    Would anyone recommend RE3?

Never played it before although I've beaten RE1 and played bits of RE2. 50% off on PSN atm so I figure I may pick it up like I did RE2 a couple weeks ago.

It's entertaining enough. If you enjoyed the first two I would say check it out if anything just to follow the story along.

I guess I will nab it. I've played all the main REs cept 3 at this point. Would just leave RE0 and Code Veronica.

In other news, I'm finally done with Just Cause 2 after 56 hours of playing it. Not sure what's next in my backlog of PS3 games...., been playing some Dead Nation though. Game is brutal. Might just take a break from PS3 games and work on PSX titles that I've been slowing building up from 50% discounts and PS+ freebies. Got all of Spyro and Crash to playthrough, RE2/3 now, and the Oddworlds.....although I may just wait for the remakes for that.

Just finished playing through Chrono Trigger for the fiirst time. I had attempted to play it before, but always lost interest during the faire at the start. Definitely a gem of a game and I'm sad I waited so long to play it.

That said, any suggestions of other SNES era RPGs that are worth looking at? I've not really played too many, with the exception of the FFs, Super Mario RPG, and now CT. Friends have suggested Seiken Densetsu 3, that's basically the only thing on my list right now.

Breath of Fire I and II (although there are newer, GBA versions if you want), Earthbound (otherwise known as Mother 2), Live a Live, Lufia 1 and 2, Romancing Saga 3(!!), Rudra no Hihou (really cool spell system), Terranigma, Star Ocean 1 and 2 (but only if you don't have PSP to play remakes), Tales of Phantasia.

Oh, that's cool. I heard people treat it as the best version (stay the fuck away from the GBA one).

Legend of Gaia was a fun SNES action/rpg as well as Secret of Mana.

Nah, they did until recently (well, actually the other PSP one was still 'better' than the PS1 version but not by much unlike this one). Tales of Phantasia X (on PSP, no translation avail though) is certainly the best version.

    Faster battles
No 'spell freeze' (aka you don't have to watch each spell animation individually)
    New dodge mechanic
    Certain artes link together better
    Slightly tweaked enemy AI
Reworked shortcut system (gives each character 1 shortcut rather than just 2 shortcut slots)
    More voiced scenes
    other misc changes

...oh, and a new character (but she goes in and out of the party throughout the game)

Switching between RIFT and Bad Company 2. Yesterday I felt brave and played some CS:S and Civ IV for old times sake... but I don't think it's settling well.

Oh man.. shouldn't have shown me this. Now I'll feel I've played an "incomplete" version . Hope they release a menu patch for that at least. I know there is also "Tales of Phantasia: Nakirki Dungeon" or something close to that. No patch yet either though.

Picked up Red Dead Redemption yesterday. Was gonna be that or God Eater Burst. I decided on Red Dead just because reviews did not seem to good for God Eater.

I am really liking the game so far. There is alot to do and I always feel like im gonna miss out on something lol. I picked up my first bounty thinking I could bring him in alive by just shooting him in the leg and turns out I needed a lasso in order for that to work. I think I restarted from my save 6 times before I had to look it up. After that I decided to wait to do it so I could get the lasso and the bounty disappeared. :/

Before I turned off yesterday I had fallen off a cliff looking for the 2nd treasure location -.- I'm pretty sure my horse died too lol. ; ; But really fun and addicting. I am glad I went with it over God Eater.

Narikiri Dungeon X is the definitive version. The original Narikiri Dungeon is on Gameboy Color and it's a turn-based RPG, totally different than what you'd expect from a Tales game. What's good about Narikiri Dungeon X is it comes packaged with the very game I posted a video of. 2 for the price of 1 if you can understand Japanese or don't mind slogging through the game with its moonrunes.

No wonder I didn't hear much of Phantasia X. So many good games. Trying to enjoy as many Tales of games before Graces and Vesperia (patch) come out on ps3 and consume my time.

There is also Tales of Innocence, good or bad would say?

    Finished off Dragon Age 2.

Just picked up MLB 11 The Show and rented Sims 3 and Homefront. So I think I'll play those a bit instead of jumping right back into DA2 again.

Just finished Enslaved: Odyssey to the West a few minutes ago. Pretty decent game. Very nice set pieces and art direction, likeable characters with great interactions, shitty force-fed platforming, overly simplistic combat. Not entirely sure how I feel about the ending just yet; it was a little bit deus ex machina-y while still being somewhat predictable, tries to do something new in the most cliche ways possible.

As said already Secret of Mana, Legend of Gaia, Breath of Fire, and Star Ocean are classics (Gokulo with a powerhouse of good RPGs lol). Some others not mentioned are RoboTrek, Secret of Evermore, Mystic Quest (in case you missed it on FF RPGs), and SoulBlazer.

What I'm playing atm: mostly Mass Effect 2 on Insanity as I kept putting it off lol, playing SNES emulators when I get sick of it.
