Yeah, it is absolutely always in your best interest to know element weaknesses and body part weaknesses for the later monsters. Going in with the right weapon can easily shave 20-30 minutes off of a quest.
Seriously, once I got on the right path with weapons and knew where I wanted to go with them, things evened out a lot more. Kind of why even now I don't really fuck with ranged weapons just because of how long the fights can become.
Psh! You haven't MonHunned until you have bowed a Dual Rajang with Flyne Heroics active!
Finished Ys II finally. Wasn't too bad other than how annoying the final areas were.
Same. I can't really say I'm not surprised since the Chronicles never underwent a major revision like III/IV did. I think FF3 was the only NES RPG I played without a dungeon that got on my nerves. Then again I stopped playing at that cave where the enemies duplicate themselves so I never got to the crystal tower.
So I got my g/f .hack 2 and 3 for Christmas (she has 1)
4 is hard to find and really pricey but ill try and track that down later.
I got .hack gu 1 since the guy pulled it for me since he saw me getting the other 2 games.
Not sure if I want to keep it or return since the other 2 games are pricey and hard to find it seems.
Is GU games as good as the other .hacks and I should hold on to it? Or should I just return it and get my money back? (paid 17.99 for it)
G.U. is so much better than the regular .hack
Near the end of Ys 7, and the last few bosses have been pleasantly brutal. Now I'm just farming for all ultimate weapons and armour, but jesus having to get 100 iron ores and large bones is a pain.
Got Enchanted Arms and Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire today.
I normally listen to english in jrpgs but holy fuck Enchanted Arms was done poorly back in '07. Had to switch that shit to JPN soon as I heard the gay guy talk.
Crossfire isn't as bad as I remember hearing. Was just an example of a quality license rushed to meet the release date. MS do feel a little chunky though. At least I get to shoot a zaku's face off.
Been playing Gravity Rush. Shits awesome. I generally love games with sandbox style mobility. It's not a sandbox game to the full extent because it tends to be pretty linear aside from the challenges. But it is damn fun.
How's Enchanted Arms? Always been curious about that one..
Quite a few years late to the party but I just finished Assassin's Creed 2. Definitely kicking myself for having not played it sooner considering how amazing it was. MMO's are one hell of a drug.
Not sure what to move on to next since I hope to be getting AC3 as a Christmas present from the wife. I'm looking to either finish FFIV: The After Years, FFII, FFV or Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth.
If you never played Valkyrie Profile before, get that one through, then follow it up with FFV. Battle mode so god damn fun in VP:L once the game gets you out of tutorial mode a couple hours in.
Been playing Sword of Mana at work this week but had the urge to play MH Tri since march is only around the corner ><
Giving FF12 a second try after several years on this ps2 emulator. Enjoying it quite a bit so far.
I hope you're playing the Zodiac version.
