I heard the game is getting some HD makeover or sumthing?

Finally finished FFTA2: Grimoire of the Rift. Fun game.
Working on Infinite Undiscovery on 360. Liking it so far.
Not really working on.. anything PS3 wise. Ar Tonelico 3 was so goddamned disappointing I'm having a hard time getting back into anything there. Maybe FF13 or Eternal Sonata will recapture my attention there. The former probably as soon as I get over with my dumb obsession of hoping an Adamantoise drops a Trap in Chapter 11.
just picked up madden 12 and I think my xbox. Only was able to start franchise and draft before xbox locked up. idk if it's my xbox or the game but screen loads seem to take forever. Can't just gameplay yet, but trading seems to be broken. I attempted two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick for a 83 WR and was denied. Same trade for a 79 QB and was denied. Tried to trade a 85 DT / 1st rd pick / 2nd rd pick for a 81 ROLB and was denied. All those trades would've happened in madden 10 (last madden I owned). What gives?
you know you have a problem when your official online store is far more difficult to deal with than the free yet illegal world of piracy. hence me now playing P3P and torrenting a bunch of other shit to try out.
screw you, sony. never make piracy the lazy man's choice.
There's so much wrong with the game, it's crazy.
The UFA issue in Franchise is huge. The game creates a bunch of scrub roster fillers for cut day and then keeps them over actual players.
Some teams play 95% of their games in the rain.
Superstar mode makes you a starter no matter how shitty your OVR is.
A lot of player models in game are reused. ie: Rodgers shows up as a ref etc.
The hair textures are horrid too. ie: Clay Matthews has Polamalu's hair, but blonde.
Really looking forward to the end of EA's NFL exclusivity. They got complacent and don't give a shit anymore.
Playing Kotor on the pc. I can`t believe I sold my Xbox version over ten years ago, that was stupid of me.
Finished off the 2nd & 3rd entry in the Penumbra series after sitting on them for months after completing the 1st.
I have mixed feelings about both of them, mostly involving both the way the stories were handled, and their approach to puzzles not exactly giving you enough of a nudge to know how to tackle a situation. Wasted 30min trying to do a puzzle via stacking physics objects for a makeshift staircase, just to learn I was going about it all wrong, even though the game makes use of object stacking a lot in some other puzzles.
Will get down to playing Amnesia some next week, hoping it'll deliver a more feature-rich package. The Penumbra series just felt like unrealized potential, and were also short, so I'm expecting better of Amnesia given the praise people have given it.
Spoiler: show
That style of gameplay makes me wish some indie dev would do a similar styled game on the PS3 using the PS Move. That controller feels like it was designed for the kind of interactions Penumbra does.
I guess DXHR put me in the mood for FPS RPGs, started Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines yesterday.
This so much that it hurts! The last good, and I mean really good Madden Games I can remember outside of the SEGA and SNES versions is 99-2002. Lately it's been getting so bad that people have been modding the NFL2k series to the point of adding textures and various gameplay aspects. But my complaint is that why hasn't anyone just said fuck it and put out a football game without the license. (and no, XFL doesn't count) The only thing good to come out football wise was Backbreaker, which was based off European rules or something. Wasn't something that could compete with Madden or even 2K Sports, but goddamn was it original. Most notable were the ragdoll physics, and the amazing detail they put into the run game with their analog based controls. It's highly unlikely that EA isn't going to renew the contract, but someone needs to put something worth while out just to compete.
Played Hard Reset demo.
It was good.
Stuck with Plants vs. Zombies since PS+ decided to give it out for this month. Looks a heck lot sharper with the new framing and cleaned up visuals at least, given the original game ran at 800x600 only. Game sorely needs a fast-forward button though, first 5 hours are dreadfully dull due to PopCap's patented difficulty curve.
Needs to be mid-September already, getting Resident Evil 1 from PS+ (2 & 3 also but I already got those cheap a few months back), and RE4 HD for 50% off. Still no word on PS Move support though, which is going to blow as I found the game infinitely more fun on my Wii vs. the Gamecube original.
Playing Outland atm (fantastic visuals, fun gameplay). After that it's time for Bastion (another drug for an aesthetics-addict like me), then Dark Souls... And Rayman Origins in November (the art blows my mind) and Trine 2 (you get the idea). Great platforming year this one is turning out to be!
Dunno if I'lll be able to resist sonic generations either..
But goddamn I'm in love with 'indie' games nowadays. Been thinking about getting dungeons of dredmor also.
Finished up Infinite Undiscovery. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Right now I'm working on DQ9 and that seems to be interesting enough. Trying to decide which console game to tackle next.. leaning towards FF13 (or at least, trying to do that one again), but I may opt to tackle Eternal Sonata or even SO4, since I'm on a Tri-Ace kick.
Assassin's Creed Revelations Beta. So good.
Just got PS3 Vesperia in mail. No idea how this patch thing is supposed to work but that's my new obsession until I figure it out.
Man I have a craving to play through the megaman X collection. Never played X7 and X8 though, are they worth playing?
Late here but you're in for a treat. Make sure you play through at least once as a Malkavian with some nice headphones on, not the first time though, it'll ruin later playthroughs for you if your first round is Malk.
Started Dead Island and I'm not sure what to make of it. The lack of a save feature on exit is annoying as hell. Good so far but I can see it getting old fast.
Focus on melee really gives you a sense of panic when you're being swarmed but a stack of enemies and your weapon's about dead though, that's nice.
X7 was probably the worst in the series mainly due to the fact Capcom tried something different and it didn't work out too well. Moreover, X isn't even playable at the start. It's ok when it stays with its 2d roots, but when the 3d element comes into play, things get dicey. A good part of the difficulty from this game just stems from bad design.
X8 is a little bit better and for the most part stays true to the series' roots apart from a couple of levels.
Of course I'm part of the school of thought where the series should've just ended with X5 when Inafune left to work on the Zero series.
I'm 3 games into my franchise on Madden 12 and I have to say I paid $60 for a roster update and a game downgrade. Gonna break it down a little but I have to say if anyone is thinking of buying this do yourself a favor and don't!
gameplay: not bad. still getting used to it. I liked the running game in '10 much more. 3 games and not 1 interception is baffling, although I haven't thrown for one either.
graphics: i am happy with graphics. not much to say as it is what it is in 2011 with sports game graphics
flow/loading: terrible. load screens suck. a few times i thought my xbox froze. gameplay hiccups a bit
extras: i'm disappointed with no legends in fantasy draft for franchise. no halftime show. music kinda sucks. that's all i got for now since i'm 3 games in
commentary: this is important to me. i know, "if you don't like it turn it off!" but I've just always liked hearing commentary in sports games. I don't know who Gus is (other commentator is Chris Collinsworth again) but this guy is turrible. The lines they gave him are just stupid and his voice sucks. Give me Al Michaels! side note my fav commentary in sports games is probably the baseball games from EA sports from the early 00's.
Resistance 3 and League of Legends. My friend has been nagging me for months to give LoL a try and so far it has been really damn fun. Looking forward to Dark Souls next month.
