Do they ever get fan-translated or official for that matter? I've always wanted to play the Super Robot Wars games but I never see english versions. I think the only one I've actually ever played was the amazing Endless Frontier spin-off.

it was actually done pretty fucking intelligently, there's no need to edit the game file or worry about save compatibility, you just follow the instructions to add a little folder on your psp running cfw that patches the game whenever it runs and you can remove those patches whenever you like. I think some magic and abilities still seem a little slow, but for the most part it seems totally good to go. I would also probably expect more updates from that source to fine tune and smooth out any other kinks, looks like the guy doing it is pretty committed.

Out of curiousity, did you try upping the clock speed on your PSP and see if that gets rid of the remaining slowdown you're noticing? It might be a product of the PSP struggling rather than the games coding, although unlikely given it's not exactly graphically intensive or anything. Also please keep talking about it because I am getting close to downloading it and finally replaying it myself. 1.3 makes me wanna toss my PSP out the window so it's nice to finally have a reason to replay vanilla Tactics.

No, the problem is in the code.

I read up on his posts. It looks like one of the graphics-related function returns a value, and based on 3 bits (bits 11-9 iirc?) it decided how much to slow it down. So 001 was normal, 010 1/2 slowdown, 100 1/4 slowdown.

Been playing Tales of the Abyss on my 3DS on hard and I'm having a hard time with Sword Dancer which I guess is an optional boss in Coral Castle. Will I be able to go back there later to fight him?

Just played and finished Journey.

One of the most beautiful and amazing games I have ever played. I enjoyed it so much I went back and finished it again right after completing my first playthrough.

No. The sword dancers disappear after certain plot points. There is a certain item you can only get if you beat all of them, though.

Totally missed this sorry, but yeah I've had the clock speed raised from the beginning. Weirdly it makes a bigger difference than I thought as default speed and no patch is pretty ridiculous. Patched + raised clock is a considerable difference, I think I was just remembering the actual speed from the original differently as videos online of emulations tend to be FPS unlocked where shit's firing off immediately.

At the Ice Cavern in Ys: Oath in Felghana and got to say this game was totally worth the 15 dollars. I love old RPGs where just a 2 level difference can be make-or-break.

Game also has the best achievement in the history of mankind:

Finally got my melee brick build up to speed on Borderlands and my friend hates it. We were blazing through Zombies, well actually, I was blazing through them and he was stuck with sloppy seconds. It got to a point that we got a team of 4 and they begged me to switch to another build because they couldn't keep up. Gearbox must've been trolling to have a melee character in a game about collecting guns being the most powerful. I might go back to using Roland later on and play around with a shock trooper build with alien weapons for the hell of it.
