I'm actually playing off the disc; I don't think patching works with that does it? if it does I'll check it out. but really, after 20+ hours I've gotten to the point where I don't even notice it anymore.
in other WoL notes, Luso is really lame. basically a clone of Ramza with Poach. not like that's bad, but I already have one Ramza I'm forced to use. too bad; I was looking forward to using him.
think I'm going with: Ramza, Rapha (I know Skyseer sucks but it certainly adds variety/challenge), Beowulf, Balthier, Cloud. should be fairly interesting without being too overpowered (i.e. no TG Cid).
Not sure if it'd work with disc but regardless the slowdown patch is pretty fantastic. Haven't had any issues I can recall.
Speaking of one of the best damn RPGs on PS2... I was very surprised to find out just how good Radiata Stories was. Why wasn't that game more well-known/played?
I've always wondered that. I bought it on a whim when it released, and loved it to death. I think it just kind of flew in under the radar, and most publications at the time didn't give it much more than a passing mention in a paragraph in the backs of their magazine review sections.
Really a shame, I've only ever met a handful of people that even heard of the game since it came out.
Just found Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 hidden away, thought I lost this shit :D time to reflect on the past, I love this game.
Dark Cloud 2 is so good. mad love for that game.
I don't recall that game being released in EU, so I missed it, but I really wanted to play it cause Tri-Ace. I don't remember it getting enough attention to import it though (at a reasonable price).
Ended up grabbing Armored Core 3 for PSP to get a quick-AC fix before going whole-hog and good god, I forgot how satisfying it is to fly up the arena ladder and get all the manufacturer parts for free.
I forgot how crazy good the music is in Nier! That Lost Shrine music...
So according to the save I had transferred to my PS3, the last time I saved in Rogue's Galaxy was in 2008... and I had played it for all of three hours. Started over and I am now about 5 hours in and I have no idea what the fuck my problem was back then. Loving this game so far.
Meh, thought I was editing my last post...
Yeah. Rogue Galaxy was great. I need to buy it again. Not sure what I was on when I sold it.
In between UMvC3 training and platinum'ing DMC3, I started playing L.A. Noire. About 7 hours in, and it's great. I definitely suck at interrogating, though. Also, is it just me or does this game have a lot more traffic than GTA games? I feel like I'm crashing into people a shit load compared to GTA. Lol.
Every single MMO on the market right now does not pick my interest at all, I can only look forward to the future of FFXI and wait for GW2.
Being a generally stingy person does anyone know of any F2P MMOs or any sort of free to play game, preferably fantasy, rpg or something of the like besides console games that might be worth checking out? I've tried out a fucking myriad of F2P MMOs but I know that specific market is so vast I am hoping to maybe unearth a hidden gem. Thanks in advance.
Started playing both Wild Arms 3 and 5. Now I have the urge to replay Wild Arms XF as well >_> but I'd never complete them all unless I do it one by one.
Started playing the Smite beta today.... has a little potential.....
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Anarchy (no laws) on PSP GBA emulator and Binary Domain.
The Last Remnant for PC.. I really shouldn't have slept on this one. It even works perfect with a X360 controller from the get go, I haven't kicked back and enjoyed a genuinely good JRPG like this in some time. To think on PC of all platforms lol. Love the large scale combat, different types of races and setting, kind of get a Suikoden III vibe from it.
Also finally playing (clicking) through Sengoku Rance, I had always wanted to but was way too stupid when I was younger to change the locale to figure out how to install the damn thing! I'm glad I finally did and man is this shit hilarious.
