Started playing Deus Ex HR again. Just got past the first boss. Man this game is fun!

Wanted to play Skyward Sword, but didn't realize I needed Wii Motion Plus for it. So because of that I'm back to trying to beat Trauma Team on Specialist difficulty.
Should be able to find a Motion+ adapter for $20 if you can spare it.
Boxing day happened for me, snagged a copy of AssCreed Rev for PS3, so happy about that. Currently forcing myself to finish Brotherhood's story up first. Been enjoying it more once I started collecting multiple assassin's to do my bidding. Cash is so fucking easy to come by in this compared to #2, and the multiple fast-travel locations very welcomed also after having wasted so much time manually running to spots in AC2.
After Brohood I'll be playing AC1 off the Revelations disc (nice little bonus) as I never beat it proper. Owned it on PC for years now, but that port was a bit demanding for my aging rig, and didn't bother putting more than 3 hours into it as gaming at 12-15fps isn't enjoyable.
Just got back from Wal Mart. Dumb ass over the phone said they had them for 10 dollars. When I finally got someone (Same person I talked to over the phone) they couldn't find them and said they must have sold out.
Funny thing is, if the 10 dollar device they were looking for was what I think it was, it wasn't the Motion Plus unit, just a nerf foam wheel for driving games. Other Wal Mart told me they've stopped carrying the cheap ones for awhile.
After getting to play it for a bit, Skyward Sword isn't too bad. Though I feel the swings are still fairly "off", and so is pointing the sword to the sky.
Just finished Corpse Party on the PSP.
Spoiler: show
Has anyone played El Shaddai? Got it for $20 at GameStop. I'm on the last chapter now, and it's actually pretty good. I love the 2D portions of the game.
SWTOR at the moment. All other games are collecting dust... I felt bad for a moment, then went back to my Sith and started killing things
Having a hard time choosing what to play between Deus Ex HR, Batman AA, Rage, and Skyrim.
Same here. A few tweaks to the battle system and it could've been great. So many unused buttons... what's the point?
Graphics and environments were mind blowing though. I found myself progressing in the game just to see what madness I would encounter next.
Boss battles before boss battles annoyed the shit out of me though. Sometimes I would do well and other times my shit would get wrecked for no reason. Negative edge + unresponsive controls = disaster.
Anyone got a WC3 key they're not using? I wanted to give Dota a whirl -- saw a friend playing it and it looked pretty fun (yes, I know, I'm late to the party)
I don't think I ever ran into that. If anything, I felt getting out of enemy combos/tight spots was too easy. You could pretty much guard cancel out of every one of your actions too, making shit simple if you had Perfect Guard timing down. But I agree, combat system could use an upgrade. I found myself using the same combo throughout the game.
It was worth $20 in my opinion. I probably would've been a bit upset if I paid $40-60.
Anyway, a friend bought me the whole Uncharted series for Christmas, which I haven't played befote, so it's time to start that.
Double :\
Special stages in Sonic CD make me want to strangle a kitten.
At least I can enjoy that on a functioning 24" display again. The refresh rate on my prior Sony 3d monitor went to shit after a month, then died a couple weeks later. Couldn't even use it for 3d gaming since it was crosstalk hell, so thank god for warranties on overpriced monitors. Anything is better than my 720p 13" backup TV.
Also been playing some Chrono Trigger on the DS. Feels kinda off playing it on that platform though. I'm so used to the SNES slowdowns and lower-quality midi samples. I want to shoot whoever thought having the inventory menu span both screens was a good idea though.
Alice: Madness Returns right now. Was planning on getting the Plat for it, but I don't know anymore. The game is the most boring, mind-numbing thing I've ever played through. Plus, going through a 3 hour chapter and noticing I missed ONE collectible made me want to flip out. Yes, theres a collectible guide out there, but how the fuck am I supposed to know which of the 30 available ones in the chapter was the one I missed? I'm probably just going to finish it then trade it in. Might pick up Skyrim when I can find it cheap. It's not usually my type of game, but with everyone on the internet saying how amazing it is, I've gotta try it just to see what all the hype is about.
Sword and shield weapons were so slow and unresponsive when needing negative edge to do guard breaks, and trying to evade out of those moves most of the time didn't work or was just slow (compared to my input). Eventually I started perfect guarding stuff or just bracing for the hit, since the usual defensive options just weren't working (and were limited to begin with).
Eventually I just learned my shit with gale and didn't run into many problems, but the battle system is frustrating because it's between a good and a bad place. Just needed a bit more to push it over the edge. It's definitely not the worst battle system I've ever played, but it is annoying seeing that it could be so much better.
Definitely not a full pricer, but worth a run through just for the visuals.
LocoRoco 2. how could a game so cute, with so few chances to actually die, be so rage-inducing?
Then don't bother with it, seriously.
If you're going into it with the expectations that it'll be amazing since everyone else seems to love it you're probably going to dislike it more than you would have naturally and it already ain't your kinda game. That'd just be a waste of time.
