I played the first Diablo when it was ported to PSX and considered D2 for years. FFXI, Guild Wars, and Dofus kept me from getting around to it. Diablo 3 looks incredible and I wanted to at least make some progress in D2 since it seems like I'll have plenty of time to do so. I'll probably do X-Men legends on the side since the guide was so interesting. I need to get a new PC though, it doesn't even match up to the minimum system requirements for Titan Quest![]()
Seeing how you mention the PS2 versions, have you tried Baldur's Gate on the PC? BG2 is a massive game and the mod scene for Baldur's Gate is pretty huge.
The Gibberlings Three and Baldur's Gate II: Westley Weimer's Mods are the biggest I think but there's tons of others about.
Some clever chaps even made a mod to let you import BG1 into BG2 so you can use the improved BG2 engine and enjoy one huge ass run-through of all the games and expansions.
Then there's custom NPCs a plenty and tons of new scenarios floating about on the interwebs, not to mention the other Infinity Engine games like Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment. (Which they're also trying to port into BG2 engine).
Best of all they're all old so any new machine can run them no worries.
Just started playing Persona 4 on the 2nd play through right now (haven't even gotten to the first dungeon yet).
I was playing Fallout3 but the son of a bitch kept freezing on me anytime I went within a fucking nautical mile of Rivet City. I even tried multiple copies of the game and the bitch kept freezing so I just said fuck it. Too bad too I really enjoyed it up till that part and I barely scratched the surface of the quests. But so many of my open quests involved me going to Rivet City it just totally fucked me.
Now I'm waiting on Gamefly to figure out what game I'm getting next. I hope I timed it right so I can maybe get Sacred 2 or something but I'll probably be getting Price of Persia or Resident Evil 5 next.
Seeing people talk about Suikoden is making me want to bust out Suikoden 1 and play that beast through 5 but my wife would probably kill me subjecting her to such things for hours on end.
Mass Effect again half way now on third play through and Eternal Sonata.
Everyone on my XBL knows thisI just can't stop.
i felt like firing up ME again as well.. it was just so good
Yeah it is. HALP ME STOP!
Weird, my net's been out for the past 2 weeks and I played through ME again. Actually bothered to do all the sidequests and stuff this time and managed to get from level 1 to level 51 on a fresh Hardcore playthrough. Also been debating Eternal Sonata again, but I wanted to 100% and I couldn't get a guide for it since the lack of internet. I remember missing a crapload of music sheets or something my first playthrough, so I'd have to do yet another normal run and then an encore run, which would just be a pain in the ass.
Other than that, just been grinding through Warriors Orochi 2 and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2. Thinking of picking up some older Tales games and Skies of Arcadia to play through should I be stranded again.![]()
<3 Warriors Orochi 2.
You've got taste girl. My disdain for Charismatic wont let me play a tales game though unfortunately. Give me your XBL id, I want to check out your library since you and I play and like lot of the same things.
You can pm if you want, or I can actually just you know.... look.
Dood she aint going to bang you, you're black.
God damn I'm fucking bored. 24 minutes of work left then I'm free to go home and watch Taken.
I've been playing a good bit of Counterstrike and L4D as of late myself. Starcraft every now and again as well, and I've almost completely lost interest in FFXI.
Warhammer Fantasy Battle
Well not really playing. I'm finishing up painting my army. Then when that is completed I will be working on building a proper gaming table and some terrain.
Titan Quest is pretty good, although it gets a little repetitive after a while.
The Untold Legends games for psp are decent dungeon crawlers for handhelds, although they're very much handheld games and don't really hold a candle to their console/pc counterparts. They're competent enough for on-the-go, however.
If you're still itching for ps2 dungeon crawlers I would *HIGHLY* recommend Bard's Tale, a game that sadly goes overlooked no matter how many times I recommend it to people. Less inventory management than Baldur's Gate/Champions of Norrath but the summoning aspect is kinda neat, and the story is hilarious with great voice work (the main char. is even voiced by Carey Elwes). And it's cheap these days! It's a great tongue-in-cheek satire of the entire genre, too.
Started playing Sid Meier's SimGolf occasionally during FFXI downtime. I forgot how fun and addictive the game was.
