since I've been home all day after having some minor surgery, I've had plenty of time to lay into Phantom Brave. I'm taking way longer than I should to beat it, but I like creating/equipping/organizing my characters more than the actual battles anyway, and my sword-toting owl ninja will attest to that.

also playing Okami, right now I'm on a quest to find a lost girl from the mountain village. pretty sure I'm near the end.

STILL playing Persona 4, on my first trip into Magatsu Inaba/Magatsu Mandala, just got a little grinding to do before I take on the Floor 6 boss, then off to max some social links before 12/22. I think when all is said and done I'll have maxed everything but Nanako/Dojima (cuz I didnt realize they become unavailable), Tower, Death, Hanged Man, and Moon. I really can't wait for this fkn game to be over, 140 hours and I still have the whole bonus dungeon. Bleh.

Also playing:

Resident Evil 5 - unlocking achievements mostly, finally got all the weapons and treasures, now going through upgrading everything (about half done) and getting BSAA medals. Anyone know a good place to farm up points? Getting enough points for all the figures/ammo is a bitch.

Borderlands - somehow I got sidetracked and started up RE5 again, I have to get back to this soon though.

Uncharted - This game is good but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I guess I have to stick with it.

Dragon Age Journeys - a nifty flash game, it's really whetting my appetite for the real game

Next week is the new Ratchet & Clank and (finally!) Nostalgia for DS, then Dragon Age the week after. Got a lot on my plate to finish up!

I recently beat FF9 again, Nostalgia bomb 4tw~. I love replaying old crusty games^^. Fuck, I even still play my SNES occasionally!

I'm completely addicted to Fable2 again though... people be h8in' on this game so much but I fucking love it, it's so in-depth even if you "can" beat it in a day><. I could replay this damn game over.. and over.. and over.. and over haha~
(Note: I have EVERY achievement unlocked for Fable2, the Million in Real Estate took the longest since I didn't want to leave my Xbox on overnight haha, did it legit buying up property through the game )

Just finished Brutal Legend this evening.

Very extremely short story-wise, and some of the RTS section controls are wonky, but this game oozes style. Its very obvious that this is a DoubleFine game, and their humor is portrayed very well by Jack Black, and tbh, he fits well in the World.

If you are a metal-head from any end of the spectrum, you owe yourself to give this game a whirl. And it makes it all the worthwhile with the cameos some people make in it.

100% weekend rental game, and nothing more than that, sadly.

Also one last note, the soundtrack is nothing short of fucking impressive, and really add to the game's feel.

Thanks for the answer. I never actually finished KH2 because I couldn't get into it like I could with the first one, so I didn't know it took place over 7 days. Mind just either spoilering or pming me what the "over 2" means? I'll probably never play this game anyway.

Pulled 2 marathon days of Diablo 2 and back to where I left off. Kind of in a funny place now since I developed my curses more than my poison synergies. My poison wears off just before a mob dies, and I'm too low level for Terror/Howling to work efficiently. My golem and merc deal the final blow and kill my mana gain since I focused on +mana/kill. I figure if I can get a Blackbog's Sharp or worse case The Jade Tan Do everything will work out for a while.

Zelda Marathon for me. >.> Majora's Mask made me want to play more Zelda games that I haven't played in a while. Currently working on Ocarina of Time, and either doing Wind Waker next, or Twilight Princess, not sure yet.

Been trying blade dancer on psp since it was like 5 dollars to dl on psn. Trying real hard to like it but it seems like all I ever do is xp grind since the difficulty of enemies in this game scales up like 10 levels everytime I walk into a new part of the first damn forest.

still playing Phantom Brave. this game is a perfectionist's dream... or nightmare, depending on how you look at it. I hope to god I don't end up putting in over 100 hours for this like I did on Disgaea (although I take pride in beating Uber Prinny Baal, what a fucker)

thinking of picking up a Tales game, looking for copies of either Symphonia or Abyss, haven't found one yet. I don't have current gen system and heard horrible things about Legendia, so I'm willing to wait. I wish they would have translated Hearts, though. that shit sounds great.

The first half of the game is like the actual game story, and the second half is like, character "quests", although it's not really like an actual quest, it's just more story and a bunch of character development. While that sounds good, there's a lot of flaws. Each "quest" is really just revisit 3 random dungeons (I think it was 3? Don't really remember), and the NA version pussied out and didn't voice the character quests at all.

Legendia by itself, kinda, isn't a bad game.

The good:

-Story

The bad:
-The entire game takes place in a FUCKING ISLAND. No, this island isn't the entire world. You hear a lot about the other countries, and a bit about how there's some war or there was a war or what not, but you never actually get to see any of it. fucking cock tease.
-Did I mention the game takes place in an island? There's really just one centralized city, and you just kinda.. branch out, there's a shitton of dungeons which were really rather bleh. There's some sort of "pipe" system, kinda like Mario. (Actually no, it's really not like any Mario game I can think of, it's just that they were... pipes, lol) Once you reach somewhere, you activate the pipe, and you can return to the pipe near the main city, and once you activate a pipe you can warp back there.

It's been a few years since I played it, so I may not be remembering everything right, but except for the few bad things (which were really bad), it's really not that bad of a game.

eh yeah Legendia sounds like the kind of game I could do without. I might pick it up if I find it cheap, just for the gameplay. but really, when have I ever played a Tales game for anything other than gameplay?
