I almost finished Enslaved in one sitting also lol It definitely knew how to draw the player in.

yeah I'd definitely rank it up there with Alan Wake in terms of games that may not have a lot of replay value, but are superbly paced so it almost doesn't matter. I'd really like to find someone on here who's played the DLC, I'm leaning towards buying it but I want to get some input![]()
Since the CPU heatsink/fan for my new PC is faulty I can't play XIV until the replacement comes (Estimating between the 10th-15th of December) I've been playing around on SMB Wii. Forgot how addicting this game was, but not as fun unless you have someone else playing with you that knows what they're doing (AKA: Doesn't try to kill you).
I've picked up a few games on Steam during the sale last week. The Indy puzzle pack (Cogs, Droplitz, Puzzle Dimension, Shatter, and Tidalis) are so and so, nothing that really grabbed me yet, however for 5 bucks I can't complain. Beat Hazard is pretty interesting to, but it screams migraine on faster songs. Bit.Trip Beat is pretty neat to, but only 3 levels.
EDIT: Tried the demo for Ghost Trick. Looks pretty fun, here's the URL to the demo if you want to give it a shot: <<link removed due to copyright problems>>
Has anyone here done the Uber Challenge on Legend of Zelda: OoT? I recently did it and it actually made OoT fun to play again since I've never done a lot of the glitches that are needed.
Here are the rules and the route you have to take:
Spoiler: show
And here's the link to the guide if you're interested in doing it.
Was playing this earlier since I was bored and forgot I downloaded it long time ago.
Playing too much shit lately:
MAG - Trying to hit 70 again on my main character. Currently loving the shit out of shotgun, which I never touched before I veteran'd (aka prestiged).
Super Meat Boy - Finally got a proper play in now that the damn thing is playable for me after today's patch. Loving the game, plan to 100% it. Difficulty overall feels exaggerated, but perhaps I'm just not far enough in yet. (already nearly done with chapter 4, and been doing all the dark-world variants while I'm at it)
Sly Collection - 100%'d Sly 2 last week, currently working on Sly 3. Game looks fantastic on 720p with the cleaned up textures, Sly 4 will look kickass with a good poly boost and non-canned talk poses/animations.
GT5 - Collecting cars, duh.
I also nabbed me PS+ for a year (+3 bonus months) since Sony has finally caught up and got a lot of the stuff I already own done with. Currently playing Shatter for the trophies (even though I already beat it on my Steam copy), then off to wait for Sam & Max Season 3/LBP-Prehistoric to be free for PS+ users in a couple weeks. I'm going to tally up every discount I make use of with the system to see if I break even on the stuff I actually do get to keep after the subscription is over.
Speaking of which, I'm taking it only the themes, avatars, and purchased discounted items aren't locked to the subscription? I'm assuming only the 'free' games, 'free' DLC, and 'free' minis games are attached to it since they're the only items on the store that pops up the info message.
On a side note, how is Crash Bandicoot 2? $3 for PS+, and I could use me a 3d platformer. Not played any of the Crash games, ever, no idea what to expect.
The game has 2 modes: Novel and Escape. In Novel mode, you're basically watching the characters interact and you can sometimes make choices that I guess influence what directions the characters take since the game has multiple endings. In escape mode, you interact with the environment to solve puzzles.
It started out slow since the game is stuck in novel mode for a pretty long time after the first puzzle, but overall the game is pretty fun.
That ubermode zelda playthrough is pretty nuts. I had no idea you could sequence break that much in OOT.
Aside from playing the thought "How & Why did Final Fantasy become a flail" in my head, Counter-Strike 1.6.
Been playing Dead Nation coop offline. It's pretty good except for the fact that upgrading weapons in coop is too easy.
Also trying every now and then to play Sports Champs. The Gold Level boss in table tennis is a monster. Best I've gotten against him is 9::11.
Anyone still play Monter Hunter Tri? I just started playing it again for the hell of it.
I'm surprised at the amount of people still playing it because I expected it to be dead. Only problem is getting people for the damn 4 start urgent.
I overdid it and bought 4 new games on BF...... Now I have FF13, Red Dead, Uncharted 1 & 2, Castlevania LoS, WWE 2011, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Borderlands all sitting on my shelf untouched. No idea what I want to play.....
Uncharted 1. Get the oldest of the bunch out of the way. Game still looks and plays great even today, nor is it stupidly long like the majority of games on your list there.
As for me, I'm still plugging away at the Sly Collection. Halfway done Sly 3. Having the same feelings as I did when I played it back on PS2, where it felt a bit derivative and didn't try to differentiate itself much from Sly 2, and relied a little too much on minigame-missions.
I've also been playing Super Meat Boy and somehow amassed 12.5 hours of playtime on it even though it doesn't feel like I've spent nearly that amount on it. Definitely got my money's worth for the $10 I paid for it at any rate.
Also been working on 999 for the DS. Thoroughly enjoying it, currently on my third playthrough. The game is 'short' in the sense that a playthrough lasts 3-5 hours, but the point of the game from my perspective isn't beating it, but taking every path possible (it keeps track of which routes you took when you do NewGame+ as well as which completed endings you got) and learning the full backstory of all the characters and figure out what exactly is going on in the game as it doesn't tell you straight on, you have to piece it together from the other endings.
Been playing Tales of Graces F at friend's house, had to get used to CC system again and other few things that's pretty new to me. I'll probably just import my own copy later on this month when I get the chance.
Took a break from Disgaea 3 after spending 3-4 days looking for Baal Pirates, just need one more Trophy now, 10bil damage man, but gonna try to get it without loading my old file, reverse healing, or Hero Prinny. I can already do 5bil~ Damage with Fist, and that's without capped atk or spd, but it's in 60 millions, though.
Gonna pick up Bayonetta again tomorrow or tues, but for PS3 and just get Plat for it again, and do few other things I didn't do in X360 version. I might end up getting 3D Dot Game Heroes instead.
if you don't play rune factory frontier we are no longer soulmates
Haha, I keep forgetting to play that and finish ARFI completely forget about Wii games easily since I barely touch mine

what did I do![]()
Speaking of Rune Factory games... how's Rune Factory 3? Also... I've never played ANY of the RF games and I'm assuming I don't need to play any to get it (since Harvest Moon didn't have any continuity), would this be correct?
the characters in RF: Frontier (which I like a LOT better than the handheld ones, btw) are the same as the characters in RF1 but the stories are completely unrelated. Other than that they're all mostly unrelated with some minor references, but you don't need to play any previous ones to understand them, so if you want to skip RF1 to play a version with more gameplay improvements you won't miss out.
I highly recommend the Wii version though, it is pretty fucking amazing, but managing your runeys is really tedious. From what I've heard RF3 is a lot better than RF1 and RF2 so I will probably be playing that pretty soon myself. I'd say go with RF3 and if you really like it go back for RFF.
