All this talk about modding somehow rekindled my interest in Torchlight 2. I have most of the general achievements, but never took a Berserker all the way to 100. It's actually a pretty fun class, even more with all the rebalancing that Synergies offers. The Outlander is still my favorite, but I wish I gave the Berserker a chance when the game was still popular. Seems like there's nobody on but Brazilians lately.

Beat the Strider remake a couple days ago. Great game with adequate pacing. I never felt like I was doing busy work, exploring was rewarding and the game never felt like it was dragging on unnecessarily. It's one of those games you can't help but remember how awesome it is any go back to replay it, whether to finish some challenges or put together a speed run.

I'm tempted to replay Final Fantasy 8 and 9 from going off topic so much on here. It's been a while, so I'm overdue for it. Already put together some filter packs, but I really need to finish some of the Shadowrun campaigns I wanted to get through before playing Dragonfall.

You can go ahead and scratch that one off the list. I borrowed it from a friend and it's utter crap. "Hey, let's make a Final Fantasy game without the core mechanics or memorable gameplay that players have expected from us for the past 11 installments and just make another spinoff to what amounted to arguably being the worst out of the series."

I can't remember if this was mentioned here or in another thread, but it's like SE is trying to hard to appeal to that western RPG demographic by completely throwing away the J in JRPG.

If anyone on here still has a copy of Torchlight 2 and hasn't participated in the modding, do yourself a favor and try out Synergies and the Far East Expansion. Those two mods alone are way bigger than the vanilla edition, like Diablo 2 and 3 big. New chapters, new classes, more loot, quests, dungeons, skill/class rebalancing, everything is amazing.

Edit: There's also a MOBA mod made by the same author of the Far East Expansion. I'm not a MOBA guy myself, but judging by the quality of this guys mods, it's probably nothing short of spectacular.

Amazon hasn't even bloody shipped my copy yet. Only reason I even went with them was because everywhere else was charging $64.99 for it. Thanks Canadian dollar.

Still playing the not-sure-where-to-go simulator that is La-Mulana. My save file says I've made 4½ hours of progress. My Steam playtime says I've been dying for 14 hours. I don't know how the game has captivated me so.

I'm not sure what to play next, I have AC4 but I'm not really up for it, sandboxes with endless collectibles are not really my thing, maybe I'll fire up FFVIII, it's been 10+ years since I've last played it.

Been playing FFVIII myself since I couldn't get it out of my head from derailing on here. Still don't like the junctioning system and I doubt I ever will, but the rest of the game isn't as bad as I remember. One thing I'm reminded of is how much I miss having a damn world map to explore. One of many things the current gen Final Fantasies need to bring back.
