Gave Metal Gear 2 some time today. Feels a lot harder than the first Metal Gear. Mostly since controls feel stiff in terms of movement/trying to get up from crotching and guards can still patrol around when you're in an enclosed room and your map doesn't do anything for you. Gotta love walking out of a room and right into a guard's line of sight.
Magic Archer is fun!
But so is Strider.
And the whole game.
For some reason I was under the impression I had to time my attacks to parry/counter shit, but after another 30min of play I realized as long as I'm mid-animation of an attack I'm immune to projectiles.
Currently farming some healing items for the third boss because god damn that's a lot of hitpoints and time wasted breaking his swords repeatedly so I can even damage him.
Re: Dogma discussion.
My left kidney for a PC port (or an excuse to pick up a PS4) so I can get back into it. I hardly touch my PS3 these days, and the game running sub-20fps regularly during fights is a sad state for it given how fun it can be otherwise. Last I played I was on the boring hunt for those stones you can place to act as waypoints, because I figured that'd save me more time later doing it as early as possible.
Oh man, the game on PC would be amazing.
Dragon's Dogma PC would be like... bonerjams.
Couple months ago I started fresh on Dragon's Dogma (Goodbye Hodorina!). I stopped after beating Dark Arisen dude once to play other games, though I do need to go back through the dlc again still.
and as for 0RC infinite level pawns, any pawn on your friendlist is going to be free no matter its level.
So thanks to this thread i finally picked up DD and i'm enjoying it so far apart from when i was doing the quest in Watergods Alter, fighting the Cyclopes when the pawn i hired somehow goes over the edge...while carrying a few of the tablets so queue a state of panic and disbelief when i can't finish the quest until like an hour later i remember that shit gets sent to storage when a pawn leaves or dies so needless to say i facepalmed for the next hour![]()
Any opinions on Lost Planet? It's $2.99 on steam right now.
I was debating on that or Remember Me for $6. I don't "need" anything now, but if the price is right for an extremely entertaining game I'll take it. I did grab Manhunt.
At the 2nd boss in Metal Gear 2, but gave up on him for the night since navigating that swamp is a major pain in the ass. So was having to look up the frequency for the tap code since the instructions don't assist with that. Hideo Kojima, you're a beautiful, trolling bastard.
Played through Castlevania: Lords of Shadow from a few years back. Finished the game Sunday, decided I would get the DLC and play it Monday night before Destiny arrived Tuesday. The final boss of Chapter XIV (The Forgotten One) is one the hardest fights I've ever done in any game. Took me 6 1/2 hours over two nights to get it done and probably close to 100 tries, and that was on the second highest of four difficulties. I can't imagine him on the hardest difficulty. Finished last night in time to get Destiny installed and updated, but did not get a chance to play it yet.
Well first playthrough of Dragon's Dogma 'done' gonna do a NG+ now since i had no idea wtf i was doing to start off which ment i ended up with a few quests failed, still not going to complain since i really am enjoying it.
Dragon fight seemed to take an age even with pewpewing the heart but was really well done imo and the joys of being a silent protaganist @ the scene with the duke after that fight.
All this DD talk is making me want to play it again. Why god why isn't this game on PC?
Because Capcom.
And if history means anything, Capcom ports are hit or miss. Remember Chaos Legion not working after Chapter 2? I do.
But when they hit, they hit.
Remember that glorious DMC4 port? Pretty sure DD is also on MT Framework, too.
Didn't even know Chaos Legion was ported.
