At the Tower of Kagutsuchi now on Nocturne, and holy shit the world map music is awesome at this point of the game. I've been debating if I want to get Dante first then beat the game, but I have Ico/SotC HD waiting on my shelf now and I haven't played either of them ever, so I'm a bit impatient. Lol. Definitely an awesome game, though. I'll have to play it again sometime after Dark Souls' awesomeness wears off and get True Demon ending. I think I'm on the neutral path right now.
I want to get all the endings in Nocturne... I did true neutral first time, which fits my personality well. I really liked it. I don't know if I'll ever have the time to get all of the endings, though I guess it wouldn't take TOO long if you created alternate saves at the appropriate spots.
speaking of SMT, I'm in mid-September in P3P. can't stress enough how worthwhile this is for any fan of the original P3. it adds so much to the game, especially if you play the FeMC, but even if you don't - you can grind as much as you want in one night, s-links no longer get pissed if you leave them alone for too long, and it's just generally easier to max all the s-links out.
need to finish it up though, I have Tales of Destiny next on my plate and I really want to give that one a replay. sure the gameplay is clunky as hell for a Tales game, but the characters are endearing and the dialogue so well-written and humorous that I don't mind. and clunky for a Tales game is still pretty good.
other than that, I've been bitten by the ClaDun bug... playing the sequel, which is probably the right one to start with since it's basically identical to the first game but with a ton more of the same. the gameplay is decent and the story is meh but the customization is classic Nippon Ichi, and I love it. it's one of those "just one more dungeon..." types of games that ends up stealing away hours of your life when you only meant to play for five minutes. oh and the party system is one of the most original I have EVER seen.
rune factory 3 :D funfun
Demon's Souls for the forever'th time. Went with a Faith Build this time around just because it has decent PVE capabilities but I plan on effing around in PVP a few times until a week from now. I made the most rookie mistake ever though and had to restart. I accidentally suicided Miralda and LIKE A TOTAL DUMBASS picked up the Brushwood shyte on my way down to get her Binded gear...
Ultimate Dumbassery then ensued when I Evac'd to the Nexus. No idea why I thought that that shit would be there when I went back in. What i should have done was drop the stupid Brushwood Shield and then get her whole set for about the same weight. Nope. Dumbass.
So I restarted and am back up to that point, but this time did not get Pure White (thanks Online tendancy shifts!) So now I am just getting some other stuff. Grabbed 4-1 and 3-1 last night, I will probably just do 3-2 next if I can even take out Maneaters with my current weapon.
Also just got FIFA 12 and Ico/SotC Collection so can't wait to put some time into those for a week. Then it is all Dark Souls.
Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, finally! As usual, enjoying it a lot so far, definitely better than 1 and 2. Hopefully I can actually plat this one this time before online is completely dead. Besides that, been playing Dead Nation still, just need one more trophy for Plat, damn King of Looters trophy is becoming a pain for me to get![]()
Anyone played From Dust yet? I was really looking forward to it when it was preparing to launch, but kind of forgot about it in that window and now I don't know if I should get it on PC on console since the PC version had that dumb fuck DRM thing.
Got the Team Ico collection from Gamefly.
I forgot how much I hated the camera in SotC. Totally need to relearn the game as well. Took me a few tries to just get the first colossus down.
I forgot Wander runs like he's constantly trying to kick a soccer ball, and yeah, I had to reverse the cameras, who the fuck thought these were good defaults I don't know
would've like to see them actually re-do some textures instead of just replicate what can already be done in an emulator, but it's still pretty regardless
I don't know why I signed up for this months ago, but I did. Beta starts today.

Took a break from RE1. That game's super uptightness about giving you ink ribbons to save your data is deterring me from trying to casually get through it. Ended up playing a good couple hours of Code Veronica X which is much more leniant on it.......as well as the ammo, which I'm starting to think will bite me in the ass later at the rate I'm mowing down zombies.
Figured I'd boot up God of War 3 and finish off my platinum in it by beating it on the harder difficulty. Haven't touched the game in months, and all I have to say is, I'm stunned the game still looks miles better than the majority of upper-end games during the year. Am nearing the end of the game, currently stuck at the end of the pandora cube bit. Having troubles dealing with 8-10 waves of fucking annoying monsters all at once back2back, even with maxed out weapons/upgrades. Will grind through that eventually, just need to get in a groove.
Picked up Ico/SoTC collection. Played an hour of ICO.....and I think I'll be holding off on the game until I get my 3DTV in December, as that game looks like it'd be great in it given the scale of the environments and the soft lighting. I forgot how wide the FOV was in those two games, makes even smaller areas feel large.
Picked up Persona 2 + 3 for the psp. Started with 2 first and i'm really enjoying it. Its pretty simple so far but I know the difficulty is gonna ramp up soon like all other shin megami games.
On another note I have such a huge backlog now I told my brother to take my bank card until I beat a couple games lol. Wish they weren't mostly rpgs.
lol I'm playing Persona 3 and have P2 next on my list... I will probably wait a while to dig in though. I'll need something a little less meaty before I can go for another Persona game. probably Tales of Destiny.
I'm getting nervous too... just hit the end of November and I will for sure max out everything but Love and Magician. I will probably be able to max out one of those, and MAYBE both... we'll see!
I have such a huge backlog right now.
Been going back and forth between Ico and SotC.
Have yet to open Dead Island and Deus Ex. Getting Dark Souls and NBA2K12 from Gamefly today. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record hits next week.
With all that said, I can't stop playing Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 long enough to play much else right now. lol
Would anyone be able to give me a quick rundown or perhaps point me to like a beginners guide to persona lol.
I guess I kinda overwhelmed myself and not sure what to be focusing on. Like should I just concentrate on playing and leveling as I go or will that not be enough? In my heart I know it wont be lol but I don't mind the grind.
Should I be farming cards for new personas or will the ones I started out with be okay for awhile? (Most of them are capped/close to cap) And when I do have to switch what should I be looking for in a new one?
Any help would be appreciated.
Holy fuck, Dino Crisis was boring. Not a bad game by PS1 standards, I guess, but it's certainly no Resident Evil. I found it pretty sluggish to get through, but it's also possible it just hasn't aged well I suppose. Anyone know how Dino Crisis 2 compares to the first?
My BF bought me a playstation move so now I'm toying around with that, I'll probably go and beat Dead Space Extraction (even though I already played it twice on Wii). I'm also replaying Resident Evil 5, gonna give the Move a try with that too.
I think after the marathon I've just had I'm getting a little sick of horror games (although I really don't have many left from the ps1 era up until now that I haven't played, lol) and my 360 backlog has gotten huge recently from shit I've found on sale so I'll probably hit that up next. Anyone have anything good to say about Singularity, Splatterhouse, PoP Forgotten Sands, or Majin?
