FFVII
just picked up a 360 this weekend so I've been playing Dead Rising.
Finally bought myself a PS3 and immediately started MGS4
Just starting chapter 4 welland I just can't believe I held out for so long. My god it's even better than I had hoped and I don't even think I've gotten to most of the best parts yet.Spoiler: show
SWAT 4.
Helping a friend with a Multi-Blog and he wants me to play the UFO games but doing anything I can to put it off since they make me rage.
Just beat MGS4 last night. Game was actually longer than i thought it was o.O
Now I'm mostly playing YuGiOh WC2009 and Mirror's Edge time trials. The story in WC2009 is so silly, its like playing a pokemon game really. Running around with little block puzzles, replace the random encounters with pokemon with not-so-random duel envounters, and other fun things to do. And i still havent done a single duel race either lul
Replaying Dragon Quest VI. Any game where you can travel the world in a flying bed is cool in my book.
299/300 missions on FFTA2: Grimoire of the Rift, so f*cking close and I can't seem to figure out which quest I'm missing
Beat the shit out off Baldur's Gate (even had time to make an evil character) and Baldur's Gate 2, and Planescape Torment. I'll probably work on the unfinished business mods and patches for BG2 before I start Diablo 2. I just hope I have enough time to make a considerable dent before Diablo 3 gets announced. Anything newsworthy about D3's status? Been to busy to look...
they still havent announced all the d3 classes, so no
Figures, I've been watching the demos for a while. The shit looks slick and I know it's going to be worth the wait.
Finally 300/300 on FFTA2, with like 9~ level 99s
Playing sacred 2 with the roommate, love it so far, and oblivion on and off
I bought MGS4 on launch day but stopped playing at Crying Wolf battle because I got swamped with work and didn't want it to be over. Fast forward to how many months later, I beat it last night with a playtime of ~25 hours. Did a sub 4 hour speedrun today to get the solar gun.
BBE run tomorrow?!?!
Epic game is epic.
Currently playing FF7 PSN for nostalgia and Killzone 2 for trophies. Want to get my money's worth before playing Heavenly Sword and either going back to LBP or buying RE5/Infamous/SFIV
Speaking of which, I hope Toys R Us has another Buy 2 get 1 free sale sometime soon.
Currently playing Valkyria Chronicles. On chapter 11. Enjoying it a lot so far... cool environment, good characters, fun strategy/gameplay, and while not overly difficult it presents some challenges and can definitely punish you for mistakes.
Next up will be Rogue Galaxy. Also playing some SFIV here and there. ps3 lineup is looking good lately; I should pick up infamous and a few older games (maybe PoP, Folklore, Naruto, NG Sigma) while waiting for stuff like WKC, Trico, etc.
also, here's hoping more ps classics get NA releases. and when is Fat Princess supposed to come out anyway?
Fate/Unlimited Codes
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
FFXI
Red Faction: Guerrilla
This game is really fun. I did not play the first Red Faction so I had no idea what to expect but I am having quite a bit of fun with it. Anyone else playing it?
Target is having b2g1 on psp, ps3, and ps2 games this week, if that helps at all.
Just replayed the first Sly Cooper, which was great (although not as good as the R&C series imo) after I got so frustrated by Silent Hill Homecoming that I had to find something else. SH wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting having played the first few games.
Then I realized of the ~100 DS games I've downloaded since getting my flash cart, I've played precisely one so I decided to start up Suikoden Tierkreis. Really liking it so far, it's my first Suikoden game.
I think next up I'll finally play a 360 RPG, maybe wrap up the latest Fable/Fallout DLC or try to start up Star Ocean. Overlord 1 or Dark Sector are possiblities, though!
I have serious gaming ADD from this huge backlog ;/
Tierkris is the worst Suikoden game (or one of the worst, anyway - it has competition) so if you like it, try emulating Suikoden and Suikoden II, and buying a copy of III if you can. They are better by far. III is clunky and love-hateish but if you like it you'll really like it.
I should play through Sly Cooper someday, I own it but never got far before I got distracted by some other game. Same with Ratchet & Clank.
R&C is really a fantastic series, probably my favorite non-RPG series by far. Even the first game stands the test of time quite well. I think overall R&C is a lot better than Sly Cooper, they're slightly different in scope but R&Cs script and weapons really make the games stand out.
As for Suikoden, I was planning on downloading the first one from PSN and playing it on my psp at some point. Tbh I'm enjoying Tierkreis so far, I find the gear progression kinda underwhelming but it's semi-satisfying, although I am regretting not picking DQ5 as my DS RPG to play first. I think the PSN store price for suikoden is only 5.99 so I can just pick that up and worry about tracking down/pirating 2 if I really like it.
I need one of those necklaces Hermoine had in Prisoner of Azkaban if I have any hopes of ever finishing my backlog this century![]()
