Finally started Lost Odyssey last night, but I'm still hooked on NHL 09 too. Too much fun online.
Hannah's Departure on Lost Odyssey, holy shit bawwwwwwwwwwww.
Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena - which is amazing
Wolverine- Downloaded the demo of this just for the usual lolvideogamecomicbookmovietieincrapfest and was amazed at how fun it is.
Star Ocean The Last Hope- Finally getting back around to starting this. Hope it is good.
Resident Evil 5 question - I have Beat and enjoyed all of the other RE games, but after playing Dead Space, L4D, etc. I was really, really turned off by the controls in the demo, not being able to move and shoot at this point just drove me nuts. Is the game good enough to overcome the control complaint for a long time fan of the series?
You get used to the controls and they become very great. The game is fun but a let down. I rented it twice to beat it and get good items but wouldn't buy.
Just purchased C&C Red Alert 3 finally >.> . A couple of friends wanted me to try it out. Big fan of StarCraft and Total War as far RTS goes...looks promising.
And of course, FFXI -__- Bane of my exsistance I tell you!
Currently working on:
FF8 - Played to near the end of the game before but never got around to beating it, hopefully will do that this time.
Legend of Dragoon - Beaten this before, but it was at least 8 years ago. Glad I picked it up again.
Xenogears - Always lose interest in the middle of disc 2. Let's see if I can beat this one finally.
And I've been messing around on some f2p online mmos. Having fun with Atlantica Online and Sword of the New World. I need to hurry up and start my job so I can play WoW again hehe
For whatever reason I'm really not enjoying Tales of Symphonia, I think it's a bit too linear and the story, although deep, seems a bit contrived. It could be impatience too, I'm starting a new job in ~1 week and I don't have countless hours to devote to my ridiculous backlog anymore.
My new plan is to take a break from RPGs for 1-2 games, so next up I'll be playing Alone in the Dark: Inferno for ps3 (which apparently is quite improved over the 360/ps2 versions, and actually good) and then maybe Silent Hill: Homecoming.
I want to play a good newish traditional RPG after that so I might go with Mana Khemia for ps2, although I haven't ruled out something like Dark Cloud 2 or Shadow Hearts 2. Am I really missing out on a lot if I dont play Dark Cloud 1 before 2?
no, skip 1
Currently toughing my way through the new Punch-Out!!
Title Defense is a real bitch. I'm sure Champion Mode (if I even manage to unlock it) will make me want to kill myself.
balance board sucks for punch out
This is all well and good but the ability to spam trades to fill my inventory with Protoman3 and Hero Sword chips is essential to my enjoyment of the game, I'm afraid.
If only they gave Meredy an adult speaking voice. But some of the best battles in the Tales series (and probably the best 2-d battles) make up for that.
So about 4hrs into Star Ocean and this probably isn't the thread to ask this but does the story ever get going/better? I just don't understand why we were hell bent on checking out a planet to inhabit since Earth is fucked, we get there some shit goes down (but the planet is pretty much a perfect match to Earth) and immediatly your told leave here now go and find an Earth like planet we can colonize. I'm barely in so I am hoping something unfolds as to why we just don't attempt to eradicate the issues on the current planet and see if it will work instead of jumping ship to the next. Battle system is top notch tho, and what little synthesis I have been able to do so far has been awesome.
D2 hasn't shown up in the mail yet. I beat Baldur's Gate, but now I'm doing all the modded quests and the unfinished business patch. Best RPG without final or fantasy in the title ...ever.

Star Ocean and story don't really go together (although sometimes it does have some nice characters). Even my favorite of the series, SO2, is mediocre at best in that department. It's more about the insane number of ways in which you can customize your party (item creation, skills, etc.) and the battles themselves.
That said, you must be talking about the most recent one since I don't recognize the plot - and I haven't played it, so I dunno.
I just started up a ToE save yesterday myself.
Just crossed over the Bridge of Light into Celestia... any excuse to hear Celestia Battle again is a good one.
I just bought Castle Crashers yesterday and I am really loving it. The art is just amazing and the game is really funny. Other than that still playing L4D off and on.
you either have a lot of free time or play fast... it took me over 10 hours to get into Celestia, if I remember correctly.
I've played the game before. Got to Celestia in 5.etc and I'm 8:40 in.Spoiler: show
Part of that is idle time due to trying to play @ work. (PSP version on Hard mode only because I have to beat the game to unlock Hardcore)
