Recently finished A Link Between Worlds and thoroughly enjoyed it.
About 12 hours of playtime into Bioshock Infinite and feeling really good about it. Am I a bad person for playing it on PC, but with XBox controller?

Honestly, game isn't that challenging to begin with. It's strictly PvE so it's not like you're at a disadvantage either. Just play however is most comfortable, cause the game is worth playing with you more focused on the plot then the super precision a mouse would give you. Whatever you do, beat the game though. Top 3 for GoTY imo.

I liked SR, and liked how faithful it was to the tabletop/books. I spent a little time checking out the user content a few months ago, back when it came out, but at the time there wasn't much as it was still new. Given some free time, I want to go back and see what's new.

I haven't been fallowing it recently, but they were going to (or have, or will be in the near future) release a second official campaign, I think based in Berlin this time around?. I'm not sure but I also think they have patched in quick-saving (or will be), instead of only saving on map change.

Last I heard, Berlin got pushed back a year. Supposedly they're going to make some much needed changes to SR editor to make simple things like importing custom portraits a bit easier and better ways to fully represent all the class archetypes. Also, judging from the UGCs Harebrained schemes showed interest in, we might be getting stuff like random encounters, looting, and more integrated matrix puzzles.

The checkpoint system never really bothered me that much with Dead Man's Switch. The maps were relatively short and the longer Shadowruns conveniently saved every time you went to a new area of the "dungeon." Most UGCs traverse multiple areas on a given chapter, so it becomes a total non-issue unless people want to save anywhere at any time. If we do get something like that, I hope it's like a quick save system that automatically deletes your save when you load to prevent save scumming.

Also, I got a bit deeper in Jacked Up. Talk about getting pulled down a rabbit hole. This might actually be my favorite UGC just for the story alone.

I loved VIII for the most part. But that ending was all kinds of wtf.

That's because the true ending is Squall at the bottom of a lake in Deling with a chunk of Blizagga where his heart should be.

As fun as that was to read back when it appeared on the net, all the insanity that is that story line already existed far before the assassination attempt. (Laguna's dreams, the concept of GF's, the Garden's themselves, Rinoa's character, and the whole military type of training to defeat sorceress's) As for the wound itself, I think they only kept him alive to interrogate him in the prison, and then probably just do the same to the rest, and kill them after they got their information. Either way, the assassination was all planned out against Squall to make Garden look bad, so it didn't matter in the end.

lol this must have been his 1st Final Fantasy game. You literally explore the moon inside out, and get there on a fucking Whale spaceship.

If you don't think about any of the shit I just said though, it's definitely a fun theory to spin on the already insane story. I wonder what the FF8 team would think of that.

I should've said teenager. I was 14 or 15 when I played it. and now replaying it. Bought it offa steam and playing the shit out of Triple Triad. finally understand the mini-game and I can't. stop. playing.

Your best bet is to play it on an emulator and mess around with some filter packs. I did this with Chrono Cross, Legend of the Dragoon, and Megaman Legends a while back using watercolor and cell shading filters. All three games looked at least Dreamcast worthy when I was done.

On topic, getting into Bioshock: Infinite right now. Pretty good so far but not really blowing me away like the hype would have led me to believe. Then again I am not a big fan of FPS in the first place.

I'm really liking it. I'm comparing it to Bioshock 1 which I didn't think was all that, which led me to not even bother with 2.

For the people that say it's too easy, go ahead and do the Deep Sea Research side quest without Encounter half or none, I fucking dare you. Final Fantasy: Dark Souls Edition. I did originally when I played it when I was 11 because I was too fucking stupid to realize there was such an ability, and still defeated ultima weapon somehow.

Alot of people get turned off from 8 because they remember having to spend a million years drawing magic instead of the way faster and far more entertaining method of converting cards.

PC version features "Magic Booster" gives you 100 of each lower tier spell. So no slow ass start to the game, you just jump right in the action, I fucking love it. You still have to draw all the end game spells yourself of course, no easy task but it makes the game a lot more approachable.

You serious? FFVIII is fucking cake even if you level up and make the monsters stronger etc. The only thing that caused me problems (in an age without free guides or easy access internet) was Omega Weapon.

FFVIII isn't as bad as I thought, but it's not great. I'll be damned if doing Limit Breaks wasn't hype as shit though. Between some of those (Irvine's Quick Shot) and GF boosting I got a strong right hand that's served me well when masturbating.
