It's really really really easy.

Look for the topics about the psp on I think it was the tech forum, I recently(ish) helped a few people do it, it's incredibly fucking simple.

As long as you're not on like a psp go or the latest psp's ever, all you have to do is manually run an update (that you download) that puts you on like 6.something official firmware, and then you just run the CFW on top of it, it's that easy. No "need GTA or some special game to use an exploit" or anything like that.

I have so much shit to play on my PSP right now it isn't even funny, but after going through hell and high water to get FFIX onto my PSP last night (protip: if my PSP is connected to my PS3 and says "usb mode," MY FUCKING PS3 SHOULDN'T BE TELLING ME TO CONNECT MY PSP AND TRY AGAIN. if my PSP memory stick has 1.9 GB free and FFIX is 1.5 GB, M FUCKING PS3 SHOULDN'T BE TELLING ME THE PSP HAS NO ROOM. and if out of ten tries only two were moderately successful, and both of those tries ended up erroring out anyway, MAYBE THIS SHIT AIN'T WORKING RIGHT. finally got it onto my PSP from my PC, thank god) I'm all about the piracy. fuck Sony. I'm all for paying for content if it's easier than piracy - but if it's the other way around...

anyway, I kinda went on a rant there. point is, I'll probably be checking this out once I get bored with my current crop of shit to play on the PSP. though between FFT, Tactics Ogre, FFIX, and a couple of other RPGs, that's going to take a while.

I'd go with those as far as RPGs are concerned. The God of War PSP games are pretty good if you like that series and uh those Prinny games are pretty decent platformers. Lots of other stuff out there but my mind's drawing a blank at the moment.

And yea Birth by Sleep is awesome, although incredibly frustrating. Anyone play 3rd Birthday and want to weigh in on it?

But yeah, I can't comment on 3rd Birthday. The more info on it that came out, the less I wanted to play it all the way til the point where I just don't care about it anymore.
But just one comment I want to make about Hexyz Force, the story isn't the best but the music (and I liked the characters a lot too) in the game is just <3. Gonna put some of the game's music here in spoiler tags... I really think it's gotta fit somewhere in the top 3 PSP game OSTs along with Tactics Ogre and Birth by Sleep. If you don't want to count TO since it's a PSX/SNES remake then Crisis Core makes it up there I think.

Honestly, I enjoyed Law more, as annoying as it was to put up with the dumb decisions. Chaos seems like the better and more natural path, but you end up getting just as screwed anyway. The endish of chapter 3 Law was pretty fucking satisfying, though.

Hah, hard for me to say which scenario I liked best simply because I'm a fan of the Phoraena sisters... getting them all on the Chaos path was pretty cool though I guess the story itself on the law path was a bit more interesting once you got farther along. It was really tough for me to go that path on that first split though.
Also, I didn't like that no matter what decision you make, Vyce doesn't 'agree' with it... what a crazy guy.

The one thing I did like about the Chaos line was things didn't go as smoothly and easily as you initially think they might. On the other hand, half of the 'story battles' not really contributing anything to the story and just basically being guys chasing you was pretty annoying

I also didn't play the neutral line yet but I'll have to get around to that some time later 'cause I haven't played the game in a good while.

I thought it was extremely mediocre. If you're really bored and intend to pirate it it might be worth a look, but I'd never recommend anyone actually pay for it... some of the boss fights were pretty cool but the gameplay itself is just meh.

Trying to find my list of recommended PSP games but I can't remember what thread I posted it in... I'll cosign everything Chari said though. For PSP exclusives I'd also add God Eater, Monster Hunter (much harder to get into and essentially no story at all, but you'll either end up loving it or hating it for it's gameplay. Though for this I'd wait til you put CFW on your PSP and play the fan-translated Portable 3rd), Ys Seven and if you're a fan of Disgaea and/or roguelikes... Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman.

Playing Jade Empire, Legend of Dragoon and Legend of Legaia atm...

Only problem is all the cutscenes are broken in JE, I don't suppose anybody has this installed on their comp and wants to put the 'movies' file up for download? I downloaded a pirated version and while I found some torrents for the movie file there are like no seeders.

lol yeah, I do like roguelikes and ZHP actually got some pretty good reviews, I'm going to have to check it out, thanks for the tip. maybe once I install CFW.

actually, looking at gamestop's inventory, CFW is really the way to go with that one... seems to be a rarity, wow.

Ok. I am currently trying to plan my final team, with which cursed weapons and etc I'm going to use. I'm not fully sure yet on which characters, to use, either.

My main 5, that I will definitely be using are Denam, Vyce, Catiua, Mirdyn, and Ravness.

My current two mages are Deneb and Sherri. Also kinda using Arycelle and Ozma but idk if I want to use them. Also considering Cistina and Cerya but idk. I think I'll just focus mainly on my main 5, since you don't need that much fire power anyway.

I'm currently looking at:

Denam -- Light, which weapon should I use? Possibly a Lipul's, or I could just grab a cursed... something or other, idk. Might do bow, because that's how I currently use him. Bow from far away, magic close up. Also, could potentially change to fire, if I go with cudgel, for synergy with the fire aoe WS, but ehhhhh.
Catiua -- Also Light, also unsure which weapon to go with. Might do a cursed 1h sword? Or keep the Brynhildr? For thematic purposes, I guess. Either Catiua or Denam will go with a light cursed cudgel, I think. Unsure which.
Mirdyn -- Light based Valkyrie (fuck rune fencers), unsure on weapon. Maybe a light cursed spear? I'm actually not a big fan of light, and since I already have catiua and denam, I'm thinking of maybe changing his element. Dark? Fire? ICE? I need to go look at all the summon animations and pick which one I like best D:
Ravness -- Valkyrie, unsure on element. I have so much light, I think I may go with Lightning. I also think one of the stronger unique spears is lightning? So I don't have to go the cursed route, but idk, could do another random weapon that valkyrie can use just for the stat bonuses on those cursed weapons..
Vyce -- Thinking Dark Ji'ygla set. Since he can only shoot, the stat bonuses from cursed weapons wont matter much.

As for the others...
Sherri -- Currently a Shaman, but meh. Maybe change to Valk, and if so, what weapon?
Deneb -- Wicce, I guess. Fire/dark magic, might be kinda useless later on. I think could go with either a cursed whip or book, since I'm already using the cudgel. (I think)

Ozma -- I don't really like her sprite/face, but she's the best character in the game. Idk what to do with her.
Arycelle -- Her movement sucks, but I've always liked using her, idk if I'll keep or toss. If I go cursed bow on Denam, she has no good bow, unless I just use one of the normal high level ones.
Cistina&Cerya -- Don't really like Cistina's sprite, but I like Cerya's. Only problem is I already have Deneb as a fire mage. Could possibly go with a rogue, and a cursed blowgun or something? Could... make more Valkyries. I love Valkyries. But I'm running out of weapons.
Iuria -- Also a potential Ji'ygla, but I like Vyce better, and her face is ugly D:


Mainly just trying to figure out which cursed weapons to do, and how to spread them out. idk if anyone on here even went this far into the game where they would have helpful advice, but posting it helped me organize it a bit anyway. D:

Lots and lots of League of Legends. I just got ot level 19 with 6000IP saved up for my first runes. Im not buying any until level 20.

Also playing Resident Evil 1 Director's Cut for the first time. My first RE was 5 Gold Edition, and the story was interesting so I bought 1 off the PSN. Unfortunately I sucked hard at it, so I'm trying it again and doing much better. Currently I am using Chris and I reentered the mansion with the helmet key. Those new monsters are stupid though, I think I actually have to kill some of them.

After I beat that I have an unopened Infamous 2 and Dead Space 2 to finish !

@julian, you went the law route? I ask because I read you can only get Ravness that way. unless you did that whole World thing I'm hearing about.

I want to do law so I can pick up Ravness but Forcas (Folcurt in this version... what a terrible name change) has a special place in my heart, so I have to go neutral or chaos.
