Huh. I'll have to try that out, thanks. I don't think I've ever used a physical attack with her yet. Then again I haven't gotten too much free combat in anyways, as most of the game thus far has used pre-selected parties.

yeah, it's been a while but I used MOMO a lot. her special skills were pretty strong if I remember correctly. plus she's just so cute you can't help but love her.
really, there aren't any bad characters in Xenosaga as far as I recall; it was pretty well-balanced that way.
playing Kid Icarus: Uprising now. the fan service is just enough to make me smile, and the game has a great sense of humour as well ("who's this Icarus guy, anyway?") gameplay is fun though it takes some getting used to, especially on the ground. and I still have to get it through my head that moving and aiming are two completely separate functions; I keep trying to point Pit in the direction of my enemies even though it doesn't matter.
Yeah, MOMO's techs were amazingly good.
True, but the length of the battles were what really pissed me off. Most of my time was spent going through a dungeon, get in overly long fight, forget which way I go and -oh fuck went the wrong way. The boss fights were sick though I felt like I was playing a puzzle game at times trying to figure out their patterns.
TotA, just beat the Liger Queen. question for Tales fans (read: question for Kiarax): am I supposed to be getting most of my money from gathering spots? because enemies give out like 10 gald a piece, it sucks.
also playing OoT, just reached Hyrule Castle. I forget how to wake up the lazy bastard from LonLon Ranch... don't tell me though, I'll figure it out. at least I'm doing better than my first run many years ago when I tried every conceivable method to open the door next to him - bombs, slingshot, deku stick, pressing the a button from about twenty different angles - only to finally realize that door doesn't actually open.
Yeah, Ep. 2's system was good for bosses... shit for random fodder.
haha, my first run ended at the Water Temple. I feel your pain.
Oh, so there's hidden small ass hole that opens up after you raise the water level for the millionth time. Cool shit. GOOD THING THE CAMERA ANGLES OF THE GAME DON'T ALLOW YOU TO SEE THAT SHIT HAPPEN!
Seriously. Fuck the Water Temple. I got that shit map completely imprinted in my brain 10 years after the fact.
At least from what I read, they made it a little more obvious what's changed in the 3DS upgrade of the game. I honestly didn't spend that long on the water temple.

At any rate, still playing Splinter Cell on the PS3, and still loving it..........................when my saves aren't getting corrupted.

I have surprisingly barely played Abyss lol. I know there's a trick/glitch later where you can buy some items and resell them for a small profit, but until then I think it's just a case of murdering crap. Just use Sephira/Blue Sephira accessory when you get them to increase gald earned from battles too. I believe bosses give a decent chunk, so make sure you have them equipped for those unless you're hurting for better accessories.
Playing Radiant Historia for the past week or so. I keep meaning to go back to Vesperia but.. flipping on the handheld is less effort.
Been playing Abyss obsessively myself for a week or so now. The only way I could see to make money early on was grinding abit till you get the Sephira.
Later in the game you can make weapons from materials from the gathering spots and sell them in certain areas at a specific time for a ton of money. Made over a million gald in a few hours.

That's... pretty far into the game.
And yes, you can buy/sell your way into millionaire status after a certain point using that trick... or buying/selling silverware.

Honestly though... you shouldn't really be needing to grind for cash. It is not imperative that everyone has the best gear after every town you get to, the game does not require this in the slightest. Buy what gives the strongest boosts for the characters you mainly use, give hand-me-downs to the other characters if they are upgrades and then move on.
It's also worth noting that the game is pretty generous about handing out up-to-date gear from chests. Gald grinding is mainly just for ng+ fun and maybe a couple sidequests.
gah. I get annoyed when games do that; I just bought a Cutlass before the cheagle forest and then of course I got another one after the Liger Queen. if you're gonna give me weapons in chests, give me stuff I can't get otherwise or won't get for a while. or better yet, pull a FFIX and give me all sorts of awesome high-end equipment as rare boss steals. now that I like.
but yeah it's not like the game is overly difficult, I guess I'll just be judicious with my purchases for now. thanks for the tips.
