I gave Dead Space a few playthroughs for the first time about a week ago actually. The movement is definitely slow if you're not running or aiming, which was probably the only frustrating aspect of the game. On the 360, you're either holding LB to run or LT to aim, the entire game; it became very tiresome for my finger. I wish you could set the default movement to run, not walk; that alone would help tons, imo. And once ready for Impossible, you always want to be looking/moving quickly. I only walked when scavenging up my loot in clusters after a large wave.
But yeah, I still thought it a great game; nothing special in terms of story, but fun gameplay.. and I rarely play survival-horror games. It wasn't until at least 2/3 of the way through it the first time that the game finally stopped creeping me out or scaring me, and then I could begin to improve and take it to the enemies.
