Picked up the PC version of Legend of Heroes IV (the best version imo) and going to do a boss run. Really like this version of the battle system, as hopefully it will actually require strategy later. But, Falcom fan either way.

So, how re the Atelier PS3 games in general? Was considering picking up one of them for a while now, but all the reviews are confusing me so much I'm still not sure. I think I heard the latest one is the best?

The Atelier games are fun.

..That's seriously the best I can say. Given that most PS3 RPGs this gen have made me yawn or made me doubt if I like gaming anymore (until I go back and play a portable), there's just something charming about the Atelier games.

They're not without their problems (especially if you hate time limits, or are expecting deep combat, or some broad 'save the world!' narrative), but they're enjoyable enough. Rorona's probably the weakest link, but not terrible.

Started playing Sniper Elite last night. Interesting but irritating at the same time. Checkpoints are a wee bit too sparse. Nothing like making it past one large section of enemies and getting dropped by the last guy then having to start the whole thing over again.

I personally gave up on all of them. I played all the ones through the PS2 era, and I wouldn't call playing Rorona anything short of a chore. Totori and it's sequel are a bit better, but really, unless you're looking for something incredibly rigid with deadlines that make most of the game feel like a chore, eh.

The newer ones have their charms I guess, but coming off the PS2 era ones and Mana Khemia, couldn't recommend them to anyone except as a method of torture.

Don't know about the most recent one though. I've heard it's substantially better than the earlier PS3 trilogy, but still a lot more of the same.

Rigid deadlines for what? Things you don't know you're missing unless you're using a guide?
As a general rule, I don't use guides for a first playthrough and I didn't feel rushed at any point in Ayesha.

Did I miss things? Sure enough, I did. There's a new game+ and now I have an opportunity to get/see the things I missed.
Also, it doesn't appear to be rigid from what I can tell. Seems pretty easy to get everything in a single playthrough as long as you know what can/can't be done.

Just picked up Tomb Raider and Bioshock infinite yesterday, also bought FF9 off of PSN to play on my PSP that I found in my closet. Finished up FF-13 last week as well.

Debating buying MGS and the collection off of PSN as well in a few weeks and play them all before V.

On vacation so went on a stupid steam splurge. Got Arcania and then decided to check out Cthullu Saves the World and Breath of Death 7. Havn't played Arcania yet but the other two are aweessoommmeee. I was worried the old school graphics/gameplay would be a turn-off but it's really fun and dialogue is funny.

Always wanted to get Recettear, but I always thought it was too expensive, even when it was on sale.
Just finished playing the demo and now I think I may pick it up at full price.
Just a little afraid it may get a bit repetitive.

Been playing Ys Chronicles+ again since a friend gifted it for me on Steam last night. Haven't noticed much of a difference between Normal and Hard mode, though that could change once I get inside the tower.

Also tried the demo of Rhythm Thief. Pretty fun. Might have to pick that up with Therhtyhm or w/e the FF game is called.

Currently playing Infamous 2 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Definitely beating myself up for not playing Amalur sooner. I don't normally gravitate towards mage types in games but damn if mage isn't fucking intensely fun to play.
