I never got why people need to farm LP in 12, by the end of the game I had like 3000+ extra on every character just from farming bazaar items and negalmuur auto-leveling

I stopped using gambits, switched to real time, and I'm using a job restriction guide so the combat is enjoyable. Only problem is Vaan and Penelo piss me off so much. I want to beat the damn thing because I bought the thing and I'm sick of looking at it collecting dust. Actually it's the only Ps2 game I have left that I haven't beaten yet and it's just staring at me laughing.
If you'll look closely, you will see this version (FFXII: International) has jobs in it... certainly interesting so far doing my 122333 without any sort of real guidance!

Playing Final Fantasy XIII, easily my favorite of the series.
so it took a few days but now I'm reallllly hooked on Shadow Hearts: From the New World. It lacks a lot of the charm of the second (particularly the humor) but I really like the changes they made to the magic and combo systems. I feel like they could have easily taken this series a lot further, if Aruze hadn't shut down that is. The characters are pretty good, just not as memorable as the incredible SH: Covenant ones. Still, it's a lot better than people give it credit for, so far.
Also trying to get through the last area of Red Faction Guerilla (meh) and FF Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearers (kinda meh) before January 2nd rolls around. Sometime between now and January 26th I'd like to zip through another Mass Effect 1 playthrough, but I might wait until the new year if I don't get Bayonetta on release day.
Other than that I have a few ps2/360 games I could wrap up before the end of the year, since I doubt I'll have time to re-start Zelda: Twilight Princess like I was originally planning.
Wow, someone else who like SH 3, I felt pretty much the same way it was weird, the game was so different from the first two but at the same time it was still corny and creepy in it's own way. I really liked it and have been hard pressed to find anyone else who enjoyed it.
Actually I'm finding it to be pretty similar to #2. The characters are similar but not as well written, but the same kind of goofy humor from #2 is still around. Things like Joachim finding weapons and the hilarity of the Ring Soul breaking character (just to give 2 examples) were great in Covenant because they were so unexpected, and while I'm glad they've made their way into the 3rd game a lot of the novelty is lost.
But yeah, SH:C was one of my favorite PS2 RPGs of all time so even if SH3 is only 80% as good, it's still a good game in my book.
Playing Front Mission 4. It's pretty good, but I remember 3 being better- I liked how you could get out of your wanzer to steal enemy wanzers, and I like the split story being on different playthroughs instead of 4's jumping back and forth.
This is feeling like I long game; already put in about 20 hours and I don't think I'm quite halfway through.
@ Atreides: Glad you're liking SH3, I need to try it out again. I didn't get too far the first time since I didn't much like the characters (aside from Shania) but it'd be worth another go.
I should probably plow through the Xenosaga games, Beyond Good & Evil, and replay Xenogears again first though. I've been meaning to replay Xenogears for a while now, being that it's my favorite game of all-time. I'd love to see how much more I get out of it now that I know the plot. I've gotten a few hours in and there were already so many "Oh, that's why he said that!" moments.
You should definitely finish SH: Covenant first, and omg seriously play Beyond Good & Evil
I did finish SH: Covenant... mostly. Got to the final dungeon, but my friend told me how it ends so I have no motivation to continue. I will beat it someday though, just to say I did it.
BG&E, however, I've never beaten. I started a new file recently and am slowly plodding along. Just beat the crazy jumping boss in the Factory.
Game froze while I was finally near the end of that fucking moon stone mountain dungeon.. ; ;
Been playing a mix of Dragon Age, NHL 10, Modern Warfare 2, and Borderlands. When my wife decides to give me my PS3 at Christmas I fully expect to leap headfirst into Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, or Resistance: Fall of Man. Other than that, WoW.
Trying to play ME before ME2 comes out.
ME, on my ultimate shepard to carry over into mass effect 2.
No matter how hard I try...my Amiel Shepard still looks butchy and not as Asian as I like it <.< but now she's sporting a short hair cut with red lipstick!![]()
I wonder if our character will look exactly the same when we port over the saved file to ME2, most likely eh?
