wut, how.. WHYYYYYYYY then i got used to the fighting style of the game and learned how to beat him with trial and error, god how i used to suck at games before i played harder games like DMC lol and now im pretty good at most games, i can figure most shit out on my own, and rpgs taught me different ways to always try something different if i fail.

Got my Skate 3 platinum, whoo. Makes for a grand total of 19 of 'em so far, and will be 21 when I'm done with the Sly Collection, which I need to get back to since I wasted a lot of today replaying Banjo Kazooie. ;/

I have to say, I forgot how dreary some of the locations are in Banjo Kazooie, hard for me to get in the mood to plow through them to get to the other levels later on that I loved so much. Not sure if I plan to 100% the game, but at the rate I'm going I may as well. Been OCD'ing every level as I pass by. ;/

Gets fucking annoying on the emulator though (bite me, too lazy to hook up the N64) because of the low draw-distance for objects, which is suitable for 320x240, but not 1600x1200. Makes note-hunting a bit of a mind game as I have to get closer to ledges and stuff to ensure there's nothing there.

After unlocking all classes and unlocking all classes/monsters tiers to 6, I decided to reincarnate Mao a bit more since I was close to 186k stored levels after unlocking all that shit. After that, I decided to Reverse Pirate again to try my luck and holy shit I had some really good luck, I ended up getting Legendary Yoshitsuna, Arcadia, Ultimus, and Barefoot X x2 all within 15min of Reverse Pirating. 6th Tier Theif Evility is so fucking nice for finding Rank 39 Equipment.

Got all the TF2 unlocks in Poker Night last night. Game isn't as bad as I thought. Only complaints I got are the lack of more types of poker and Strongbad.

Same here. Game is pretty baller. Combat is sorta like FF12 but much more involved when B triggers come into effect.

God of War for PS3 is pretty glitchy. I've had to restart from a checkpoint about 5 times now because either enemies stopped spawning (but the red blocking wall things were still up), or cause I got stuck in scenery or went through it. I don't remember if it was like that for the original release. Just 2 more trophies for that, then on to GoW2.

I still need the Team Practice trophy for platinum. Friend and I bought the game and played the whole thing through together, but since we never really got into the online team stuff we haven't been able to find anyone to get it with. It's currently the bane of my Skate3 existence.

OT: Fallout New Vegas, Black Ops, and NFS: Hot Pursuit. Loving all three right now, especially NFS. It's been a long time since I played the Hot Pursuit games and they feel just as good as ever.

@DMC3; Yeah, Cerberus is a fucking bitch. Especially on DMD. That guy can kill you in like 3 hits if you mess up. I think I beat Agni and Rudra(took a shit load of tries) on DMD and said fuck it then went back to finish Very Hard, which is much easier after experiencing DMD lol.

I've been playing a lot of Samurai Warriors lately. My friend loves the 1st one, so me and her played that again and went through everything. Now we're playing Samurai Warriors 3 for the first time and we're about half-way through that. It's actually been really fun, but then again, it's been like 4-5 years since I've touched a Musou game. One thing I fucking love about SW3 is how many soldiers can fit on-screen and not disappear. I hated that sooo much in the 1st one. I'm glad they gave each player their own Musou bar too.

Other than that, I've been playing KH:BbS(done with Terra on CM. Half-way through Ventus) and Bayonetta(Chapter 7, I think) when I get the chance. Both are very awesome games so far.

A long time ago I started playing DMC on the mode that you die in a single hit and you're only allowed to hold 3 Yellow Orbs. I got to Beowulf(was that his name?) before I got stuck and took a break from it. Never did pick it back up.

edit: I have never done anything that was ever not as fun as the God of War 1 challenges. they are all unfun and not as much as a challenge as what retarded combo you can spam for 5minutes and I'm on the very last one so I cant quit now because you can't even save.

ok, so seriously, how the fuck is anyone supposed to beat this challenge except for sheer sheer sheer luck? I'm about to give up on this even though beating this single challenge is the only thing I need for a platinum. I checked faqs for it and youtube vids and they all say to do the exact same thing I'm doing. the only thing I can see different from the videos and what's happening to me, is that the Satyrs are not blocking 90% of their attacks.

You're getting your shit mixed up. DMC3 has Heaven or Hell, everything dies in 1 hit. DMC4 has Heaven or Hell and Hell or Hell, where you die in one hit but enemies have standard (Son of Sparda difficulty) health and placement. Hell or Hell didn't exist in DMC3. Hell or Hell honestly wasn't even that hard, by the time you get around to it it should be just as if not easier than Dante Must Die mode.

So, all my experiences leave me with 1 of 5 outcomes.

I get a real great start. Knock like 5 Satyr's off right in a row with no problem. then they get a real lucky attack in and knock me off the ledge.

They block everything from the start and pretty quickly shove me off the edge.

I do a real steady job. I'm moving slow, but stuff is getting done and I'm almost to the top, but then I die because I have no more health.

I suicide because a Satyr hits me off the circle, but I grab on to the ledge, except almost all my progress is undone because if you move outside the confines of the circle, the column lowers itself back down to the starting position.

I get knocked off the ledge, I grab hold of the ledge and am hanging there when I get the "You Are Dead" message for some reason.


So I'm just going to try again later then, except this time I'll save my Rage of the Gods. Assuming the reason you had it and I didn't is that I used mine during the Medusa challenge and hadn't stored it up again.
