Just beat Resident Evil: Revelations. Was pretty fun but it was painful having to play the two randoms. If you're a fan of the series and haven't played this one I'd give it a shot.

Got hooked on Skyrim again. Being a thief/assassin is so damn much fun.
But then I took a break tonight since I forgot about this gem getting released this week:
Spoiler: show
Fired up Grid 2 for the first time. Graphics are on point and driving is fun. Only did the opening race but I immediately like this. I can see this my go to game when not in the mood for a shooter or rpg.
So I bought Dark Souls: PTDE on February 9th, 2014. Up until about 10 days or so ago I think I put in around 11 hours before giving up on it. For whatever reason I gave it another shot and now I can't put it down. Hours go by when it feels like a few minutes. I recall feeling annoyed and angry as if the game was a cheap death machine. Now it's my mission to outlast everything. The best part? I have no idea how far I'm in and I don't care. I just want to keep exploring.
And as an early birthday present to myself for when I finish Dark Souls.

The first play through of dark souls is something you can't replicate. Enjoy it. It's a game changer.
I bought The Last of Us when it was on sale on PSN a month or so back. I'm gonna rock the boat a bit maybe but I don't get what the big deal was.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't think it was bad. Just wasn't anything I would call a pinnacle of video game storytelling. I somehow avoided the "surprise" in the last act after this long and it neither bothered me nor evoked any kind of real reaction other than a generic "oh, that sucks". I found the numerous time skips pretty jarring as well and kind of a lazy storytelling device. Probably also doesn't help that I just hated any segment that mixed clickers with other infected.
The Left Behind segment was actually a lot better imo. Honestly am I just missing something though for the vanilla game? Did you just have to "be there" when it came out? Was it not a great year in gaming? It's not bad but it's not. 10/10. More like a 6-7.
That's your opinion so nothing wrong with not feeling it. I on the other hand beat it on PS3 when it first came out and have bought it twice for PS4 (hard copies, sold for profits) and am looking to buy again. For me, it's a top 5 game of all time, but that's my opinion. To try to give an example of how you're feeling, I've been told by many and read so many times how Dragon Age: Origins is one of if not the greatest RPG ever. I think it's a gigantic piece of crap.
Not liking Dragon Age Origins means we can't be friends anymore Kal
In my defense the first time I gave it a shot was in 2014 and when I killed a rat and 5000 gallons of blood went everywhere I was pretty annoyed. Then, when the castle or w/e got stormed and my (in game) mother went from normal queen lady to scantily clad archer super bitch I gave up. I got it for pc when it was included in a humble bundle, but no controller support?!?! Please tell me how to enjoy this game.![]()
I didnt get more than like 40% into DA: Origins because I also thought it was pretty crap.
I agree it wasn't as great as people made it to be and the time skips was annoying, but other than that I'll give the game credit for portraying Joel as a person just trying to survive the world after it went to hell and going to any means necessary instead of the typical "can do no wrong" protagonist.
This list covers basically all the "essential" ones, and I've personally used all of them.

Of note though, while the Fade is fucking awful, I wouldn't recommend using the "Skip the Fade" mod if it's your first playthrough since you'll miss out on some story stuff.
I'm not really a fan of modding the core experience, I'd just go with the HD texture pack and the one that adds the option to respec points (which they added to Awakening anyways, but for some reason didn't bring back over to Origins).
Even if one wants to keep the "core" gameplay experience the AI mod is something I would 100% recommend. Companion AI has always been a weak point in the series, and that goes a long way to keeping that from becoming a frustration.
I just finished getting Platinum for all 3 remastered Uncharted games, including the extended collection trophies...
It's going to be rough waiting for Uncharted 4. Also, I have nothing to play now lol.
Tales of Link finally got released to the west. Knowing bamco it's full of HERE COMES THE MOOOOOONEY but I'll try to enjoy it. Really enjoying Chromatic Souls though on mobile.
