HD remakes of the SMT PS2 games would be amazing. <3

still playing ToD2, just reached the future era. the boss in Heidelberg is such a bitch with his nigh-invincible spellcasting panther and his tendency to chain Negative Gate off of attacks. had to take it down to Second mode so he would stop doing that. I'm not using gummis, though (and I have no idea why considering the title you get isn't all that great except for casters).

Gotta love/hate that boss, him and Barbatos... RAGE

    Spoiler: show

Makes you feel damn good after winning though.

One thing to note is that the 2nd hit of hell sword/bakuenken hits whatever you have targeted regardless of which enemy you actually attacked. If you get lucky you can interrupt the pet's casting even when attacking Sabnock.
Also a damn good idea to have the panther targetted anyway so you can use shortcuts to have your mages taking him out immediately

nice, thanks for the tip. although even with that I'm not sure how to get past the Negative Gate spam.. other than to lower the difficulty to the point where he has to cast it instead of chaining it, the cheap fucker. I hear more of the bosses in ToD2 are like that too; where increasing the difficulty actually changes their tactics. good idea although it can be painful on the receiving end.

and I didn't realize magic could damage the panther. d'oh

    oh well, next playthrough

Oh you don't know the meaning of cheap til you fight Barbatos 3. Sabnock and Ose is one of the trouble fights for a lot of people though, first real taste of difficulty and bosses that go rape-mode at low health.

It's better that no one tells him how to fight it, that fight was FUN (though also frustrating) going in not knowing what to do.
I sure hope the guide he is using doesn't give battle strats or anything.

For 2 you have to get every dog tag and get the high score on all the VR missions.

For 3 you have to shoot all the kerotans and collect every type of fruit or wildlife.

3 will probably be ok but 2 is going to be a major pain in the ass.

I remember getting every dog tag in every difficulty in 2. I had so much time to kill back then. I found doing all that crap in 3 a bitch cause of that one animal that you have to do specific things for.

I never got into the dog tag thing since I had the PC port of MGS2, and it was hard as fuck to hold your gun out at someone and then not accidentally shoot after due to lack of pressure-sensitivte face button support.....which MGS2/3 as far as I know are the only PS2 games outside of a racing title to actually use.
    Spoiler: show
The stupid flute minigame in Star Ocean 3 doesn't count.

How did that work, had to sneak up behind a guy who has a twinkle effect, go in first person behind them and hold your gun at 'em? Going to be fun check-listing them all down.....

Also, for anyone that has PS+ and likes puzzlers, go download "Where is my heart?" right now. That shit hurts my brain.

Ya, best thing to do was to use the Night Vision if I remember correctly. Was a lot easier to see it. Hold them up from behind, run in front of them, point at their face or balls, make them dance, get Tag. I love doing no kill play throughs

Picking up MGS HD collection today. Beat MGS1 a few nights ago to prepare for it.

Didn't you already have to do all of that for certain items? I never completed the "all dog tags" thing, but the stuff in MGS3 I've done before and don't remember it being too bad. Also, I enjoy that type of stuff, so should be cool.

I actually never knew about these two parts:

    Vampire Eyer
Catch a glimpse of Vamp standing in the streets of New York during the end cinematic.
The Cat's out of the Bag
Catch a glimpse of Ocelot, who's seen behind the president when he tries to shake Snake's hand.

Holy fucking controller change batman. O isn't the main button, the right stick controls the camera in First person, and some other shit. I don't like this D:

I played through MGS2 twice on my PC (years apart) mostly just for the story, so it'll be interesting to actually be required to visit every location just to collect tags. Really hoping there are not too many of them to get on the hardest difficulty, I'm not that good at being stealthy on MGS2 without the camera from MGS3:Subsistence, and I think you don't even get the radar on that last difficulty?

At least the tag collection is persistent so I don't have to do it all on a single playthrough per difficulty.

I also still hate how right-analog was bound to the mouse on that port. Made the

I still mess up from time to time on the controls but god damn did I ever miss playing these games. I forgot how enjoyable they are though, I fucked up my no kill play through. I forgot about the choke hold and broke a dudes neck by mistake. D:

Finally fished RE:3 Nemesis, wrapping up my first ever playthroughs of the PSX RE games. Hard mode(or is it pretty much normal mode?).

Started up Code Veronica HD right after and maaaaan those controls are screwing me up. X button to run? What is this? LOL

Alongside that, I'm wrapping up Sonic Generations. I've been able to stay in the top 100 for my Leaderboard scores for the PS3, but I have a long way to go to get a top 100 rank in every Act of every level.

After that...family game night with Uncharted 3!

The Bouncer! I always forgot I had like, twice as many moves as I actually did just because I'd forget about those damn analogue face buttons.

Bleach soul resurreccion is going to be more time consuming than I thought. Also it's a terrible adaptation. KOEI really should have been the one to make the game. Would have been miles better.

Man, I'm playing MGS PW HD on the ps3 and just wow. Updated graphics, the controls are extremely better than the PSP and its more fun.

Anyone feel like kicking some ass, let me know.

Got Vanquish for 12€. Not putting it down before I lose my sanity with God Hard.

Goddamn the Rayman Origins demo, though... such a fantastic presentation, great music/sounds, smooth gameplay that is actually pretty challenging at times. Can somebody enlighten me as to why the hell is the platformer genre kicking so much ass lately? Outland, Bastion, Trine 2, Super Meat Boy, Rayman:O, Sonic Generations,... these games just keep topping each other for me. UbiArt Framework is so fucking awesome. I'm going to buy a 2d platformer for 40€... I never thought I'd say this. It's just that good.
