Super Robot Taisen J, even though I don't know any of these fucking series except like one or two, I'm just pretending all of these idiots are just new characters that I don't know, and it's been working out alright. Tons of fun so far. :D

I also finally started playing Arc Rise Fantasia, was in Jada, about to help that old guy, and my game froze -___-

Maybe I need a new wii? GC games kept freezing, and now games from my HDD are freezing? wtf

I don't know why but I've been playing through Last Remnant. Getting a little burned out on Black Ops. Other than that I've been playing WoW here and there.

Playing through Amnesia slowly but surely, can't really play it for more than an hour without getting really uncomfortable lol. The story is fairly interesting though so can't give up on it.

Also Little Meat Boy, which reminds me of IWBTG in a good way.

Still haven't finished Bayonetta but I don't mind taking it slow, it's so much fun.

Kinda lost my interest on Heavy Rain but someday I'll get back to it.

Also playing some Valkyria Chronicles, I think I'll be able to clear it in a year+ at this speed >_>.

I think I'm playing too many games at once. The fact that this year is pretty awesome for my gaming tastes isn't helping either...

Got Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 the other day, been playing that non-stop. It was the only game I was really, really missing ever since my 360 broke. Kinda wish I had a chance to play Alan Wake before it happened, but w/e.

I thought the interactive comic taking place of ME1 was nicely done, though I hope there's an option to simply pick the choices and start the game. Playing multiple new playthroughs, it'd be nice not to have to watch it every time. But maybe you can avoid it anyway, I dunno.

2nd Super Robot Wars Z in April is going to be amazing

Too bad it's never gonna be localized, like every other non-OG Super Robot game, due to licensing -.-

Also, the main thing that I like about this series, is that it's kinda like watching a mecha anime with an epic story, and it really gives it that feeling, except that it's a game. Even with J where it's not just original characters, and I have no clue who the fuck 80% of these characters are, it's still pretty fucking epic. I just pretend like all of these characters that I should know are just new original characters <.<

Playing it in JP would make the game pointless, since I wouldn't understand the story, which is easily 75%+ of the game for me. ;( dunno what the chances of a PSP translation are, probably not that good.

Would definitely be awesome to see that translated with eureka 7, code geass, so much fucking gundam and goddamn gurren lagann in the cast I would cum buckets for ages. That's not even counting other kind of cool shit like king gainer, mazinkaizer, etc (though I'm sure those have been in past srw games as well)

Ohh, haven't seen this topic in awhile.

Rerolled a new character in Oblivion, Orc warrior. Also replaying Need for Speed: Shift. By far the best In-car view of any racing game I've ever played. 100% of the time outside of this game I race with the camera outside/above, but this is a great game to learn how to drive inside the cockpit.

Been playing Penumbra Overture, and intending to finish it this time around (after restarting about 3 times). Game doesn't seem too long as I'm at around the 2/3rds point after one sitting, but I've been enjoying it. Not even remotely as scary as reviews and people been saying it is, but I'm enjoying the puzzle aspects and the game's general presentation. It reminds me of Myst in some aspects, aside from the dogs that are only there to annoy you, which I end up just sprinting pass unharmed anyway.

Going to follow it up with Black Plague, and then Requiem. Hoping for more puzzle solving in general, I like the games interaction handling. Probably save Amnesia for next month when I get some of my gaming backlog reduced some.

Star Ocean 2. Claude Solo! Its not as hard as i expected. I guess getting the Battle Suit and Marvel Sword early on helped that i suppose.
I'm currently at Finale (final?) w/e with 2 of the 10 wise men left. I read that Indalecio will probably be the hardest fight cause he can cast while moving

Started playing Valkyria Chronicles. I'm liking it so far, although I'm a little obsessed with A ranking everything.

Anyways, I was wondering if anybody knows of a good PS2 modding guide/site? I mainly want to do it so that I can play the KH:FM's and 'Tales of' games that didn't make it here(i.e. Destiny DC and Destiny 2.)

I don't know of any good sites for it but I will say that when I wanted to mod my PS2, it took me maybe 30ish min of google searching to have everything down well enough to know everything I needed and everything I needed to do once I had it all.
It was a relatively simple process and I didn't even know exactly what to look for.

I used the 'independence exploit' by the way. Very, very simple process.

just finished this ghetto RPG I bought on steam called Numen: Contest of Heroes for $2.00. Kinda bad, but for 2 bucks it was pretty entertaining. Now I don't know what to play, need to finish Baldur's Gate on ps2, then I think I might fiiiiinally play the deus ex games.

Anyone care to weigh in on Penumbra and how it compares to Amnesia? I know Amnesia is supposed to be awesome, but should I try to run through Penumbra first?

Ugh, the Baldur's Gate game on PS2. I liked them enough at the time when they came out, but now I probably couldn't. For a couple reasons. It's about as generic as you can get, Bioware wasn't involved at all, and they really just used the BG name because it was an established franchise at that point. My friend and I used to play them a lot, but there weren't that many good games like that around when those came out. If you've never played the real BG series, I highly suggest playing those. The graphics are pretty archaic at this point, but you can get a high res mod so everything isn't all super pixelated at least. The story and gameplay is still top notch though. I wish Bioware did the long rumored BG III. I know they can't because Atari owns the rights to BG and WotC, but if they did some joint project it would be amazing.

I just picked up Tactics Ogre today and MvC3 yesterday. On the fence about some other stuff, but those should keep me occupied for a while. Til DA2 comes out anyway.

Still playing PSX games, and I'm not sure why I'm wasting time with them as I got full priced games here which I purchased within the last month (Dead Space 2, LBP2) that I've barely touched.

Picked up Crash Bandicoot 1 off PSN since it was $3 as I wanted to see how Naughty Dog began with their first title. And by george, it hasn't aged well at all. Flimsy imprecise controls, and attack button that may end you up down a pit/creek the odd time because you continue sliding during the attack, and being able to save only when you beat a bonus round or 100% a level without dying. Yeesh. I'm not going to bother 100%'ing it as the controls piss me off, but I'm going to at least finish the story. Will move onto Crash 2 after that, which at least was improved in nearly all aspects of my complaints above, along with some more variety in the controls besides 'jump and spin'. Still feels stiff though.

Nearly done with Spyro 1, game is a bloody cakewalk but enjoyable nonetheless I guess, even if it's very simple like the Crash series so far is. Disliking Sony for putting such a focus on Spyro lately as I own 1/2 from PS+, and apparently they're giving the third entry out next month. Gimmy some Capcom or SquareEnix goodies damnit!



On the side, had an itch the other day and busted out MDK 1 & 2 and played them on the PS3 for a bit. They haven't aged too well, although some of the ideas in MDK2 were pretty cool for the time, such as quad-wielding weapons on Max.
