I'm not even joking, I sat there for a good minute in silence just processing what just went down.. even more fucked up is if you visit the place later, you can see her fate.
This game has too many feels, so far this civilization chapter is ok, I hope it picks up.
So I finally decided to give the Dark Souls another go since I pussied out a few years back. I got to what I presume is the first boss? His name was Taurus Demon or something or other. He promptly beat me down.
No clue if I'm at the proper level for the fight but I need to go get my fucking souls back.
Level will rarely be the problem. Get used to getting your ass kicked by boss over and over until you figure them out.
Dodge roll and counter consistently, IIRC I just kept a good distance and wailed on him holding the sword in two handed stance for better damage, and just chug up that estus, don't die lol.
Can confirm.
You can easily defeat the Taurus Demon (and most bosses) with the starting gear on any class without leveling up. (Obviously forged/upgraded weaponry for later bosses, but still)
Just watch his attacks and learn where they hit. Dodge and hit when you have openings. Also, take out the crossbow guys before you start the fight with him. That last part should be obvious but I've seen plenty of people try to ignore them. You can do that when you get better at the game, but not to start with.
Alright, so if someone told me Terranigma was essentially Alundra gameplay with beefed up combat I would have gotten on this shit way sooner.
Terranigma is pretty much the shit.
I had always heard it was a phenomenal game, but actually playing it all these years later too.. it surpassed all expectations and then some. If this game only gets better from the point I am at, then it's easily going to rank high as one of my top 10 favorite SNES games.
Getting bored of FFXIV so I decided to start on the Steam backlog I had since last year's Steam sale (Yes, I'm that far behind) and loaded up Fallout: New Vegas. Didn't get too far (Helped the Sheriff defend the waterholes and started to find the plants for my next quest with her) before I had to quit. I am liking what I seen so far since I sucked at the first Fallout a lot.
I can't help but wonder about mah boy Deejay's DkS progress.
Also... can't wait
Spoiler: show
Buddy and I started The Evil Within. So far, not at all impressed. Glad I didn't pay much for it. Ended up playing Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain! for like, 4 hours. 2k15 is straight garbage compared to it.
Spent a couple hours dying to the Taurus dude AT LIKE 10 PERCENT HEALTH. I finally downed him with the help of like 3 firebombs and some decent blocking. I got a humanity and a return wishbone thing. I walked through a couple rooms until I saw a random dude just overlooking a balcony so I said fuck talking to him while carrying all these souls, so I warped back to the Undead Borg, spent my souls, and of course found a merchant 2 seconds away from where my Bonfire was.
I think I'm gonna try to kill that bronze knight looking guy who hangs out below the castle leading to the Taurus Boss. I was skipping past him since I thought he was a high level mob but I guess I'll try to down him now that I know how to block LOL
lol, the guy you didn't talk to is the guy who gives you the item for co-op play and he's also a bro.
Feel free to talk to him with no worries.
Deejay doesn't want to be grossly incandescent![]()
Just trying to learn how to fight the damn bull and I die to the damn poison rats. Every time.
hahaha, well, I always forget about those nowadays. I don't use that path anymore.
Remember the firebreathing dragon? Well, I just stand off in the cut (where his firebreath can't hit) which eventually pisses him off and he jumps down. I just run past his ass and hit that bonfire then open up the gate. Puts you just past the poison rats.
Took a small break from Terranigma. Back at it now, about to head to Spain. I already had suspicions about the elder, but man that omnious, creepy theme.
