So What Are YOU Playing?

Been playing Trails in the Sky the last weeks, I'm enjoying the game a lot.

I'm stuck with Lorence right now, I don't know what the hell to do to beat him, he heals for 2k and I barely do 300~ with a single attack or 600~ with an Art, he barely does any damage either, 150-500 per hit (minus his S-craft that can hurt pretty bad), so it's effectively a stalemate, he can't kill me and I can't kill him D:

I think you are 'supposed' to lose that fight afair, although it can be won with a good setup.

Regarding CS:GO, it's 50% off on Steam for the weekend. I'm tempted, but honestly the last FPS I enjoyed was CoD 4. While $7.49 for CS isn't breaking the bank, I don't think I can justify it.

Started playing Metro 2033. Pretty neat so far. Movement seems a little stiff. I'll keep working at it. I suppose I really should start trying to use k&m for anything using a gun, but old habits die hard. And my gaming pc will be hooked up to the tv for awhile so controller it is.

I can finally say this, I should of posted here sooner, but...

Got the DS version of Crono Trigger last week. Now, the PS version of CT stymied me, so it'd been on the Unbeaten pile. Got the DS one b/c well..I can't get at teh Playstation atm. Not for long periods, and I'd had a secret longing to beat a virgin copy of this anyway. ^^

Anyway, I JUST BEAT THE GAME. First ending, and the easiest one to get..I'll come back to it once the giddy "I beat a game that had been giving me trouble!" feeling goes away...

Good stuff, I hear the DS version has a new ending that references Chrono Cross.

Nope I haven't. Since we have a copy, I might see about getting a PS emulator working (if you think I'd like to spend a lot of time in my little brother's room playing on the PS, {No thanks.} That's where it ended up, anyway..) and play it after I get a few more endings on CT. Maybe even that one. ^^

But as I said, it'll be a bit, this is just a little triumph for me and I'd rather wait a bit until the "omg, did it!" feeling goes away XD. Chrono Trigger's just been on the Unbeaten pile for 10 years or so, so it's no wonder..

Well, grats on the win and glad you finally got to beat it! It took ages for me too. Similar story but it was SNES I originally played on and finally beat it when the PS version came out (with FFIV, then both got stolen right after I beat CT)

Ugh, I hate to hear that kinda thing; but if you still got the itch, I can recommend the DS version of CT if you have a DS or a 3DS of any flavor(Don't worry it plays fine.). It's still for sale on Amazon (new copies for a reasonable price); other than the new-ending stuff, there's some translation differences and they also uncensored it a bit. Y'know what the soda pop/soup really was? Booze. XD They make that perfectly clear in the DS version.

Give me a while and I'll check out the other endings, of course. ^^

It's seriously fun to replay too because for some ending the game plays totally different, not just minor changes in the story like a lot of games with multiple endings.

I'd love to get a PS emulator working, but have no clue where to start. Does anyone have a link with instructions or would be able to post how to get it going and where to get games?

I use ePSXe. There are a lot of graphical configurations I've never bothered to figure out, to make games prettier, but I've never bothered with all that.

Chrono Trigger is still my favorite game ever. I replay it at least once a year to completion and I've never gotten tired of it. When will I get my Chrono Break, SE?!?

Use Pete's Opengl2 pack with it. Once you get some good texture settings, you can make a PS1 game look like a late PS2 title. Unfortunately it's bugged with FFIX though.

After all this talk about epsxe, thought I'd go try it.

Works great, I haven't tried Chrono Cross yet (I was testing it with Final Fantasy Origins) but I understand that's one of the games that needs tweaks to not-crash. Minor annoyance is that the sound keeps playing after I eject the game (I'm playing the original disk). I'll see if i can figure out how to stop that.

Played Ys Origin a bit tonight for the trading cards (Felgahna/Chronicles where?) and tried Yunica on Hard.

Losing interest in GW2 again and trying to find another MMO. Sometimes I think of coming back to XIV, but at the same time I really don't want to go through hurdle jumping and finding a good guild.

As stated before, got Xillia 2 and played the shit out of it.
Battle system is even better than before and volt is hard as hell if you go to Helioborg first (at least on Hard mode)

Great game. Awesome music. Plowed through it in a day on Yunica, but taking a break to play Celceta before I go back and try it as Hugo.

Hugo is pretty fun, though I'd have to say the character you unlock for the story is my fav. I just wanted to go back to Yunica since she plays very similar Adol so gives me more ground for familiarity before I try as Hugo.

Also need more cards though... I really want some of those backgrounds.
