re: Xenoblade, holy fuck. Melia + electric damage up gems + ether up gems = damage queen. Summon Air, Summon Fire, Summon Bolt, Discharge, Summon Copy, Discharge, Summon Bolt, Discharge, Discharge, Discharge, start over. occasionally Summon Water or Healing Gift if Riki alone can't keep Dunban healthy (but Dunban + agility gems + Summon Air = untouchable for the most part).

definitely a fun party, and Melia is a blast to control.

I did the True Neutral ending and it was very satisfying. I felt much like you did; none of the three main Reasons really seemed, well, reasonable to me.

was playing Phantasy Star III until I realized it's a terrible game. so now I'm playing Phantasy Star II instead.

PSIII isn't really that terrible, it just takes some of the worst aspects of old-school RPGs - cumbersome battle systems, insane amounts of grinding, and akward dialogue (how do random townspeople know that "the person you are looking for is in a Western Cave"?) and really lets them shine. I'll probably get back to it eventually

that's probably my problem; I'm too lazy to switch from melee. and he's dangerous with melee due to that electric field. I'll give it another shot when I grow bored of PS, maybe.
