Bought Wings of Vi and Oddworld: New n' Tasty cause I actually have a job now and even though they aren't on sale I wanted to support developers for both.

Wings of Vi is hard as balls, but enjoying it, I enjoy I Wanna Be The Boshy but that is just a poorly made game, whereas Wings of Vi isn't quite as hard but most of that comes from the fact that he took the time to create the game properly.

Oddworld is of course one of my favorite franchises and I was nothing but smiles while playing through the first chapter. Less clunky than the original but the puzzles are all still intact. I love it.

And hoooooooly fuck at the first boss (started with Angela for bad times) on the hardest difficulty setting. I had to tone it down for that guy and bring it back up 'cause he was just wrecking me far too hard. I might not be man enough for this patch but time will tell!

Gave Valkyria Chronicles a shot since it was on sale. Pretty fun game, but my game locked up after I left the academy and went back to book mode. So now I have to do all of Chapter 2 again...

This is one of the rare games where it gets better the more you play it. Once you beat it you'll unlock more squad mates. If certain conditions are met others will unlock. It's just a fantastic game and it's a fucking crime it never got a proper console sequel.

All the Star Ocean 3 talk a lil while ago got me interested. I went into a local pawn shop and they were selling a PS2 slim for $20 with a controller, memory card, and the wires in great condition, I talked the guy down to $15 and he even threw in a free game, which luckily enough the only reason I bought the stupid thing was for the game. I thought it was too good to be true but everything works, the discs are clean and not a single scratch.|

Spoiler'd a picture I took for the eks bawks hueg quality. I lucked out, my brother has a gigantic Sony tube TV perfect for these games and anything else older gen. But I noticed there is a 16:9 option for widescreen. I also have the component cables for the PS2/PS3, I am about to test to see how it looks.

It is a fucking crime indeed. I actually just started playing the first one through again last weekend. The end goal will likely be my picking up VC2 to play on Vita if I ever finish my playthrough of VC1.

It is fun for what it is, but holy crap at how cutscene heavy this is. I almost feel like I'm playing MGS4 again...

In the same time frame how many must own PS3 games where their to own? Sony usually starts a little slow but then games start to ramp up the middle of their console cycle.

In all honestly if you are a major PC gamer than yeah, PS4 isn't going to offer you much right now but given their track record you know it will have some great games for it.

Should have just waited till it had more exclusives you were interested in then buy one.

I honestly thought I wasn't going to get so lucky on the price, that or something was not going to work. The condition of everything was really good, so I actually didn't even test it, but the dude was cool as fuck, I definitely lucked out for once. I need to find Suikoden V and other games like Valkyrie Profile 2 that aren't on PSN or likely to be any time soon.

Edit: Wow the prices for Suikoden V make me want to get in fetal position and start crying, horrible lol. Just gonna have to browse around and hope to get lucky, but it isn't likely..

There's also firmware you can put on the psp to translate VC3. The game was awesome. Sadly the dialogue wasn't great since the translation was fan made.

I wish Nep U released with the hard mode patch since the game is literally piss easy, but oh well, I'll still play through it.


Started going back to playing/finishing up Type-0 while juggling Omega Shitet. I also picked up Soul Sacrifice Delta and Freedom Wars on the sale, plan to try them both out sometime this week. I really need to start getting back into Disgaea as well but hoping that triple collection releases in NA before I start it back up.

I've also had the urge to try out the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata, I actually enjoyed the 360 version, so looking forward to playing the PS3 versions and its extras.

Craptastic storyline aside, Star Ocean 3's battle system makes it all worth while. At least they were kind enough to have SKIP cutscene already highlighted. What actually scares me a little is that I will probably skip 95% of them, but for some reason I want to see the notorious "plottwist" scene. I remember a pretty funny picture with some guy's reaction, I think that's gonna sum it up.

Back to the battle system, I am enjoying it a lot so far, I like the timing and chaining of combos, definitely better than I expected.

Eh, SO3's story isn't particularly bad. Especially not in comparison to any other SO game. Its just the "plot twist" that pissed people off mostly. Hell, I think the few hours leading up to it were the best the series has done in creating any sort of tension.

Its actually really not bad in and of itself. I think what ticked most people off wasn't the twist itself but rather that it minimizes the impactfulness of the stories of the other SO games. The ending fixes this but some people either refused to go that far or are not smart enough to realize the implications of the ending. idk.

Valkyria Chronicles: At the 2nd battle in Chapter 8 where I need to reunite Welkin and Alicia with the main unit. All I can say so far is fuck chapter 7.

Trying to finish Persona 4 once and for all. I stopped playing (I actually got my ass killed by the last boss, it was that far into the game) because I wanted to dick around some more (had a few weeks left before the-you-know-what). Then other games caught my attention and the rest is history.

My advice is when someone asks a certain question, you go ahead and try what they suggested. You'll be able to come back to the whole thing later. The fights get different/tougher as you go though so that's some small reason to keep going.
