Also, that reminds me... everyone hated on the princess because she was so slow but she had a passive that made her faster with every turn she got.
Haste and turn shift to her a few times near the start and suddenly she's the fastest unit on the field and getting faster every turn. I loved her so much.
There was another passive that added a random number speed boost on every turn, that was godly on her as well.

But it's so artsy and weird! Honestly I just watched a LP at work and liked it because the game itself did not look fun. Or coherent.

Shame about the Madoka game though.

Decided to replay SO3 but having to use PCSX since it appears my PS2 has finally gave up the ghost =/ On the plus side thought it does looks pretty damn good at native x4 and fps isn't too bad either after some tinkering, still getting some drops now and then but still easily playable.

I was going to play Terraria (droid) but apparently it broke with the recent update... two months ago. fucking hell, 505. fix this shit already. kinda want my $5 back; this is pathetic.

also I need to pick Tales of Graces back up. best battle system in the series. but my PS3 controller is broken (thank you Diablo 3) so... yeah

also, I can man up and admit that Earthbound's gamplay is not the best but it's got heart in spades, so I still love it

Never really looked into it but can FFXIV be played more casually than FFXI? Thinking of starting it but don't have the time to level grind and such like I used to with ffxi

way more casually. quests dole out experience like there's no tomorrow. gear is nowhere near as big of a deal (at lower levels) than it was in XI; you won't get torn to shreds for not having HQ str rings at level 14 or whatever. it's exceedingly solo-friendly and the times when you're forced to party it's pretty easy to find one.

I can't speak for later on - I'm only 23, with a few levels on other classes to grab extra abilities - but so far the pace is pretty easygoing.

Who are you planning to roll with in your final party?

I honestly haven't really gave it much thought yet since its been about 10 years since i last played but going off a rather rusty memory i think i rocked with Fayt/Albel, Nel and Maria back then so will most likely change it up and go with something like Cliff/Roger/Peppita since i never used/aquired them.

One thing i remember clearly about it is that bloody tower post-game, got to the floors in the 170 range before i said fuck it, so will hopefully go all the way with it this time.

You inspired me to start a new run myself and I'm gonna be shootin' for a Nel/Maria/Sophia party just for kicks. And yes, lets conquer Sphere 211 together.

For some reason, I stayed with Fayt/Nel/Cliff the entire game without too much trouble, but I haven't touched the game since late 2004 or so. Some of Fayt and Nel's best moves were nerfed in the director's cut that we ended up getting IIRC.

I actually enjoy the quirky story telling in the game. Yeah it's a simple RPG and graphically nothing to write home about, but I don't need jiggling boobs and forced fan service to enjoy a rpg.
