Messing round with Aura Kingdom from that not-so-lovely-Aeria Games folk. Forgot I had 2k aeria points lying around that I've forgotten about so went nuts w/ it on here. Paid costumes being a random drop from a mystery box thing makes me want to punch a mother fucker. I knew these guys were money hungry but damn. Beyond that it's aight but it just seems like a +1 or something Grand Fantasia in terms of graphical settings.

Wakka's weapon is a random 1st place prize in tournaments right? You /could/ get lucky and have it be the first tournament you win, and it doesn't take all that long to start winning tournaments.

Something like that, don't recall the trick to getting it with out massive grinding.

You gotta recruit the guy suffering form amnesia in Luca. He comes with invisible shot long before you can get Jecht Shot. Your default center (Jassu or something) is your best passer. Biggs and Wedge are pretty good defenders early game, but you get some good Ronso and Guado tacklers eventually. You can get a way better passer, (female NPC from Besaid?) but that's way late in the game to matter. Stat wise Keepa kind of sucks as a goalie but you don't have any significant upgrade choices for a while. His only advantage is that he gets his goaltending skills pretty early.

This is all from memory, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. If I'm wrong about anything, it might be only Biggs or Wedge being a good tackler while the other is a mediocre center.

You can pretty much ditch and replace almost the entire roster in Luca and last into the 50s with it. (Which should be enough to get Wakka's reels and weapon)
Keep Letty and Jassu but ditch everyone else.
Biggs is useless.
Wedge is a pretty amazing forward early on but grows into one of the best defenders.
Jumal is a great goalie until you can get Nimrook.
Jassu is a decent defender. When you get to the highroad you can replace him with Ropp

If you're going to 100%/Platinum the game then you'll want to go all the way back to Besaid after you unlock the first Jecht sphere. This allows you to get the sphere in Besaid without having to face Dark Valefor. On the way through Kilika you can pick up Larbeight and Vuroja.

LF: Tidus
RF: Wedge (Luca) > Larbeight (Kilika)
MF: Letty > Vuroja (Kilika) > Brother (post-Zanarkand)
LD: Zalitz (Luca) > Wedge
RD: Jassu > Ropp
G: Jumal (Luca) > Nimrook (Airship - pre-Bevelle if you get lucky, otherwise post-Zanarkand)

Tidus is pretty lethal, especially when you unlock Jecht Shot 2. (You need to get all his key techs to learn it. Good luck on Anti-Venom 2.) Try to get Sphere Shot for the other forward. (Tech-copy when the sound goes off late in the shot).

This is all personal preference really. There's tons of options you can mess around with. Like Sol said, Ronsos are decent fill-ins too.

Attack Reels comes up early and may be there for the first tournament. After you unlock it you need 200 battles iirc before Status Reels can pop in a league. If there's a tournament prize up that you don't want, then exit and re-enter 3 times to clear the tournament and another 3 times to pop another prize. I wish I knew that shit 10 years ago. You need a total of 450 battles before Auroch reels pops in a tournament. After that, his sigil should pop in a league. It's possible to get everything in 26 games but you have to reset all the teams and data a lot to do it so you're stuck with the crappy Aurochs. His actual weapon is in the bar in Luca. You just need to unlock the ultimate weapons, win 5 BB games and talk to the bartender.

I've been replaying it and researching it way more than I probably should have. lol

It's cool. Now I actually want to play again and put some of that to practice.

So, I've been more into Torchlight 2 than I should be right now. That was until I checked my shared stash and found out all the gems/uniques/legendaries I've been stocking up on for crafting vanished. I don't even want to play anymore until I figure out wtf happened.

I'll probably jump back into FFXIV in the meantime.

Birds of Steel. Holy fuck balls. Toughest time I've ever had playing multiplayer in an air combat game. It's fucking awesome though. Sadly not too many people play it.

Far Cry 3. Never played a FC game before. Only about 20 minutes in but gorgeous. I still heavily dislike 1st person games, but I think I'll be able to stomach it for this one. Very excited to get lost in the jungle.

Just fired up Max Payne 3 and wife walked in during the cutscene for chapter 2. She couldn't tell if it was some movie or a game. No doubt I love Max (favorite game series) but the game graphics and game play is phenomenal. If you haven't played it, pick it up as it's constantly on sale for pc. After watching the newest trailer for H1Z1, made me think, "why hasn't Rockstar made a zombie survival game?". Incorporate game play and styles from Max Payne, GTA, Manhunt, etc etc and Rockstar would be printing money.

Platformines on Steam. It looks like Terraria, plays like Contra/Risk of Rain, and has guns like Borderlands. I got it for $5 but I don't think it's worth $10, personally. I doubt I'll play it after the first playthrough, but that was a GREAT game. Should be on sale during the Summer.

Fired up the first Modern Warfare for the PS3. Bought two copies one for myself and one for a buddy who never played the first one. Both ended up being the Game of the Year copies. Man that shit brings back memories. All my hiding spots, how much I hate juggernaut, the MP5 being God like. My skills amazingly enough haven't deteriorated. Ended up going 18 - 5 on Downpour and 28 - 15 on Bloc.
