Tactics Ogre LUCT: just reached Chapter 3. I got this far once before, let's see if I stick with it this time. I find this game harder to get through than the original because it's just so damn easy that every battle ends up being practice mode. on the other hand, fuck yes Ravness and Ozma, so maybe I'll finish it after all.
Okami: about to hit up dat Gale Shrine. I could literally play this game for days on end. it might be my favorite action RPG of all-time... maybe. thinking about picking up Okamiden, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
that's all for now. my gaming ADD has subsided for the most part lately. though I really need to get back into Xenogears soon; I left off at the invasion of the castle - that part always bores the shit out of me for some reason. hell, the whole first 1/3 of the game bores the shit out of me. and yet it's still my favorite RPG of all-time, go figure.
Did you mean Xenosaga, when you said it was boring?
I didn't mind that part of Xenogears all that much. Only "boring" parts for me were in disc 2 with the change in delivery method for the story.
You know what this world needs?
Endless Ocean 3.
In beautiful HD.
Do fucking want. So bad. Now.
nope. Xenogears. I love the game but some parts of the story, especially the in the beginning, just bore me to tears. the whole "helping Bart rescue Margie" part just feels so cheap and stereotypical JRPGish, especially in comparison to the "real" plot that comes in later.
Playing Outland. Pretty fun
Listening to Okami music on youtube, shedding manly tears. So close to caving and buying the HD remake.
Lack of music in the ending makes me sad, but doesn't break the game for me.
Fuck.
Think I'll load up Xenogears onto my Vita now.
Damnit.
Revisiting Final Fantasy III for the ds. Had to start a brand new file since I was completely lost from where I was before. Does anyone know if a physical DD party can progress smoothly through the whole game? I wanted to run a party of: Warrior, Dark Knight, Devout and Black Belt. Not sure if I will need magic damage. If so, going to swap out Black Belt. Any advice?
You'll want Raise learned on a couple of their healer classes for the sake of getting folks back up, due to the obscurity of Phoenix Downs.
Been a long time since I played it though. I really should get back to it. Usual story of '"near end game, waste 20+ hours maxing everyone's stats/gear before knocking up the final dungeon, lost interest"'.
Got the YLOD a couple weeks ago after 5 years of use. Was playing Borderlands 2 before then, now I'm not playing shit lol
Watching some soldering videos so I can upload my data to the cloud...then buy a new PS3.
You guys ever try Frog Fractions? LOL best flash game ever. seriously.
Got a huge backlog to work through, so of course I bought Resident Evil 6 and Star Ocean The Last Hope last night
Never played Persona 4 and likely never will but I've discovered so much awesome music from it due to Persona 4 Arena (which I actually really like).
Turns out this actually makes a really cool character select theme.
Bought Crysis 2 on PC for $5 this summer and finally playing it. I loved the first one and the sequel is just as good. The best single-player FPS games I've ever played and that includes the craptastic COD/BFBC campaigns.
Otherwise, bought NFS: MW. First game bought at launch since ME3, which was the first since GTA4. I've played about 4 hours in the past week and regret buying what is clearly a rental-worthy game.
So should I play Ico or Shadow of the Colossus first?
this doesn't quite fit here, but:
been toying with the idea of buying Xenoblade. I don't own a Wii at the moment but I should either get mine back or be able to buy a new one soon. there is a copy at my local Gamestop that has been calling my name, but I decided to check Amazon first to see if it was cheaper.
just checked, the game is $100 online.
yeah, I fucking called Gamestop right the fuck up and reserved that shit lol.
