Eh, not being able to transfer spells is the only thing that kept the classes unique since you could transfer abilities and if you mastered a weapon type you could use it on any class.
Well, I guess the stats on each class too but that's not really as much of a difference as the unique spells.

The class system was the single thing in the game I thought they got right.

So... Tales of Legendia does run on pcsx2 in software mode, but it gets laggy at some points (especially the game's opening scene... holy hell, that part was bad).
It's bearable so I think I'll go with this.

Debating between DMC4, AC2 and FFIVds. I'm close to beating ffiv but I keep getting raped by a surprise encounter in the last area where 2 blue dragons basically insta wipe my party. They are guarding a piece of Crystal armor for Cecil.

Been playing alot of Tetris on PSN lately, with WKC and Sigma 2 on side still. Managed to get rank 21 on leaderboards in US for Split level 15 in Challenge Mode, I know for a fact I can do much better, but that shit is so crazy. I just need to practice alot more in Tetris since it's been fucking ages since I last played it, but still somehow managed to do that level 15 shit in Split... Sucks I have to wait 1-2 weeks before I can pick up LBP2 and DCUO, gonna be bored as fuck not being able to play them

Finished with the Half-Life addons. Opposing Force wasn't too bad although the new aliens were cheap. Game messed up my screen sometimes forcing a reboot, not sure if it's a crappy download or a conflict between the game and my card.

Blue Shift was fairly disappointing, although it was nice not having to face off against female assassins for a change.

Thinking about trading in Fallout New Vegas and Pokemon Platinum. Platinum I didn't care for at all and thought I had sold it until I randomly found it while cleaning my room. And after I beat New Vegas I don't see myself replaying it at all. I think I'm going to pick up Army of Two: The 40th Day even though I didn't play the first one but after seeing some of SSoHPKC's play through, I kinda sorta really want to play it.

    Should I play the first one (I don't care about story really) or jump right into the 2nd? Or avoid it altogether? >_>;

I still play Gears of War 1, other than that just black ops and RB3.

Well I finally finished Morrowind completely yesterday, fuck that was amazing. Only took me about 4 weeks of playing non-stop to get like 99% completion lol

Now I'm playing Risen because I somehow (after 200+ hours of Morrowind) have a WRPG itch, which is better than I expected but the combat is way too difficult when you're first starting out.

Mass Effect 2 for PS3 has been sent via Gamefly huzzah! I wasn't even suspecting it as I wasn't trying to get it, just had a list of "coming soon" games lol
Great timing too considering the game I sent back prior was Dragon Age. And so hopefully by the time I'm done with Mass Effect2, it'll be time for Dragon Age 2.

Got platinums on Uncharted and the Genesis Collection over the weekend.

Working on God of War right now since I never finished it on the PS2.

Playing Professor Layton and the Unwound Future on the DS.

finished Risen, which wasn't too bad but the combat was pretty horrible, and overly difficult at the start of the game. Once you get magic and arrows it's a lot better. Overall I enjoyed the game, on the WRPG scale I'd rate it lower than Divinity 2 (which is great, btw, and you should play it) and of course WAY lower than Oblivion/Morrowind.

Now I'm moving on to The Witcher, finally. So excited to finally play this game. Has anyone ever played it? On a scale from Zero to Awesome, how would you rate it?

Everything but the combat is badass. Combat is... well, it's pretty lame honestly but such is life in pretty much every WRPG ever.

I need to stop compulsively buying games when I see them for cheaper.

Nabbed Modnation Racers for $19 when I was looking about in Wally today while my parents did their usual shopping business. Game was a train-wreck of load times and bad handling during beta, but it seems they helped the loading somewhat since then with retail patches, and added sensitivity options to the handling, so hopefully I'll come to liken it. Not pleased about the mandatory 3.2gb install (80gb HD isn't enough for 85 PS3 games -.-), but I managed to squeeze enough free to play it for a bit. Tempted to buy the Sly Cooper skin for the game though as I'm feeling lazy about creating my own character.

Also found a battered copy of GTR Evolution on the PC section marked down from $15 to $1, so I grabbed that also. Read good reviews on it quite some time ago, and I knew ahead of time that the serial key the game uses can be applied to Steam, so if the disc was wrecked from the bad case handling I'd at least not have to worry about a broken DVD. I didn't realize the game was an expansion to RACE '07 until after the effect when Steam gave me a copy of it free when I authorized my GTR Evo key. <3 Steam. Not been in the racing mood for simulation lately (barely touched GT5 since I got it), but it was a buck, and it's there for when I feel the need to bust out the G27.

Odd thing about GTR's case was that it's your typical fat-DVD plastic case with a carboard sleeve over it, but the case had no DVD-sleeve insert. Case was never opened prior at any rate (it only had two layers of fucking plastic + security stickers on it), wonder if it was intentional to save on production. ;/

I really should stop babbling on this thread and just play some games.

[EDIT] Well, after a gig of updates which only seemed to pad the game data install by 300mb, Modnation Racers seems a lot more promising then the beta did, and also after 7 patches. First race handled like a dream.

[EDIT2] Boo, game disallows you to use DLC characters/karts as a base to work your own creations off of. They could at least have disabled sharing of racers/karts that use DLC content if they're afraid of people getting the stuff for free. ;/

[EDIT3] Christ almighty Modnation Racers is fun. Only thing that'd make it kick the pants off Mario Kart is if it had a battle arena mode. Otherwise I prefer it to Mario Kart for general gameplay, and actually being able to defend yourself from the fucking 'kill guy in first place' weapon.

ok so The Witcher is fucking awesome. The story is great and the game world is really interesting, almost makes me want to read the books. I actually like the combat a lot, it seems a lot more involved and less mindless than other games in the genre. The only thing I don't like is the way it handles weapon drops from enemies and the somewhat limited inventory space, but overall so far this is one of the best action RPGs I've played in a long time.

Anyone play any of these games and want to suggest which I should play next?: Gothic 3 (I wouldn't mind going back to Gothic 1/2 if the stories are related), Venetica, Divine Divinity/Beyond Divinity, Drakensang. I guess I should probably try to play through Torchlight finally, too.

edit: also do I need to play the Vampire - The Masquerade games?

Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines for sure. Just make sure to get the community-made patch because the game is really buggy. It's really an awesome game. Redemption is hmmm... overtalked I guess? Didn't play it in ages, but I remember it being so-so and just having too much dialogues X.x

So finally picked up Demon's Souls... and starting off the game it is quite confusing. I feel like I am just doing random tasks and no idea if they are right. I'm dead and not sure why I am (Soul form... whatever)... and I have magic but cant for the life of me figure out how to use it... I havn't felt this retarded playing a game since I was like 8... that being said, I have died a bit, but getting better, and hope it clears up cause I can definitely see its potential.

Demon's Souls was made to make people feel retarded I think. The topic we have here has a ton of info in it if you dig around in it for what you need. Otherwise I did a lot of reading on this wiki. Have fun! I need to actually finish a few worlds and get to New Game + because my Blacksmith guy glitched and disappeared so I cannot create any new Soul Upgrades =(

So I finished Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. Really one of the best put together stories I've seen in quite some time. When you get towards the end of the game, and everything starts to tie together (and when you think you've figured it all out... GUESS AGAIN!) it is brilliant. When I finished it, I was just in awe. Even though it's lolGameInformer, I don't know how anyone could rate this game a 6. If you remotely like Phoenix Wright, or any whodunit kinda stories, and own a DS, it's an awesome buy. Pretty long game too. Definitely has sequel potential. Need a Sissel + Phoenix Wright in MvC 3. Ghost Trick definitely has some workable elements to bring characters in. Not that it would ever happen, but still.
