I'm maybe... 8 hours or so in to it and my only real complaint with it so far is just how retarded some of the quests are. It's a lot of MMO or fetch quest bullshit. I was trying to keep up with all the sidequests but I got sick of it and just started progressing the plot again. From what I understand you don't need to do them all for any of the 4 endings, so it's kind of an ignorable aspect, since they all just seem to give money or a weapon as the reward and nothing important unless you want the achievement.

The puzzles I did in the last dungeon were kind of retarded too, they took a decent idea/concept and executed it so poorly you could just ignore the puzzle itself and get past it no problem.

Late I know, but you can say this about Most 9.0+reviewed games.
Also sometimes it is the opposite of what you said. Sometimes they play a game-type so much that each new iteration gets 100% reviews even though its more of what they already play.(also advertising)

Just got my Plat for Uncharted 1. Not really sure what I want to jump into next, I just know I want to do maybe 1-2 more games before I start UC2 so I can have some variety. Any advice? I currently have on my shelf: AC Brotherhood, Borderlands GOTY, Castlevania LOS, FF13, Red Dead, and WWE 2011.

Just finished Master Ninja Mode on Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, wasn't that bad, just OHKO grabs are fucking retarded. Gonna try to get a couple more 1k kills with certain weapons and the 3 girls within the next 2 days before I move on to whatever 2 games I pick up Saturday

Been playing a lot of the Mercury games on my PSP now that I'm able to spoof firmware version with the HEN. Bought the UMD awhile ago for $9, but little did I know it was a repackaged bundle that took the two games, put them both on the one UMD, and slapped a firmware 6.31 requirement on them. ;/

Enjoyable game, quite like the setup, although it's fucking hard as hell. First couple worlds could have been a little more friendly with regards to having walls everywhere to guide your movement.


Also been playing a lot of NSMB Wii & SMG2 on the 13" screen. Wii looks great at that size fortunately. Already at the final boss stage in NSMB, just have yet to beat it, and I hope I get the sparkly star thing from it as I don't recall ever seeing the super guide block prior. Speaking of which, do you lose the sparkle if you get the super guide after having beaten the game? SMG2 been a breeze so far, kinda ignored it at release, and I'm currently working through world 3. Nothing has yet to really pose a challenge so far, even with the prankster comets, so I hope that changes further in. What really bugs me are the levels with the dudes who ask for X amount of coins to transform, which I assume leads to a hidden star for the area. Would be easier if I could just use the coins from my stash rather than what I got on hand for the given level.



On another subject, is Tony Hawk Ride worth bothering with? I know the game is 'bad', but I can get the thing for $20, was wondering if I'd be able to derive any fun from it with that price-point in mind.



[EDIT] I'm also trying to get back into the groove with RDR. For some reason with sandbox games like this, I'll play them nonstop for a couple days, ignore it for a month, come back for a week, play it non-stop again, repeat. Mainly want to get Undead Nightmare beaten as I paid for the retail copy of that. Got the trophy for doing 15 undead waves online today, which coincidentally the game crashed mere moments after the trophy dinged.

Any tips for the single-player? I want to 100% the thing, nab all horses, etc. Also not sure if I can just ignore towns being overrun with zombies or not until after I beat the story. Love the setting, especially the mission cutscenes.

Been playing Half Life on and off. Game is fun but a lot harder than I was expecting.

Seem to be back in the groove of playing RDR. Game takes awhile to latch onto me, and then I can't let it go for awhile. I finally went about and explored some of the online DLC that was part of my Undead Nightmare disc. Some cool modes, especially the poker/liar's dice. Unfortunately barely anyone seems to play anything outside of free roam, so I'll probably have to end up boosting a lot of the DLC-mode trophies. Quite enjoy playing as Red again, although he looks a bit older in his RDR form than I remember him in Revolver, but it could just be the more realistic style.

Visited my EB Games to check on my LBP2 pre-order, which I'm glad I did as the store didn't have the SKU for the collector's edition when I first placed the order last week for some reason. Chick said she'd transfer it over from the normal copy to collector's when the SKU was added, apparently she didn't. Not sure how they didn't have one already though given the game was supposed to be out in November and that the collector's edition has been announced for months now. Can't fucking wait for the game to come in, the user-created levels are going to be quite the something this time around.

Also nabbed Tony Hawk Ride for $19 while I was at the EB Games against my better judgment. I just *had* to have it for some reason, and it's been sitting on my bed unopened for 10 hours now.

[EDIT] RIDE is impossible to play in my room. My floor is slightly slanted (very old house), which makes it that I can't ollie farback enough for the game to register it as such (any further and I lose balance) and instead I end up going into a manual 75% of the time. ;/

First impression is that the game isn't half-bad when price wasn't a problem, although it has that Wii-like motion sensing issue where you have to do motions exactly as the game expects them for them to pull off. I just need to do something about the floor around my entertainment area, which I've been wanting to do for awhile now anyways as my chair has a tendency to roll back against the wall every now and then.
