Ain't that the truth? Neutral ending for Hexyz Force (you have to beat the game at least once before you can even get it and you have to have all of the Stigald pieces and have a perfectly balanced scale at the end) is a troll too considering you have to go out of your way for it and it is easily the least satisfying ending of them all. WTF.
Seriously worse than both destruction endings.
When you finish Zero there's a mode that lets you play through what amounts to a digest of the first game, covers all the major plot points and etc with less choice. Importing save data from the original nets you something relatively minor iirc, so it's pretty much a toss up.
Also, fuck fishing in Nier, I didn't have any troubles with the quest, but every time I try to fish somewhere I apparently pull up some titan of the deep with a health bar so massive that I'd need to call on Poseidon himself to help me reel it in. Even if I manage to whittle it's bar down to halfway over the course of 5 minutes, it slips the line for no apparent reason.
And that is why you don't fish after the mandatory story quest.
Wife and I picked up Rayman Origins because it was on sale and we needed a new couch co-op to play together. One of the best purchases we've made in a long time. Incredibly fun, and doesn't have the frustration levels that New Super Mario Bros had. It's a shame this game didn't and isn't getting more buzz because it's a really damn good game.
Not really playing, but what's his name that posted a lot of DFO stuff:
just booted my cyclo back up for the first time in forever. forgot I had all of this shit on here. not sure if I'd rather replay FFVI Advance with those patches, or maybe a Castlevania game... or both, I guess
or hmm, I haven't played Fire Emblem in ages....
I will say, transitioning back from the PSP, I miss being able to just turn my system off and come back to it later... I've already lost a bit of playtime because I forgot I can't do that >_>
yeah, I've had bad results from standby mode with my cyclo. dunno why.
Doing my 2nd of two runs through ME2 on PC. Preparing for ME3. Forgot to back up my saves when I formatted. Just blizting through everything. Skipping all dialog making the decisions I want to. Saved a ton of time by using a char mod & giving myself 400k of each mineral, 900k credits, and put it on easy. I already beat the game on Insanity ages ago, so at this point it''s just getting the save games back.
BTW, very useful site if you don't want to do it yourself. Has ME 1 & 2

Never had problems with my fat DS and the Cyclo either.
Never played the Metroid Prime series. Recently found out there was a Trilogy collection for the Wii so been playing the first one. Gotta say, its a really fun game. Can't believe I didn't play them when I had a game cube.
Agreed on it being a great game, but I found some of the treasure stages and especially Land of the Livid Dead pretty frustrating/challenging.
Playing through Demon's Souls at the moment, or trying to... fucking Maneaters are so cheap. That pounce spam stunlock is absolute bullshit.
If you want a strategy that makes the fight a whole lot easier....
Spoiler: show
How long is Rayman Origins anyhow? I've been wanting to pick up either it or Sonic Generations, and want the most bang for my buck with their current prices up in my area ($50 each ;/).
I do use the brazierproblem is that ONE pounce that connects (or sometimes even staggering me is enough) and then they just pounce pounce pounce until you're dead (or off the edge). So frustrating.
Rayman Origins is about ... I'd like to say about 20 hours for a standard playthrough, more to 100%? I'm not entirely sure I'm afraid. I burned through it co-op with my sister in about 4 days of playing (not solidly).
Rayman took me 10 hours give or take. Probably would take at least 5 more to 100%.
The ice levels were pretty frustrating but the music more than makes up for it.
Now I'm about to buy Dustforce, looks awesome as hell. I love platformers.
@Kaisha TRU has had rayman origins for 19.99 for a little over a week now.

Seems they don't appear to have international shipping options from what I'm gathering from their help section, shame.
On a pessimist note, it's an Ubisoft published title, and they released it at the worst possible time, so given their history they'll be dropping it to the $19/29 price-point within the next couple of months where I'm at so I don't get raped on shipping fees from other US sources.
