I've been playing Mario Galaxy these couple last days, I had it on my backlog for years and I was in a mood for some platforming. It's a bit on the easy side and galaxies feel a bit too small for my tastes (there's no exploration at all) but I'm enjoying it.

Picked up Bravely Default again and at the Swordmaster fight. Fucker 1 hits me on counter and when he spams brave he's still pretty nasty to deal with.

That's the fight with Edea's master right? Holy shit that was probably the most intense fight. I think I had to decide whether to take a risk and win or GAME OVER a lot of the attempts it took me, and most of those ended in game over's. I thought I had an edge by having my 3DS connected to a speaker system to listen to the top notch sound track, but fuck no, the even more intense boss theme did not fucking help one bit, just made the decision making much worse.

Yep, I finally beat him just taking the flight slow as hell. Also unlocked Ninja. Now I just need to grind up my job levels a bit before I head to the Earth Crystal. I really need to up my job levels though since I got nearly everything at 7, but I'm starting to take quite a bit of damage.

Tales of Rebirth, how the fuck did I not know this existed? Well one thing I do know is that there probably won't be anyone around to translate it so I decided to play it in moonspeak.

ToR has a full script for the game online. They're supposedly a translation in works, but not sure when that's finished.
I need to finish both Destiny 2 and start on Rebirth. I think I stopped Destiny 2 because at the time, I'd played up to where the translation FAQ ended.

Let it be known that Destiny 2 is in fact the bestest. Though he may currently be temp banned I can 100% guarantee you that Charismatic will also cosign that. PS2 version of ToD2 has a menu translation patch that will let you wrap your head around the enchant and skill system easily but last I checked there's no story patch or anything that hasn't been long since abandoned. If you're willing to slog through Rebirth in moonrunes then definitely check out ToD2. Also bestest boss victory theme, made even greater by the fact that the bosses will tear your ass apart if you give them the chance (and aren't pussin' out and playing on normal) unlike most Tales games. Nothing more satisfying than finally hearing this shit play:

I really wish someone would translate ToD2. ToD was my favorites in the series; the gameplay was archaic (what do you expect?) but it had the best characters, sidequests, atmosphere, everything. no other Tales game has ever captured my heart quite the way ToD did.

that said, ToD2 US is also fucking amazing. easily the best gameplay of the 2d Tales that I've played.

Bravely Default: Just unlocked Templar, but my 3DS Battery needs a friggin recharge. I feel like I'm so close to a huge WTF moment in the game too...

Also playing Bravely, just beat Barbarossa and fixing to fight Praline before the fire temple stuff. Really great game i'm glad I grabbed a 3ds to play, hope we get a release date for the 2nd soon.

quit making me want to dig my 3ds out... I loved that game. I never did finish it, but I did max all jobs and characters.

I decided to replay Oblivion last night... so I'll be spending the next few days setting it up. Mods: no pain, no gain. once you have it modded right it is quite literally, without exaggeration, my favorite game of all-time so it'll be worth it.

I did really like ToD2. The menu actually wasn't a problem back when I played it (I actually understood katakana/hiragana; and sort of got the enchant system), so at this point, patching the ISO and burning it to disc would be kind of a pain when I already have the original disc sitting there. I think a story synopsis is done, so when I actually have more time/energy to play it, I will.

I think I had just gotten Nanaly in my game. I liked Judas and Roni/Loni, but at the time, at least, Kyle annoyed the crap out of me. Was never a huge fan of Stahn either, though.

Really enjoying GTA V and the online component. I have a group of 4-5 guys playing with me and it's nothing but laughs and car crashes.

I played ToD2 on the PSP some years back but never finished it. A friend of mine once described it as "this game can kick your ass, it knows it can, and laughs at you for it." I think I got as far as the first time you fight the main antagonist, but I couldn't seam to beat her.

The FF8 event going on in Record Keeper almost makes me want to play through that again.

That tower is Mrgrgr-tier rage. Shit hits like a fully loaded semi and can take plenty of abuse.

EDIT: And then I took down the boss with little effort. Guy's a joke compared to the normal mobs.
