Yeah, The Last Remnant is surprisingly good! Glad to see someone else enjoying it!

Just finished Ghost Trick on the DS. Holy crap I'm ashamed of myself for putting off playing it for so long.
F2P Gundam game just released in JP PSN.
Only downside is that you can only play it on your JPN account.
Here is a gameplay guide

Just started Deadmund's Quest... >.> Was 10.99 and looks fun lol
Damn IC, how fun is that? I have never really played (or followed) Gundam that much, but I do have a JP account that I setup for the Dragon's Dogma demo... hmm. Not even 900MBs for a pretty shiny looking free game? Not sure I can justify not getting it.
Currently planning on trying out a bit of PSO2 so the Japanese hooks are in.
Currently finishing up all the VR missions on MGS HD for the Vita. (Those fricking hold-up missions and those sniper missions, oh my god, they were such a pain)
Also finally playing Drakengard on the PS2, I kind of wish I had played this before NIER. Liking the game so far.
just picked up Phantasy Star Portable. is the single-player any good? it was ten bucks and seemed like fun.
If you liked PSU I suppose you'd like PSU-lite. Personally I'd skip it for Phantasy Star Portable 2.
I would have, but the first game was way cheaper due to being older and used. plus I might go back tomorrow and pick up Monster Hunter so I can get a third game free.
then there's that $40 copy of Persona 2 Innocent Sin that's tempting me as well...
oh, and another thing: anyone play 3rd Birthday? any thoughts on it? I loved Parasite Eve but couldn't get into Parasite Eve 2.
P2: IS is $30 on the PSN. 3rd Birthday was trash.
Agreed. I really didn't like 3rd birthday. The TPS that it ultimately was was just not what I wanted to play a Parasite Eve game. You could read a few reviews though. There ARE people that enjoyed it. Not me. Also goddamn most older PSP games on PSN are still too much. Couple that with the price of a 16 or 32 gig Vita card and ugh.
ok, glad I skipped 3rd birthday then. ended up picking up Monster Hunter Freedom Excite and P2: IS (was $25 used) in adddition to Phantasy Star Portable so I could do the buy two, get one free.
out of those three, I ended up spending all my time on Phantasy Star, so addicted. even with just the story mode. heavily considering picking up PSP2, although it's rare and expensive for some odd reason.
Yes. Yes that is absolutely correct. That is a perfectly acceptable typo.
Even after playing through Uncharted 3, Gravity Rush, and countless hours of FIFA12 on my Vita (and putting hundreds of hours into MHFU years ago on my PSP Fatty), MHFU still leads in hours played on my Vita. You played Tri didn't you Yuri? You never had MHFU then? For some reason I thought you did.
nope. never played a Monster Hunter game before.
and lol @ my typo. I blame the Engrishy original name!
Internet was dead for five days, so........
> Beat Driver: San Francisco - Probably my favourite driving game in recent memory, if only because it has so many gameplay elements implemented for 'fun', and I love the car handling. Need to check me out the multiplayer and see how it's handled now that my net is back. If there's a racing mode where all players can shift into oncoming traffic to try to destroy each other while gunning for the finish line, I'd be all over that.
> AssCreed 1 - Bumrushing the copy that Revelations includes on the PS3 release, since I never got around to beating it on my PC (unoptimized port, sound skips non-stop on my current rig). 3/9 dudes killed so far. Forgot how frequently the NPCs commented on your platforming.
> P3 FES - 20 hours in now, finally feel like I'm getting somewhere, more decent options for persona fusions lvl20+. Just stuck on what I assume is the last tartarus boss on block 2, does a wind move that rapes most of my party, and I can't find a persona that nullifies wind damage so I can just play support on MC without worry of dying. Plot took so fucking long to start unraveling, and I hope it keeps its current momentum I've been seeing that leads up to the first summer. Kinda annoyed I didn't realize I could spend evenings at the mall after your usual return to the dorm. Would have had my courage capped by now if I did.
Spoiler: show
>Star Wars: Dark Forces - Old raycasted games (Doom, Duke3d, etc) make me feel nauseous these days, don't know why. Beat it for nostalgic reasons one stage at a time (taking breaks between them), can't believe I couldn't remember any of the stages from the game outside of the first couple, and the last two. Game blew my mind back in the day how it was capable of rendering polygonal objects, was so used to everything being sprites within a level prior to playing Descent for the first time.
>Child of Eden - Probably the only PS Move game I can play comfortably on my 13" backup screen (been nearly a full year since my 24" died....still not replaced it yet) since it's not based on 'aiming' your controller like most other Move games. I suck at it, but I blame a lot of my failures on the game not allowing you to use the analog stick on dualshock/nav controller to move the screen around for quicker glancing of your immediate surroundings. Not sure how this shit would be playable on a 360 Kinect without making the targetting reticule 2x larger.
>LAIR - No comment. Saw it for $10, just had to see how bad it was given it essentially killed Factor5 as we knew it. There's a problem when your Gamecube games look more consistent/competent visually than your big PS3 game.
>Rosenkreuz Stilette - This game does weird things for me. Plays exactly like an NES Mega Man game, yet has the modern-era troll moments in its level design. Could use me more.
Just started playing Dawn of War II again last week (thanks Steam for the crazy sale). My brother is begging me to get back into EVE, especially with DUST coming out soon.
I have really been thinking about finding an old copy of Reunion somewhere and reliving my childhood.
Alright, who has tips for me for Persona 3 Portable? General, no spoiler, tips! I would really just like to force myself to stay away from guides for once in a long ass while. Just started really, just hitting the end of the tutorials, night travel opened up etc. I haven't played a Persona game since Persona 1...
Apart from the initial difficulty curve, P3 isn't that hard. It's a little rough when you begin, but P3P makes it even easier. Just go through naturally and you'll be fine, save whenever possible so you don't get blindsided by random Mudos and Hamas.
I recently got Arc Rise Fantasia and I've been playing it for like an hour and...does it get good? The voice acting is TERRIBLE, and I have a great deal of tolerance for English VA but holy shit this is bad. And the worst thing is that there's no dual audio. But even if I found an undub the game play still seems very lacklustre and boring. I feel like there are mechanics that get unlocked later on after they make you go through the bullshit of the most basic RPG battle system of all time. I know I haven't played long enough to really judge the game well, but I'm getting this feeling and I wanna know if it's worth investing more time into (I don't think it is so far).
