Finished off MGS4 and Infamous, Now starting Valkyria Chronicles and Resistance 2.

Just out of curiousity about how many hours is Valkyria Chronicles?

took me about 30, which includes the basic sidequests (not DLC though). did a little skirmishing, but didn't really grind it.

Battle times can vary a hell of a lot depending on how you play each battle, but you're generally looking at 20-30 hours. Think I had a little over 24 hours without doing any skirmishes.

picked up knights in the nightmare today for ds. pretty crazy in-depth tactical JRPG. i think the tutorial on how to attack took like half an hour.

also got the legendary starfy for when my brain needs a rest. not going to lie, this game is tight. really easy but fun

Playing Prototype and Ghostbusters currently. Moving slowly towards level 55 in CoD and I will officially be done with all levels of prestige and be completely capped. Then I begin working on getting my paint schemes for all my weapons.

I'm just getting into Disgaea 2 right now - once I hit level 9999 in hour 16 the game is getting really weird. I suppose NIS expects you to figure out some of the odder game mechanics, like tower attacks, and exploit them to succeed on the optional content. On that note, thanks to Kaisha for the tips (post #696).

Have to say I'm enjoying how many people are playing Valkyria Chronicles right now! I want to see more tactics games using its play style and graphics.

Such an amazing game. If you're tired of grinding, try soloing the dungeons with just the main character. I did this as a challenge, and to see if the game would let me, and found out that it still gives you the whole party's worth of XP, so you level 4x as fast.
    Spoiler: show
Made easier if you somehow transformed a Tetrakarn into Victory Cry on a rainy day fusion forecast, and you can definitely solo fight the whole game once you get past lv75 for Yoshitsune (make sure to inherit some Null traits on him too) which you should reach while in the Heaven dungeon. From there to the end, with just the main character and judicious use of items didn't seem too bad, about 65~70 hours for the total game.
    Spoiler: show
That includes soloing the true boss, good luck.

Beat Bionic Commando (the new one), hooooooly crap was that ending baaaad. The game itself would have been pretty good if the level design had been better. I mean seriously using deadly radiation as a way to stop people from going where you dont want to but seriously you wouldnt have that problem if your levels werent designed like shit.

Just finished up Suikoden Tierkreis, I had fun playing it but it was about 10 hours too long for a handheld game. I def. want to play the other Suikodens and see what all the fuss is about, so I suppose that means it was a success.

Not really sure what to play next, I tend to obsess over my choices before finally settling on something. So far it's between:

    Persona 4
    Shadow Hearts Covenant
    Suikoden 1 on psp
    Wild Arms 1 on psp
    Dragon Quest 5
    Black Sigil
or FFVI Advanced (cuz I've never played FF6 before >_>)

or Valkyria Chronicles/Star Ocean but that would mean having to be in a room away from my computer and unable to watch episodes of sci-fi crap on hulu/tvshack while I'm playing. Also I'm supposed to be job hunting but lol @ that.

Anyway I was thinking about quickly wrapping up the latest Fallout 3/Fable 2 DLC before making a decision, maybe. While I'm on the subject of finishing things, I'm like 95% done with a 1st playthrough of FF4 DS (another FF game I've never finished before) but I'd have to do a little grinding before I can make it through the last dungeon.

Chances are I'll end up forcing myself to play Persona until I love it but that usually makes me beyond ready to beat a game/hate the game by the time I get towards 90% or so completion. Maybe Fallout/Fable DLC and then Persona? Hmm...

oh man, Shadow Hearts: Covenant is on your list? if I had any idea I would not have recommended Persona 4 first. SH: C is one of my favorite RPGs of all-time and is one of the very few to make me cry... even Aeris didn't do that.

it helps a lot if you played the first one or at least know the backstory, though. otherwise the impact won't be nearly as severe.

yea I played the first one a while back, for the sole purpose of having the backstory on the 2nd, then got sidetracked by a bunch of other games lol. I loved the first, especially the story/time period the game takes place in.

Fallout/Fable DLC -> Shadow Hearts? Hmmmm....

SH1 was good 2 was great 3. . . was fucking weird even for SH but for someone reason I still enjoyed it, not nowhere near as good as the first two though.

I would hate to have your choices >.< I would say your doing yourself an injustice if you don't play VI first it is amazing and favorite out of all the FF, but persona 4 was really good as well. I would say go with VI then SH.

Oh, that reminds me. I'm still yet to play Shadow Hearts 3. Big fan of first 2 but for some reason I completely forgot about the third one.

In semi-related news it kinda bothers me that when all is said and done and all DLC is released, I will have spent $130 on Fallout 3 and over $85 on Fable 2. I understand developers want to make people hold onto their games in an attempt to recoup losses due to used sales, but yea ;/

Finished up Saints Row 2 main story earlier plus the wee hidden mission.

Still got shitloads of stuff to do/play with on the map though I may start on God of War 2.

Still playing Disgaea: HoD. Have about 24 hours logged so far and in chapter 7. There is so much grinding in this game, but at least the story is funny. Lol at etna and flonne being called flat alot. I used an exp exploit in one of the levels where every tile is invincibility except one, just combined all the enemies into a giga 100+ monster and threw him into the only tile that takes damage. Also gave myself the 3x exp buff from the assembly :D

I got laharl from lvl 20 -> 42 in under 1.5 hours lol

wait until you get to the endgame... there's a level, I think it's called Cave of Ordeals 3? or something like that. anyway, it begins with 9 enemies in a 3x3 square on geopanels that boost XP. if you have a 3x3 attack and can knock them all out in one hit... there's your powerleveling right there. it's nuts.
