    Playing Nier now.

    Love the soundtrack.

Game is worth it for Weiss's commentary and the dialogue alone.

4th playthrough, dat ending every time.
I got the 3DS version as a Christmas gift and I quickly discovered that it's really uncomfortable to play without the Circle Pad Pro thingy, which I don't have yet. Circle pad is movement, D-pad up is actions, left/right are items, down is crouch, and the ABXY buttons control the camera. Triggers aim and shoot. So, so, so awkward not being able to move while swapping weapons or crouching, and I just can't get used to the camera being controlled by buttons. I'm gonna have to get the attachment before I make it very far. Surprising how well the graphics hold up, though, for an old PS2 port.

I love that game so much I've gotten four copies of it. PS2 original, Subsistence, Xbox 360 HD collection, and now 3DS. TAKE ALL MY MONEY, KOJIMA.

Starting playing Last Remnant and made it up to the Fiery Idol boss who is kicking my ass. I wasn't expecting this game to be hard, but now that this boss (and a couple of random encounters) have kicked my ass due to carelessness I need to start taking this shit seriously.

Does LR stay hard? Because if it does I'll be happy. Also a not so subtle gay joke in there too.

Yes and no, the game can kick your ass if you don't know about all of the systems hidden from your eyes. Also if you did some early level grinding... yeah, the game will fuck you up.

LR is unique in that grinding at the right time is really the only effective way to get anything out of leveling up, it actually can be detrimental when you do it wrong giving the enemies disproportionate boosts to the ones you get.

That's the problem I think, the battle system is pretty different and the game doesn't explain it well enough. Fuck it, if I get stuck I'll probably research into how not to suck.

Controller confusion. Like when I ported Street Fighter Alpha 3 to my Vita and the small buttons and no use of the joysticks crap up my combo's and force me to hold the system at a 90 degree angle to correctly input a super. Switching from the PS3 version of Fallout 3 to the PC version forced me to get a came controller for the PC because I was so used to the quick layout of the controller over the awkward mouse/keyboard style.

Was gonna pick this up but been turned off by your description. Guess i'll scoop up the HD package on the PSN now and hope the smaller interface of the Vita doesn't fuck up the experience.

playing a "perfect stats" game in FFVI. basically you gain the minimum experience possible until the Floating Continent, so you can level up with espers and gain the best stat boosts possible. there are some fun moments - multiple trips all the way from Zozo to the Veldt in order to gain one single stat point on Shadow comes to mind - but this takes the cake:

trying to get to Ultros in the Opera House. without fighting a single one of the rats in the rafters.

    I. want. to. kill. babies. right now.

Started playing Alan Wake on pc, but the way the camera moves(not how it controls, but the speed of the camera and how the environment looks while the camera is moving) is giving me a literal headache. Was this a problem for anyone else? It could also just be an off day for me and maybe I was already susceptible to a headache, but it stopped after I stopped playing and I have never gotten any headaches from something like this before.

I picked up the Circle Pad thingy yesterday and it's much more playable with that attachment, since that gives it the same button layout as the PS2 original. Seems like the kinda thing that should have been standard on the 3DS to start with, though.

It's a solid port other than the control issues, though~

I wanna play through FFVI again sometime, but I don't think I could ever do a perfect-stats run. I don't think I could bring myself to hate a game that I love so much. :c I've yet to actually finish a game where anyone makes it to level 99.

This was pretty much how I felt about the entirety of trying to play Kid Icarus. Such a great game but the controls just made me want to crawl up the fucking walls.

Also, on topic, drowning thanks to the holidays. Playing Zombi U, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, XCOM, Gravity Rush and god only knows what else. I've lost track.

A friend and I decided to try Saints Row 3 for co-op the other day and have been playing obsessively. An incredible amount of fucking fun.

Oh god, isn't it? I played through a friend's campaign a few months ago and we spent the whole time going "WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THIS STORYLINE?" We just about lost it at
    Spoiler: show
    SKYDIVING IN A FUCKING TANK

Seriously though the story in that game is so crazy it just has to be played with a friend so you can poke fun at it. Plus the gameplay is just great co-op, especially the destruction minigames <3

They really go all out in introducing you to the most fun possible immediately upon playing. The characters and missions have had me in like a permanent state of "holy fucking shit" from beginning to end. Primarily Zimos who just jumped the hell on while I was trying to get some space during a fire-fight and created the single greatest screenshot I'll ever take:

do it. well, not the perfect stats run. just replay the game I gave up on the perfect-stats aspect anyway lol. the opera house and the mine cart ride are just too much of a headache for a low-experience run.

I have gotten to level 99 with esper boosts before though, it's awesome. even the first-level spells are doing 9999 damage at that point, lol

@Saints Row 3; Does this game have offline Co-Op? Never knew it had Co-Op in general, and a friend and I have been looking for something to play together since Borderlands 2 is done with. Definitely gonna pick that up if so.

It has LAN and online, but no splitscreen if that's what you're asking about.

I still wanna do a FFVI run where I actually unlock all the Lores. BLUE MAGE 4 LYFE.

Not sure if it changes between console and PC, but Co-Optimus says online co-op and LAN/system-link co-op, but not couch co-op if that's what you're asking: http://www.co-optimus.com/search.php...%20The%20Third

fucking sucks that to play offline co-op on PS3 that you need to link up two different PS3s with two different copies of the game.
