God of War II. Can't believe i missed this one!
Trying Resident Evil 5 but I'm pretty much hating it and I can't get past the part where you go into the mines. Feels so annoying picking up the lantern and then swapping out your gun while I'm getting triple-teamed by zombies and Sheva already wasted all her handgun ammo. - -
I don't know how anyone could not get themselves to play Okami, unless you're getting stuck on progressing the story. There have been a few occasions where you have to do something pretty random and obscure to get the plot to progress, but only one that was really annoying that I can think of.
Still playing Okami, but I think I get sick of playing one type of game at a time, so I threw in a SRPG with Phantom Brave. It's not for everyone, but if you can manage to get a handle on the myriad options involved in setting up your team and getting them onto the battlefield, it's a blast.
The circle movement was annoying, and that game gave me some really bad fucking headaches![]()
circle movement? you mean the painting? that's pretty much the coolest part of the game, if you don't like it, the game might not be for you. personally I loved running around restoring trees back to life and making flowers blossom... and now I'm playing a game in which the heroine is an eight-year-old girl who wants to make her dead parents proud by being as nice as possible... ok yeah I'm gay. but Phantom Brave is addicting, for the record.
I was talking about Phantom Brave <_>
And I just started playing Okami again today :D Was saved right before the spider queen or w/e, kicked her ass, got to some city place that kept sucking the paint energy, and just stopped there cause I have to do homework
God I love Okami <3
Where are you finding guides? I have a friend who's interested in starting up Diablo 2 (about ten years too late lol...) for the first time, and I know he'd appreciate a guide on how to be good. He's the type of guy who will only go for the best of the best, so a guide will give him a good place to start. That, and me and him will most likely go through the game together, and I've always been fond of Necromancer and yours sounds fun lol.
Anyway, I've lost the will to finish Lost Odyssey for some reason. Just no time to commit to an RPG I guess. Which sucks because I was really enjoying it, but of course I hit that point where I waver between wanting to finish the game or collect some nifty things (being 100% immortal link skills in this case), and the grind got to me. Been playing NHL10 online and GM Mode, both fun as fuck for those who appreciate sports games. Online club is around top 30-35 overall rank (100+ for professional league) for Xbox 360, first time I've been a part of something that good lol.
LOL oh you were talking about Phantom Brave... yeah, it's a weird game, the type I absolutely love but would not fault anyone else for hating on. definitely not for everyone. I actually like the circle movement, if only because it allows me to turn off that part of my brain that's neurotic and insists on perfect placement when it comes to SRPGs, you really can't play Phantom Brave that way. you just kinda have to confine some characters onto the battlefield and hack away at the enemy. it also has one hell of a steep learning curve, and the difficulty of the battles doesn't really wait for the learning curve to pick up, meaning it gets hard fast. so I can see where it gives you a headache.
hehe, gets hard fast, hehe
lol, I also didn't like the whole summon whatever they were (demons? honestly idr) from objects thing.
I think I ended up just making the girl strong and just using her and not bothering with summoning stuff. I got kinda far, but the circular movement just gave me incredibly bad headaches I ended up just giving up I think :/
Currently, I'm going through Fable 2 again, Halo 3 ODST, Mass Effect, Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition, Guitar Hero 5.
BUT the game I cant wait to play is out in 2 weeks...
Dragon Age: Origins.
Google it for the trailer that'll make you drool for sure.
*I dont have a 10 post count so I cant post a link*
Edit: This makes #10 so here's the link:

Where to start...
Aeria:
Wolfteam - surprising free to play fps game that's better than combat arms and the rest, in my opinion.
SMT Imagine - Played closed beta but never played at the start of open but it seems a little better this time and I'm surprised sellers haven't tried to get on it yet.
---
Avencast - Rise of the Mage
Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood(PC)
Jet's n' Guns GOLD
Just finished up Prototype. Enjoyed it quite a bit; the controls lacked in precision considering how chaotic things get, but man that chaos makes for a fun experience and can add some difficulty if you insist on plowing through everything in your path. The powers were pretty varied and fun to use too. I liked the missions; solid variety and generally a few different ways to go about completing them. Some skills cost too much EP; I know RPG elements in action/adventure games are hot right now but I don't want to feel like I need to grind for skills. Story got kinda what-the-fuck and riddled with plotholes, but meh, can't win them all.
Now the funny thing was I thought I bought Infamous when I got Prototype, yet I'm not finding myself disappointed.
I think I might pick up Uncharted 2 soon. Maybe give Rogue Galaxy another shot, even though it's a damn snorefest.
old school nostalgic with forbidden memories on the PS1

D3's been pushed back to 2011, so there's plenty of time to enjoy D2. If you average 6~10 hours a week you can really get the most out of the game in a short amount of time. (and some luck during Baal/Cow runs)
The Diablo Wiki - Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and more = Good skill listings and stats for each skill level. Passable beastiary, but most of the articles need better mods and editing.
Diablo II Strategy Compendium = Best guide for a Daggermancer. Kind of out of date since it's based on v1.10, but lots of good info. Best part of the guide is that it's open-ended for personal customization.
D2Items.com - Buy your Diablo 2 Items, Cheap and 24/7 = Used this to map out my Necro skills/level. I've been pumping Clay Golem and Dim Vision over Poison Dagger while using Perfect Emeralds and Tal Runes for a cheap high DPF Poison that lasts ~7 seconds.
I did a lot of trial and error with my build, but it's relatively fun during PVE and extremely effective on bosses and preventing PK. Other builds kill faster, but you move faster and have the highest DOT against elites/bosses with a little support thrown in. Best part is you can fake out intended PKers with a quick Wand/Trophy switch to summon some minions before they find you to make you look like another Summonmancer. When they work on your minions and get slowed by your clay golem (if you choose to use one) you can do a quick switch to your main gear and get a cheap stab in since they won't have any poison resist gear. it's cheap as hell but with all the map hackers out there, it's all fair game.
Last but not least: Bramble > Enigma if you choose to do PVP. May not mean much now, but you'll know what I mean when you get into that situation.
There's been a lot of speculation since Blizzard is notorious for taking forever to release new games. I saw an official article some 2 moths ago, I'll try to find it again unless some one beats me to it. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a PS3/360 port after all is done.
Yeah I had heard they were thinking of bring it to console, and such, but was under the impression they hadnt said anything regarding a release date.
It'd be more productive to put it out on a console. There's a new processor coming out almost every month. It's probably a major pain in the ass to try to keep compensating for new technology. With a console, you can work with what you have and can stick to mouse/keyboard format. (and actually work compared to FFXI) Whatever Blizzard does, keep the servers separate I don't want to hear a bunch of BS about PS3 limitations.
