All I have to say about the game is that the unlockable DNF vids from its earlier inceptions after you beat the game left me depressed.

Whelp, time to do my clean-up run, get my platinum trophy, try some of the multiplayer after they update it (their lobby browser implementation is horrendous), then put the game away for good.

Yeah. I think that was one of the very few missions I didn't A rank first try. I really don't remember how I beat that or the layout for it but I don't think it was difficult to beat from what I can remember. If I can actually find my damn PSP I could load up my save and go back to that mission and see what the problem areas are and see if I could give you some tips if you need...

But of course that's depending on me finding the stupid thing which I don't think is gonna happen, looked for it all day yesterday and I can't find it anywhere.

Playing through Tales of the Abyss, currently at the Tower of Rem. Such a good rpg, man I miss the ps2.

Playing Megaman and Bass on GBA. In terms of difficulty, it's about as hard as MM2 or MM9 with MM8's pacing. This could be a new favorite since I never got to play it and it was never on the anniversary collection.

All my stuff finally sold on Dungeon Fighter. Decided to get advanced sets for my Exorcist, a sweet ass +13 gun for my Machinist and some other random quest items I'm too lazy to farm for. Going to do some Tower of the Dead runs for a while and hope my hellkarium drops. I'm a few levels away from being able to solo Vilmark - Area 50, so I'll be able to farm some terranite and wrap up some story quests at my own pace.

Also, a guy in my guild was going on and on about the avenger class (unfinished 4th Priest subclass) coming out soon. Of course we all laughed our ass off at him but decided to look it up out of boredom and I'll be damned:

Hell yes it is, my only complaint is that it dragged a bit near the end... you know, after the party thinks they've defeated the big bad then you find out there still a few hours of game left to go through.

Which of the 2 is better: Megaman 9 or 10? They're both on sale for 4.99 on PSN, but I don't really want both. Also is the difficulty on them that bad? I remember hearing one of them was especially frustrating, and games with that sort of difficulty piss me off to the point that I don't want to play them.

I thought 10 was the better of the two personally, but they're both pretty good. I never really understood people saying they were hard, though. Neither one is particularly difficult outside of setting it to the maximum/hero difficulty.

Shit looks wicked doesn't it? Been taking an interest in the Priest classes (Crusader, Monk, and Exorcist) and wish had plaid as priest instead of Gunner. There's been a lot of speculation about the Avenger class and Neople admitted they just gave up on it. The most anyone ever saw were the 2 subclass skills you get (Furious Grasp and Painful Rapture) and a bunch of dead links on DFO World Wiki. Korea just got it on DNF, so if anything, it'll be at least a year before we get it.

Not a matter of which one is better, it's all based on preference. Once you play one mega man, you've pretty much plaid them all. But if you have to choose only one, I'd say 10 has slightly better music and better features. They're both about as hard as MM2, so expect a lot of rage quits on either one lol

MM10 is more featured, MM9 was just a core game w/ nickle & diming for DLC such as Protoman and higher difficulties.

Granted I digged MM9's music more. I'd recommend the MM10 DLC bundle also if you can spare the cash. You get 3 special stages with it (which are hard as fuck since one-life only), endless mode (jumbles 50+ areas about), and Bass to play as if that tickles your fancy.

I wonder how much more the 'internet' would have exaggerated it if hard-mode was the default difficulty. I've still yet to beat MM10 on it, shit is brutal since you want to stock up on bolts for the Wily castles, but they only appear in tiny amounts compared to normal.





On a gaming note, finished off Back to the Future finally after having had it for about 7 months. The game got to the point where I was just hammering on the hint functionality whenever I got mildly stuck because I wanted to see more of the story without the hurdle of getting stuck for an hour trying to hunt for a specific thing to trigger the next event. For the majority of the season, the story didn't let me down.

Dracula X Chronicles. good stuff. love the game, love the remake, love SotN (though this version sucks... but it's still SotN).

Final Fantasy IX. just hit Treno. gonna get every ability for every party member this time around.

Star Ocean: First Departure. just got sent into the past to fight an ancient demon so I can get his blood to make a vaccine because he was the source of a plague in the present that turns aliens with copper-based blood into stone which turns them into invisible weapons.

yeah, I didn't make any of that up, either.

oh well. the gameplay rocks.

In terms if difficulty based on classic Megaman titles, 9 and 10 could be considered harder based on the length of the stages. Megaman 3 is by far the most balanced of the classic titles so I usually use that to compare to other installments. 3's stages consisted of 3-5 screens. The more recent titles have less memory constraints and you'll usually run through a 5-7 screen stage. Depending on power up drop rates and damage scaling, 9 and 10 could be considered harder, but no where near as bad as everyone makes them out to be. I'll still defend Capcom for the direction they took the blue bomber in, my only nitpick is the lack of promised multiplayer though.

Back to the topic: It looks like someone made an attempt to hack my main account on Dungeon Fighter. All of my clear cube fragments and demon scrolls were stolen and they made an attempt to unlock my avatar items and equipment. Thankfully, I decided to keep all my money on an alt account so damages were pretty minimal. (around 165k) A lot of stuff is password protected when you first log in, so how hard would it be to do the same for mailing items. Well in any case, I might as well submit a ticket so Nexon can ignore it and close it in 30 days.

Agreed, but I don't mind the extra playing time.

At the final dungeon now, and the Jewel of Lorelei is some seriously broken shit - wtf at 10% hp/tp regen every couple seconds. I also wish I found out earlier that AGI affected battle speed, I didn't know what the fuck when I first played with Guy until I noticed his. Leveled up like 20 times with an AGI C.C. on Luke and he was moving/swinging pretty quick after. Definitely doing a ng+ to mess around with the C.C's and stuff. They did a fantastic job on the customizing elements in this one.

You should try and get the CC that gives +4 or whatever to all stats before you finish that play-through. It's pretty awesome.
